alternate 7 day cabbage soup diet

Hi every one,I am from Australia, I am 37. just started the CSD for the first time yesterday, I actually go to weight watchers but over the holidays kinda lost the plot a little and gained a couple of kilo's (i think thats around 4 pound) i was finding it hard to get back on track, my weigh in is tonight, Anyway the reason i am posting this is to say i found in an Australian magazine a 7 day cabbage soup diet, from a new book called "the ultimate cabbage soup diet" by Madeline Cooper.

It is basically the same concept as the original:

Day one is unlimited fruit(no bananas)
2 serves of the soup
1 cup skim milk OR 1 cup of low fat natural yoghurt (THIS IS ON ALL 7 DAYS LIST, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DAY 4))
plain tea or coffee with artificial sweetner (if desired)(THIS IS ON ALL 7 DAYS LIST)
1 tbs low fat salad dressing(no idea why that is???)(THIS IS ON ALL 7 DAYS LIST)

day 2 is unlimited vegetables
unlimited soup
1 large baked potato
1 cup skim milk OR yoghurt(EVERY DAY)
coffee/tea(again this is on every day)
1 tbs low far salad dressing(again this is on every day)

day 3 is the soup, unlmited fruit and veg(no potato)

day 4 is the soup unlimited
3-6 banana
8 cups of skim milk OR 1 cup of low fat yoghurt + 7 cups of skim milk.

day 5 is the soup + include up to 6 tomato's
unlimited fish
unlimited skinless chicken

day 6 soup, unlimite vegies including tomato's
unlimited fish
unlimited skinless chicken

day 7 does not have rice but is just day 3 repeated.

Also the cabbage soup recipe include 110 grams of brown rice added to the soup for energy.

I am on day 2 i think this will be the hardest for me, I will keep you posted!!!

P.S Can anyone tell me how much daily exercise is safe to do while on this diet???

I love that recipe, similar but seems a little more palatable!  I will try it the next go around and save the recipe!

Bonnie - About your exercise question, not sure.  I believe it really depends on each individual's energy level, prior fitness level, etc.

I had high hopes of exercising on the treadmill day 1 and day 2, but felt extremely weak since mother nature visited me on my first day, I am borderline anemic and also hypoglycemic!. so decided not to overdue it if I do decide to run the next few days.  I am playing it by ear to see.

I think you should see how you feel, take it slow but do not overdo it.  If you feel weak or lightheaded while exercising it would be best to stop.  That is what my trainer had told me.  You would have to take a break, drink water, eat an apple before resuming the exercise, if you choose to resume.
