Re: Help

sazz, please eat as much soup and drink tons of water.  I promise it will be better before you know it.  Some experience those same signs and usually a headache too.  It is your body detoxing and it goes away after a day

hang in there we are here

Re: Help

I found the first day to be the toughest too.  Make it interesting by having a fruit salad.  I doctored my soup to make it more tasty and it helped.  I put a pinch of red pepper, ground pepper, salt, garlic and then used the McCormick Italian Herb Seasoning Grinder and added a bit of that.  Also when I made my soup I chopped everything pretty small so that it would be more hearty.  Try to play with the seasonings.  The vegetable day I thought was going to be tough, but then I decided to make Ratoullie and included all the same seasoning above.  My husband and I really enjoyed that.   I am on the last day and I want to cave a little so I am viewing these postings to keep me on track.  Good Luck....Just keep telling yourself that it is only 7 days....you can manage anything for 7 days.  I feel much better...as for weight loss...I haven't weighed myself yet.

Good for you lundbythebay...fruit salad is good for breakfast.  I finished my last day yesterday and I started my first day on the 3DD (3 day diet).  Saturday I will go back onto the CSD again.  Good luck on your weigh in.........

Re: Help

Hi everyone

Nancy, this is especially for you because we "talked" before, but please anyone can respond! I have fallen completely off the rails and I can't believe it! My plan was to go on SB diet when I finished the csd last week but haven't been able to stick to it at all.  Of course the big 4oth I went to last Sat night didn't start me off right either. I had a wicked hangover the next day and all I wanted to do was eat. Then I got my period!! And a bad one it has been: chocolate cravings (I caved more than once!), and cramps and generally hungry! Arrrgh!

I was so committed too! I don't think the SB is for me which is funny cause I've done it before and enjoyed it, but after csd I want my fruit now. I think eating fruit lessens my cravings for sweet stuff. Does anyone else feel that way?

Your idea Brookside Lady of doing the 3dd and then back to csd appeals to me at the moment. But I think I need to do csd first now. I have definitely gained whatever I lost on csd last week, I can feel it. I'm too scared to actually weigh!!

I am looking for inspiration! Nancy, no matter what I am starting the csd diet with you on  the 16th! I hope that is still your plan??? Only thing is, since I'm in NZ my 16th starts the day before yours but that's ok. I would wait and start on my 17th which is your 16th but I want to start on the Sunday, which is the 16th for me. Are you confused yet?smiley-smile

So any tips or motivation until then would be appreciated!!!!!! Thanks! I am so mad at myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! csd novice smiley-sad

Re: Help

Hi csd novice...don't be so down on yourself...you know...if everybody did everything right  concerning food in our lives...we wouldn't have to diet...we'd all be thin.  But, that's not the case.  I know that they say one shouldn't do this diet for longer than 7 days...but how unhealty can it be compared to say.......what you have eaten in these days you have fallen off the rails ...as you say.  If you have read my posts...I have a High School Reunion to go to on Sept 29th and I am doing a rotation of CSD...3DD...until then...and I am not a bit worried about it being unhealthy...I feel great...especially the non-bloat of my body.  I tried the Adkins...sugarbusters...low carb diets....and I remember on Adkins eating tons of bacon...meat of all kinds...eggs...cheese....butter....cream .....chicken soup with an inch of grease floating on top............................and HARDLY any veggies or fruit...now that's unhealthy....and by the way...in the last 8 years of trying low carb diets, I have put on 25#.  I  suggest that you should stick with this for awhile like I am doing till you are ready for the SBD...maybe in a month or so you will be ready....

Re: Help

Hi csdnovice, sorry I have not posted before now I have been out of town on business and no internet access until this morning.  Yes I still plan on csd starting on the 16th and if you start a day ahead of me that is ok too, I am sure we will be able to support each other fine

Don't worry about the slip ups I have started and goofed up more times than I have finished this diet.  my weak day is day 4 then 6 & 7 for some reason

nancy

btw matiz how are you doing so far?

Re: Help

Hello matiz...I am not familiar with that kind of weighing...isn't it neat how we can be from all parts of the world and help each other ...As far as the banana day...I LOVED THE SHAKES...but I tried the fried bananas and could hardly gag them down.  Does one use yellow, ripe bananas or the firm more unripe ones?  Mine became a gooey mess and I could never have made them on a grill!
