Believe it or not, I got the basis for this salad from mcdonalds!
The dressing Mcdonald's asian chicken salad uses is wonderful - Newman's own sesame ginger. it's low fat, with 15 calories per tablespoon (1 tablespoon is usually enough for me!)
The salad:
- Spinach and Baby greens
- thinly sliced carrots
- mandarin orange slices (fresh clementines work wonderfully as well)
- edamame - soy beans (a bit of a cheat, but not too bad in moderation)
- raisins/dried cranberries
- grape halves (optional)
I cheat a little as well by sometimes adding a few pine nuts. It's a delicious salad, taken straight from mcdonalds, and great for you on day 3!
