I am posting some ingredients that I have added....makes the soup mighty tasty MO...
Add to the original recipe V8 juice ( large can), fat free chicken broth ( Swanson in a box) or beef, a can of Rotel, chille powder, cayanne powder (to taste) Worecertershire sauce several table spoons, minced garlic in a jar, about 4 or five tsps., diced tomatoes with basil, oregano, or any flavor to your taste. Lipton's onion soup mix (two pkgs) I don't add much water. I then puree the soup a little, after I simmer the soup for a couple of hours. By the third of fourth day....the pureed soup is much easier to swallow....

Are we allowed to use anything to do with meat in our soup, even the broth from meat...I was under the impression that it was to be a vegetarian soup................or am I assuming wrongly

brooksidelady,
there should be no meat in the soup but chicken flavored broth is allowed. And of course all the herbs and spices you want. I have to watch my sodium intake so things like Lipton soup mix, bollioun cubes, soy sauce, worectersire sauce I have to limit or omit
