brown rice...

ok, how do i prepare the brown rice?  can i put salt and butter on it?  or anything with flavor?

I think you're supposed to get the salt from the onion mix in the soup and the fats from when you have skim milk and the potato. Try the instant kind of brown rice like uncle bens'. It's easy to make and you can also put dried herbs on it. Try onion powder or garlic powder and some cracked black pepper while cooking.

on the brown rice day, i was thinking of adding it to the soup......if soup and rice can be eaten that day, why not combine the two?

I was thinking the exact same thing!  Like a gumbo!  Also thinking about adding cut up steak to the soup on steak day and making stew.

I was thinking of cutting up onions and celery and add a lot of spices and see if it tastes good. Im not too keen on brown rice but I know it is necessary. Maybe okra, onions and a tomato and make real gumbo.
