Hello All
I just joined today and I am loving this site. I did the CSD many years ago but just could not stomach the soup EVER again.
Well today after reading all the wonderful results I am ready to give it another try. I am excited and wish I could start sooner but I'm going to a wedding Saturday and I don't want to risk it.
Are there any suggestions you could share with me to help me out. Day 1 and 2 look like the hardest days but I plan to stick with the Negative Calories Fruits and Veggie.
I am currently 161 pounds and my goal weight is 130.
Thanks in Advance!

Hi.
I started the diet on Sunday as well. I'm on day 2 and I've already lost 2 pounds...which I'm really happy about. I noticed that yesterday I got a little light headed so I made sure today that I took a multi vitamin which I believe has helped...as I'm not feeling light headed today...
I too would love any suggestions for making it through because I notice that it gets tough sometimes. I'm especially looking for tips on making the food interesting without violating the general rules of the diet. I noticed someone on another strand mentioned stir-frying the veggies--I tried that for lunch today and that worked well. I also took the stir-fried veggies and wrapped them in a leaf of lettuce---my own version of a lettuce wrap...that worked well...it certainly added some variety/texture.
Great advice Kailia618 and good luck to both of you. Please keep us posted on your progress...

I've found that I am able to curb my cravings for sweats by drinking tea with a sugar substitute like Splenda or Equal... I'm assuming a sugar substitute is allowed....is that true? I'm new to this as well... Also, Cindy25, I hope to loose around 30-35 pounds as well....I'm taking it a week at a time....

The first day is the easiest for me acutally. There are soo many fruits to choose from and its a nice balance between the salty soup and the sweet fruits.
Day 2 is the hardest, to me at least, because it's basically all salty, and I tend to crave something sweet that day :p But don't worry you can get through it!
I suggest changing the flavor of the soup frequently, because you get pretty sick of it after awhile! I think the best way to change it is switch from spicy to non-spicy. It's the biggest difference in flavor for me
Check out the recipe section of the forum! it's reallyy helpful! Also, you can search on the web for sites like allrecipes.com where you can choose the ingredients you want and don't want and then search for a recipe!
I want to lose about 30 lbs as well!
good luck to you!! And when in times of despair, just come back to the discussion forum to take your mind off of whatever you're craving!

Thanks for the replies!
Day 1 was very easy for me as well. Day 2 was a challenge but I made it thru with 1 pitfall (coffee with cream and sugar!). I had a headach ater drinking it and I don't think I will make the same mistake again.
I believe 2morrow will be a better day. I have not had any of the soup yet. I just can't get myself to eat it! I can't even stomach the smell of it. I rather just eat the cabbage and have tomatoes on the side.
Help with the soup is much needed!

It is very likely down to caffeine withdrawal I used to get super bad headaches on the first few days every time I did this diet.
Hope this helps to explain!
Good luck.

If you do the diet again to stop the headaches don't drink tea or coffee for a few days beforehand (or at least cut down to one or two cups daily if you can't wake up without a cuppa - like me!) I find drinking lots of water helps too, with a squeeze of fresh lemon or buy the flavoured bottles with no added sugar, if like me you find water a bit boring.

For day 2 I try to make a list of vegetables I really enjoy and consider a luxury:
Asparagus spears grilled and served with a squeeze of lemon juice and plenty of black pepper
Blackened sweet red and yellow peppers
Fat slices of aubergine sprayed with olive oil flavoured cooking spray and grilled
Mushrooms sprinkled with salt to release the juices and fried with cooking spray
Exotic mushrooms like oyster mushrooms, ceps, shiitake etc.
Cherry tomatoes eaten out of a bowl like sweeties, bursting in your mouth
Home-made salsa made from skinned and chopped tomatoes, chopped sweet peppers, finely chopped red onion, finely chopped chilli peppers salt and pepper and coriander (cilantro), used as a dip for crudites of celery, slices of sweet pepper, carrot sticks, sugar snap peas, baby sweetcorn (this is an old diet trick of mine for hunger pangs - it's really tasty, mega low calorie like 60cals max, and you can eat it whilst watching TV or movies, or take it to parties so you have something to eat that isn't really bad, or in the evening when you're tempted to snack)
What's everyone else's favourite luxury veggies?

I have to say that this discussion board is really helping with keeping me focused and motivated. Anyone who has any doubts--keep checking the discussion board to stay motivated. It is tough but it is worth it. My clothes are already fitting better!
I hope everyone else is doing well with working towards their weight goals. If I can do it--you can!
A big thank you to everyone!!!

My favorite luxury vegetables are grilled Portabella Mushrooms...
Paragon the salsa you described sounds fabulous! I'm going to try making some today!
