Yes a couple people have.  Whittney just did last night and personally I will next time because they are so much better for you and taste luxurious!

Re: day 2- sweet potato

asoupfan - I'll be starting Monday too. It's a bit soon for me to be be restarting, but my inlaws will be visiting when I should do a 2nd round and I don't want to put a damper on their visit - "sorry, not for me, I'm on diet" (everyone rolls eyes)

Want to buddy up?

I've been experimenting with really spicing the soup up - lime pickle, ginger, chilli.
I've also found it helpful to seperate ingredients out. eg the soup has mushrooms and onions in right? I sautee some onions and mushrooms in a pan - just a drop of oil to stop sticking. Have that as a side dish with the soup. Same ingredients, but makes the soup seem like a 2 course meal!

regards

Stew

StewartP-I just had to comment on the "eye roll" thing...that is so funny because that is exactly how it happens.  Especially when you finally get real close to your goal, so you don't look like you really need to diet.  Some people just don't understand...anyways, thanks for the laugh!!!

Everyone's got their bag. Someone posted a photo of themselves at a wedding (yellow drink - if you read this I'm sorry I can't remember your name) I looked at her and thought "wow! what a babe! doesn't need to lose weight at all" People say the same to me, but I can't button up my trousers. When I had a haircut recently and sat staring at myself in the mirror I saw this middled aged pudgy man staring back. (No, that's me I'm talking about) I'm 20 lbs heaver than I was 10 years ago and I don't like it.

It's something I've noticed on this forum, low on judgement, big on support. I think we all understand how we see ourselves.

Re: day 2- sweet potato

Def lets buddy up.  Im on the sight during the diet....it really helps me get through it.

I completed this diet two weeks ago.  Kinda soon as well but my boyfriend is going to be out of town next Monday and I figured it was the best time for me to go back on it again.

I made my soup spicey last time and it was the only way I could get through the week.

I used Pam to saute the veggies.  Chopped up the green onion, peppers, mushrooms and cabbage rather large.  Left out the celery. Used  canned tomatoes and added a 1/2 cap of red pepper flakes at the beginning of the process,  one small can of v-8, two bouillon chicken stock cubes, pepper and two extra cups of water.  My soup turned out to be a yummy spicey minestrone minus the noodles.  I really did not mind the soup.  There were days where it bothered me but at least it had substance.

This time around Im going to eat a sweet potato smiley-smile

Hey there!
Sorry to butt in but  if you like your soup spicey,  I found "Chipotle" flavored bouillon cubes by KNORR and I use one of those in mine along with a beef bouillon, or you could use 2 if you're daring!   Adds a nice zip.

that would be charito smiley-smile shes pretty aint she? lol

I had the sweet potato instead of the baked potato. I would go for the yellow one over the red though. The red both times i had it was too stringy smiley-smile.

I ROASTED my potato with a bunch of peppers, mushrooms and zuccini and it was pretty darn tastey!
