Hey everyone! I've heard great things about this diet and am wanting to try it, but have been doing the Atkins diet for about 2 months now and am wondering if this diet will have the same effect on me as it does with everyone one else. I've only lost about 1-2 pounds with Atkins and am very frustrated with the lack of weight loss. Since the cabbage soup diet involves a bit of carbs, I'm afraid re-introducing them into my everyday diet will cause little weight loss or even weight gain (yikes) for me. If anyone has had a similar situation or has some answers for me I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Honestly.. I had no idea what the CSD would do for me as far as weight loss.. but what else am I going to do? Sit around and wait for the pound to go on vacation? I did the prism for 7 weeks and lost 18 lbs and have kept it off.. but then I stopped losing and now Im desperate. Even if you dont lose much weight.. atleast your stomach will shrink and you will end up eating less unless you binge soon after.

I did Atkins for a month and gained 2 pounds!! i was frantic! I did this for a week and lost 7 pounds so I am SOLD! Everyone is different, but I think you'll be pleased with your results. Good Luck!

I met someone the other day who knew a guy who died doing atkins because it takes away almost all carbs and you need some to live. not only the good but you need some bad ones too! So now I will never do atkins. The CSD works best for me and I modify it to fit my needs. So I recomend this diet. so far in two months I have lost 17 pounds. Just stick with it Im sure you will have better success than me. I cheated for two weeks straight and on most weekends so if i can lose 17 pounds imagine what you could lose! Hope this helps.

twilight: in the end i ended up gaining more than i had weighed before doing atkins! and i honestly only cheated once (after a straight month of the induction phase which supposedly takes off "at least 7-8 pounds in the first week"...right. i went just about insane while doing it, writing down every last carb i put into my mouth!

Every Body is different, Lindsay, but I agree that I'm sure you'll see results with this diet. Sometimes just mixing it up works for me. I have to "fool" my metabolism all the time. I can't stick with any one diet for more than 2 weeks, my body just becomes so used to it and I no longer benefit from it, atleast with losing weight. If you decide to try it, best of luck with it. Hi Lindsay-I am new too-you can see my stats under*ask the ladies a question".I have lost more in the 5 days I'm doing csd than Atkins-I do South Beach, my body is better & stronger & more energized with low carb. I eat tons of protein, my carbs come from fruit, veggies,& whole wheat/flax wraps. I also am a cheese addict. I will go on SB as soon as I finish day 7. I find this tough, but amazing results..good luck & thanks to all you ladies-your very encouraging!

I did the low carb lifestyle, Atkins, and lost around 135 so I no the task, I also lived this life-style for over 3 years, I did in the end become somewhat ill, Im assuming it was from the over-use of the diet, So this is where I came, to this diet, it was very difficult to get off not watching carbs, and this diet allows so much of it within the fruits and veggies, I have learned a valueable lesson dieting all these years, and that is learning to eat is the answer, eating healthy is the main goal, this is entirely a new step for me to allow good carbs, and thats why I wanted to do this diet, I never really worried about gaining weight because if you count up the calories on this diet, its not much and that alone may not be healthy for us in the end either, But we need to find a balance, one we can live with, lose on when needed, but never get to far from reality of what makes us healthy along the way.
I wish you the best of luck if you do this, I lost alot, but I have to give this a break, because this to makes me sick, headaches, dizzy, so I'm going to the 3dd, and pick up a few more leasson, lol.....

Hey all!! I have done this diet beofre and lost a good amount of weight well enough for me to make me happy! I lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks!! And i kept it off well untill now!! I always found thCSD teh best deit for kick startin ur body intolosing weight!! Well Untill now! mariea i hear ur cry!! this sis my seocnd week on CSB and i have gained so i totaly hear wat ur sayin! but to anyone else give it a go!! The fruit n vegs are great for u!! N it does clear out ur system either way!
