I have done this diet before christmas for 4 days as I had social event to go to on day 5. Though, still managed to loose roughly 3 lbs that I have managed to keep off.
Started the diet on past Saturday... for some reason, this time around, it was a lot harder. On day 2, I had severe headache and was really weak. Took an afternoon nap. Woke up and had my potato.
Unfortunately, (excuse me for being gross), I didn't feel well afterwards and finally threw up everything....
So, I think I will get off the diet for a while and let my stomach settle.... not sure if anyone else had problems like this before and any idea on what might have caused it..
One thing I will recommend is take vitamin during the diet. I caught a cold last time I did the diet and I think it's just 'coz my imune system is weaker when I am on a diet.... I suspect this time around it has something to do with that also...
Good news is.... within the 2 days, still manage to shed 2 lbs... though hope it's not just water weight....
good luck to everyone else.

I have caught a cold also :-( and can not get rid of it. I am too many days into the diet now to stop, unless it gets too severe. :-( So I'll just have to deal with it and ride it out, unless I get too sick. So far, the diet has been okay, altho I have to go to the bathroom a lot, and feel bloated a lot.

I too had terrible headaches for the first 3 days, also reckon it was the caffeine and wine exiting my body. I took a lot of headache pills!!!!!!!!!!! and pushed on with also gassy stomach and bloated but I feel great now (wnd day after stopping) eating healthy, still lots of veges and plan to make a vege soup to keep up with when I get peckish. It is worth pushing through all this. I did not do much excercise the first couple of days but then I resumed my 5km daily walks. As it is only 7 days you can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there!

I have found myself feeling very light headed and not able to focus. All of my energy is gone but I think it is because of all the cafeine I am use to drinking. I am probally going through with draws from it. I drank like a 12 pack a day. I'll get through it.

I know I get WICKED headaches when I don't have my coffee - so I've been having it. And I also use half & half which I know is not allowed on the diet, but I simply won't make it through the week without my coffee and half and half. Today is only Day One for me so I don't know if I've screwed myself up yet. We'll see, I guess. Except for the coffee thing though, it's been pretty easy today - I've been surprised.

Heartbreaktown, I do know what you mean about the coffee and well I am the same way. I usually drink at least three to four cups a day and I take 2 cream 2 sugar... well let's just say when I was on the diet I forced myself to drink it black for the first 2 days then after I couldn't stomach the black anymore, I added skim milk and 2 sweeteners... what a difference! And now even when I am off the diet, I still drink it that way. It's better for you and as you go along through the diet, you won't drink as much. I have one a day... sometimes 2 but mostly just one and I am good.... Multivitamins are crucial... make sure you take one everyday!
Good luck!

Keltity, Thanks. I don't think it's going to cause too much trouble - I don't drink much - usually two cups that I don't even finish. I'm sure I'm consuming about 60 calories for the day in coffee. Of course - I won't know for sure until weigh-in time.
