I actually don't mind the soup! It's not bad, I don't know why so many people don't like it!
Offline
I know, I like it too and I think that is the key factor. Whenever I feel like snacking I have a bowl of soup. When I'm hungry, I have a bowl of soup. Before meals, etc. etc.
So I just got back from a dept. store and tried on some shorts and capris and am so disgusted with myself! I am 2 sizes larger than I was a year ago! Now I am more determined than ever to get serious with this. For sure Monday I'm on the bandwagon again! There's no time like the present and I can't wait 2 weeks in between, I don't care what anyone says.
Anyone coming along for the ride?

Great! The more the merrier! Are you going to do the original or the "New" or your own "tweaked" version?

depending on how these last three days go and my final loss will decide which route I go on Monday but I will be joining you guys with some sort of diet Monday!

Good, good, good! Something about MONDAY...it's a good day to start! Tomorrow is day 7 for me so Sat. and Sun. I'll take a break. I hope Sat. when I weigh in I will have lost 5-7 pounds. Of coarse I'd love to shed more but I am being realistic. I will still kind of follow the Weight Watcher plan on the weekend, (counting points) and I am going to have some cocktails and enjoy myself! I will count the points in my drinks, no problem, I just get less food, but hey...we all have our priorities, right? ha ha

lol! twilight! I was out with my mate today who has been on weight watchers for months but lately she's been finding it really hard. Well we went in the shop as I was looking to get more fruit and veg, yes I am being good and she bought a big box of mallow biscuits and said did you know these are only half a point each that means I can eat 36 of these a day and still be dieting!!!!!! I think she was planning 18 for her dinner this evening lol! I'm with you blow the food on days off diet, just give me the alcohol lol!

LOL!! I'M WITH YA SISTER!

I lost 40 pounds on WW and kept it off for years! It's just been since since September that I've packed on the 12 pounds. I know it's from alcohol (geez I sound like a lush!) and late night fast food along with my stopping yoga...I'll probably do a little WW maintenance after I lose the 12. I just wanted a bit of a jump start.

I did WW 8 years ago and lost 50 pounds and kept it off until the past 8 months! It does work and is something you can do the rest of your life, but I am too impatient right now and need a jump start! I will still keep my points at 20 a day during my OFF days! I know that plan so well that it's second nature!
I used to always pretend that the booze didn't count and that I can drink and stay within my weight goal but the problem is when your wasted, you don't care what you eat. So on the weekends when I'm "off csd plan" I will try to keep it at 3 cocktails or only ONE bottle of wine! LOL he he, just kidding...though a bottle of wine is only 8 points! (Yes I've measured and counted it in my journals! Whose the lush?)

Lol! she had her points at luchtime with wine lol! I would like to point out I had fizzy water I mean in a pub me drinking fizzy water her swigging wine counting her weightwatcher points! I think the barman felt sorry for me he dressed the water with ice and lemon lol! I was driving though but she went home wasted with her large box of mallow biscuits to munch on and that is weightwatchers lol!

Well Sal, she may loose 0.3 pounds this week and you may loose 3! So There! Or do I mean "Stones"?
So if 14 lbs. = 1 stone, what's 1 pound? Do you fraction it out or then go to kilos? I guess you could go to pebbles! lol
Offline
1 lb is the same as 1 pound lb stands for pound. What do you call lb then?
Offline
same here pound = lb. I was just making a joke about the "Stone" measurement of you Brits! I know a stone = 14 pounds but what = 1 pound? 1/14th of a stone?
You know I think I remember watching an educational show one time and they said that originated in the olden days from people having to carry stones to measure their weight or something. you know, "he carries his weight in stones" or am I way off there?
Anyway, I like it, it sounds better so from now on my goal weight is 10 Stone!

Oh Twilight you well make me laugh!
To be honest that's what we would say here in the UK we would never say I'm aiming at 140 lbs.
The strange thing is in school we really only teach metric and have done for years which is Kilograms and grams for weight and metres and centmetres for length, but everyone here [including most children] still would give their weight in stones and pounds and their height in feet and inches.
Well I want American clothes sizes over here cos here I'm a size 12 but in The USA I'm only a size 10!
And I want rottingoaks flipping tape measure lol!
Offline
Me too! lol I hate the tape measurer, I haven't measured myself since high school!
It's funny too, here in the US it depends on the brand and the quality of the item. I never buy expensive clothing (because I'm a cheapskate) but I am usually a size smaller in a good quality brand! Maybe that's why rich women pay such outrageous prices for things!
Offline
Never mind twilight we'll never be able to do modelling again as we'd have to be size 0 for that lol!
Offline

haha. Sally, there is a downside to my tape measurer. If you want to determine your bra size, no matter what your actual size is, according to my tape measurer, you'll be AA.
Unless that's what you want to be. lol.
Offline
I think in the "May Challenge" postings someone asked whether to measure their chest with bra on or bra off. If I did it "bra-less" I'd be a "36 LONG"!! Ha ha! that was from an old joke I once heard. (but so true once you're over 40 yr. old!)
