Thai Cabbage soup

This is really easy and tastes GREAT!
Use the original recipie only get rid of the tomatos and the lipton soup mix
Instead add chinese cabbae pak choi with the cabbage

Cook off the onions with 2 garlic cloves and as many red chillis as you like.
Then add some fresh ginger.
Add the rest of the veges as normal including mushrooms as they are really nice with this recipie.
You can also add limes if you want a more interense flavour.
Add a bit of soy sauce when you add the liquid and you will have a beautiful thai cabbage broth its yummy!!
MAkes a real change from boring soup recipie
Let me know if you like it too
I have lost 4 lbs and am on day 5
Didnt have much weight to loose but feel really healthy and fresh and energused love it!

Re: Thai Cabbage soup

This recipe sounds delicious. I love bok choy. I will definetly try this recipe next week after this week is up.I really disliked the recommended soup version. The onions and tomatoes made me wanna barf. I will update when I start the thai soup but I know I'll love it.
Thanks for the recipe.

Re: Thai Cabbage soup

This is close to how I made my second pot of soup.. another 'thai' taste is to load it with cilantro..  tasty tasty.

I also hit it with a wack of paprika  (not so thai, but it went well).

Re: Thai Cabbage soup

Thanks so much,  I'm on day 3 and the other soup was pretty nauseating.  So I tried your version, it's so much better.  I'd rather eat fresh tomatoes than canned ones in a soup, anyway

Re: Thai Cabbage soup

Thank you for the great recipe, I live in Thailand so the fresh ingredients are easy to find!

If you can get hold of the small hot red thai chilies throw a couple in and blend the whole mixture. Tastes delicious if you like a bit of a kick.

Re: Thai Cabbage soup

Thanks for the recipe, I love thai soups. Made a batch last night & its great but beware for the chillis- jeeze! smiley-eek
I put at least 1 chilli into all my meals so I thought as it was a Thai soup I should spice in up a little I put 3 red chillis in & holy God- don’t know how I’m gonna eat it. I added more veg this morning so hopefully that’ll ease the spices a little. Its just unfortunate cos cant add anything to counteract the spice.

As tomorrows my Milk & Banana day I was thinking I could add some milk or maybe even fat free natural yogurt? Would that be allowed??

Re: Thai Cabbage soup

Yes fat free plain yoghurt and skimmed milk would both be fine for your soup on day 4.
Good luck
