Just made my first pot tonight to start the diet tomorrow (Sunday). I'm going to freeze half of the batch to have for later on in the week so it tastes a little fresher down the road.
I'm on a limited budget so I can't exactly afford the "extras" but will be eating my veggies and fruits when I can. I'm going to hate not having my morning coffe though! That will be very difficult.
I don't know what I weigh right now, but when I can get back in my skinny jeans I'll know that I have lost a little bit! LOL!
Hang in there! WE CAN DO THIS! It's only 7 days!

Hey Cindy.. good luck.. it is hard cutting things off that you have on a regular basis but like you said, it is only seven days!
I Also froze half my batch because like you I do not have the cash for extras either... that and I wanted it to stay fresher as well. Well good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes!

I am on day 3. If you didn't guess from my name, I am tired of cabbage. I own a pizza shop though and seeing food every day kind of takes the edge off, even if I am not eating any.
I did break down and have a piece of cake tonight though. My wife made it for Father's Day, so I couldn't really turn it down, and I really didn't want to either. I took my dog for a very long walk today, so I think I can afford the 200 or so calories.
I can't wait to eat a steak tomorrow.

Hi 1978, I'm on day 1 also. Its going ok right now, but its still early. I'm drinking lots of water. I didn't have time to make my spinach (which is a replacement for the soup), but I brought lots of fruits. When I go home I'll make my spinach

im on day one too! i feel quite good even though my soup didn't taste as nice as i thought it would have (added too much pepper) how is everyone holding up?

My advice to you and everyone else is to think about the end results and you will get motivated, or what I do is put a picture of my idle body shape on the fridge and that keeps me going.

im on day one sort of started yesterday but folded when my husband made icecream sundaes for himself and the children so am doing day one again
need to loose a little weight for a party in 2 weeks
have done the diet before around a year ago suppose its that time of year again
when you start to feel self concious
weighted my self yesterday am 11 stone 6 would like to get down a dress size
and tone up my tummy keep telling my self will exersize this time
well anyway would appreciate any encouragement as tend to fold quite quickly

Starting Day 1 right now! I just had some honeydew melon and will make myself some green tea - I am used to having a latte every morning, so I will be drinking a lot of tea! I have a watermelon and some apricots for today...not much else in the house. Except pie and ice cream and brownie mix - but I'm not thinking about those! It's only 7 days, right? Here we go!

Cyndy: Can you drink your coffee black? I'm still drinking black coffee on the diet.
Everyone: I'm starting Day 1 today, also. Have some frozen soup from last time which I'll start on, and then I'm going to use spinach instead of cabbage when I make a new batch.
Have 10 days before I go on vacation. Would like to lose 15 pounds, but I know there's no way I'll lose that in 10 days.

Today is day 1 for me, pretty good so far. A recommended I take some Spirulina while doing this, hopefully is help. Spirulina has protein in it and it helps even out your blood sugar. I just ate the soup for the first time, its actually better than I thought it would be!!

Thanks I'll take a look. I'm on day 3 and feeling not too bad today...boy that baked potato was awesome last night! do you know if unsweetened dried fruit is ok?

I had trouble on day 2 as well with the head...but day 3 (today) I feel much better, actually feel lighter and not so puffy today!...HANG IN THERE...drink lot's and lots of water it will help.
