This is my 3rd time on the CSD and I lost 6lbs every time.
1st time was really strict, with lots of water and some exercise - lost 6lbs
(gained 3lbs meanwhile)
2nd time no exercise, less water and less soup (was getting sick of it) - lost 6lbs
(gained 3lbs meanwhile)
This week I've lost 6lbs so far and I've allowed myself some toast and FF cheese everyday. I even had a strawberry sundae at mcdonalds on day 4! No exercise either but I've been having *lots* of soup everyday.
I only have 10lbs left to lose now

Starting this crazy diet tomorrow...I'm leaving for Europe at the end of June and really need to lose at least 20 pounds. One huge problem, I'm a young bartender and I don't cave in for sweets or things like that. My weakness is believe it or not- BEER! I know I know..empty calories and tons of carbs but i can't help it. Any suggestions?

The only way to look at it is it is only 7 days. My addiction was cans of lucozade I now drink fizzy water!!

BubblesNJ, I can think of a few strategies. Like Sally says, just go cold turkey. It's only 7 days. Or you could try to find a substitute, like a non-caffeine diet soda or fizzy water or something to drink instead. Or you could allow yourself a smaller amount of beer than normal. I don't want to guess what you drink normally, but if you allow yourself one beer in a timespace when you would normally have four, that's got to help.
There are no Diet Police. You don't get arrested if you "invent" your own version of CSD (or any other eating plan) that makes it possible for you to follow. The "strict" version of CSD says "No Diet Coke", but if you think you could swap beer for diet coke, then that's an improvement on how you were eating before. If you know its not realistic to go cold turkey, then don't try, you're just setting yourself up for failure and binging. But if you can make a change to your routine that is healthier than before, and is sustainable, then maybe you can achieve your goals.

Ive dont it before, a few years ago, and it worked for me but im looking to loose about 10 lbs in total.

I'd love to be diet buddies. I started this morning and just don't want to eat. Not that I'm not hungry, because I am, but I just don't want this soup.
I just put some frozen raspberries and a papaya in the blender and I'm eating that as a kind of frozen smoothie but I'm working up to eating the soup. It does not appeal to me.

I am leaving for Wales at the end of May and I have to get some weight off also. My family is all over there and I don't want to hear their comments about my appearance. I started this morning so will keep you posted about how its going.

I started today as well, this is my third week.
First week went very good. Lost 8 lb.
Second week not so good. Lost 4 lb gained 2 back.
I am hoping this week will be better, hopefully i will lose 8 lb and than i will have 10
more to go.
