Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

WOW Paula Congrats!

I will be starting for the third week tomorrow.  I usually also take 3-4 days off in between.  I have lost 20 so far in the 2 weeks that I did it.  Feels great!  Well on my way to my final goal.

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

How do you do a seven day diet with weekends off?  Which days do you alter the diet?  I am getting a sore throat and going into coughing spells.  Is that common?  Is my body detoxing?

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

That is so awesome. I started around the same time as you too a couple of weeks ago. I lost 7 pounds in 7 days. I took a week off and then started another week back on the diet but I only made it to day 3. I baked a batch of cookies for my daughter's lunch for school that I should not have. I am so disappointed with myself. I weigh 170 pounds and I am only 5"1 and I would like to get down to 125. If you don't mind saying, what was your starting weight when you started the CSD?

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

Are you making your own sauce or using it from a jar?  I have found a nice 50 calories per serving sauce that I have used over spaghetti squash.  I would compare labels if using jarred.

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

Congrats Paula, that is so good, just one question, if you were doing it weekends off then were you doing days 1 t o5 then 2 days off?  i have found as i am now at the end of my second time round, as I eat the meat and veges and rice I seem to pick up weight, at least 2 lbs
Again well done!

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

I've been doing this diet on and off since the start of the new year. I have adapted it out of boredom in several ways and that works for me to keep on it. For instance I substitute spinach for cabbage as for me the soup is so much tastier. I jumble the days up according to how I am feeling and I never do day 7 as I hate that day. I sometimes have a tuna [not in oil] day instead of a meat day cos I love tuna. I have a day of actimol yoghurt instead of the milk and banana day. This all makes it easier not to go off the diet and enables me to persevere. When I get down with it all I admit I have a day or two when yes I may have alcohol and bread and cheese but I soon feel guilty and get back on track. I believe that if you have only 7lbs to lose and are doing it as a one off you should stick to it rigidly as I did for the first week and it works but if you have more to lose and it is a long term diet you want be adaptable or you wont stick to it!
Hope this helps!

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

29 lbs. is fantastic! I am on day 5 & I am down 7.6 lbs -thrilled!!!  I, too, am wondering how you do the diet by taking weekends off.  What days do you follow during the week?  In other words, how do you make a 7 day diet a 4-5 day diet?  I'd love to know especially seeing how successful you have been!  Keep up the good work!

Re: 4 weeks 29 pounds

That's awesome! Do you still have a lot of weight to lose? 29 pounds is really cool smiley-smile. Like everyone else, I want to know how many days you take off in between, do you workout and what do you eat in between? Graet job!
