Hello everyone after much research and reading the discussion boards I've finally decided that this diet would be good for me, after failing on weight watchers and numerous other 'slow' diets!
I have about 20pounds to lose and I started today so far having eaten an apple and some soup.
Any idea on what I'm expected to lose? I'm 21, 5'2 and weigh 149pounds (10stone 6) as I know that age and current weight can effect this.
Would love to hear from people especially those who have been successful and those who are also just starting out

Nikki, Welcome to the CSD club!!
Glad to hear you have made an 'informed' decision when deciding to do the CSd - It really is a great boost to your motivation and weightloss when starting a healthy eating plan - I definitely recommend it!!.... and it is a great detox - a lot of us felt our skin was much clearer and we felt better/lighter afterwards.
By now you should be on day2, I recommend that you call in to the site during the day as reading everyones experiences really helps to get over those low periods when you think you can't do it! I don't know what you ate yesterday in addition to your apple, but I urge you to take full advantage of what food is allowed for the day and NOT starve yourself. Also a 30 minute gentle walk every day helped to keep my metabolism up 
By this afternoon you might be wondering if you can do this but I promise getting past day 3/4 takes a little less work and by day 7 the week has flown!! Keeping busy and getting out of the house also helps take your mind of it. When you feel a pang of hunger quickly heat up a cup of blended soup - and drink PLENTY of water.
Hope this is of some help - Good luck with the week - its definitely worth the effort especially when you think by next Monday you will be between 5 - 8 pounds lighter!

Hello, thanks for the advice and encouragment. I think I did really well yesterday and in addition to my apple I had a bunch of grapes and 2 bowls of soup and I felt stuffed by the time I went to bed! 
Its now day 2 and I find the vegetable day easier as I prefer vegetables over fruit.. lucky me! But is it OK to eat tomatoes on the vegetable day as I read somewhere that they were classed as a fruit?
