So as you all know a bunch of us are going to do the three day diet starting tomorrow May 14!! Im going to list some links below for the diets and its up to you to choose which one you will be doing. Choose what will fit your lifestyle the best!

#1

#2

Now this next one is almost nothing like the 3dd most of us are doing, but it may be better for those who have any type of medical illness such as hypoglycemia or diebetes.

Click me

I know its a day early, but I figured might as well get this out there so other people can join as well!

Can I get a tally of everyone who is doing the 3dd with us. so far I have:
myself a.k.a. Whittnie aka Brittany
Twilight a.k.a. Nancy
salamanda a.k.a. Sally

Let me know also tomorrow your starting weights. I will keep track of it on a little chart! Not as high tec as charitos but Ill do my best!

twilight - 2007-05-13 14:36:56

Hey Pard...I will do 3DD #1!
Do we really have to give our weights?  I'm afraid to!  It is too high to record and i's embarrssing!  any my scale is whack!  and the dog ate my homework!  Waaaahhh!

come on girlfriend, I will be honest as to how much if ANY I lost, but I hate having to record my weight, my measurements and all that stuff all the time, it makes me cringe to know, let alone for everyone else to know too!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-13 14:39:19

Totally fine lets just record pounds lost! I weigh 227 so I would be the one cringing at my scale and measurements! LOL. I embrace it right now because I know that it is not going to be like that for much longer. Anywo hopping in the shower talk to you later!

twilight - 2007-05-13 15:01:17

Thank you Pardner, that will make it much easier for me to eat beets and smile!

The sites you 'transported' are great, expecially the first one since the second one I got the red x's instead of pictures.  (See how stupi I am regarding computer?  don't know how to eleviate that)

So which are you going to do?  and will you do the reg. vanilla ice cream?  not sure if it would be cool to substitute frozen yogurt for it or not, but would love to.  don't really understnd the ice cream thing since they say its a drastically reduced calorie intake tht makes it work!

I don't know what to do!  We have got to wake up Sally for advice!

WAKE UP SALLY!!   HOW MANY HOURS OF SLEEP DO YOU BRITS NEED ANYWAY?
"Wakey, Wakey"!!  ha ha ha ha    :D

twilight - 2007-05-13 16:23:54

Hey Brit Whit!  here is another link, it is exactly like your link 1 but from a diferent source.  of coarse I don't now wha to do to get it be accessable like you adn omgirlie did but here it is...

http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/the-3-day-diet

So now I bought a can of beets and these 2 diets say carrots!  I'm sure the beets are fine, don't ou think?  I'd rather have carrots but I though beet one night and carrots the other jut to 'mix it up' a bit!  Still struggling with the ice cream thing.. what are you gonna do?  ice cream., full fat or lighte or yogurt, ff or full, frozen or soft?   I hate to even have the stuff in the house.  I'm thinking Dairy Queen or Mcdonalds (yuck) baby size cone throw the cone away?  I don't know, I need input guys!  do you think there is something chemical about the reg. ice cream?  I would so much rather have the ff type or ff frozen yogurt!

salamanda - 2007-05-13 18:57:50

lol! You two make me laugh I have a bad hangover and it is 1:30 in the morning my hubby is such a bad influence. I crashed at about now I am wide awake with a thumping headache! Hey I was OK with food yesterday but overdid the alcohol lol!

Great links girls I'm going for 1 mind you 2 was tempting because of the 2 tablespoons of peanut butter which I love!!!

I wouldn't get to hung up on the icecream yoghurt thing have what you want but not too much lol! Actually it is such a small amount lol! Have you ever weighed 1 oz of cheese? Well I'm telling you it's very small!!!! . It's like the banana thing I mean half a banana! What do you do with the other half? I just bought very small bananas and had 1.

I will weigh in the morning I feel very fat at a the moment like I have put on weight during my time off so I am not looking forward to weighing!

twilight - 2007-05-13 19:33:28

OMG!  I feel so fat too! and feel so fat too!  We are terribl3, I have had a bad hangover all day too!  Can youimagine if we all lived in the same town?  Oh!  Many, way too many hangovers we would have!  OUCH!!

salamanda - 2007-05-13 19:46:30

Pain killers are kicking in and hubby has got up and is on his computer now he is as bad as me but he goes into weather chat rooms how sad is that! He wants to go to the US with me to chase tornados down tornado alley for a holiday! Give me Florida any day lol!

Twilight you asked me somewhere for help with this but I can't remember what thread so I'll bung it on here!

To post pictures

I have my own pictures and Gifs on www.photobucket.com   After you upload your pictures they give you an IMG code so you can use that code to paste it here. Hope it helps.

Then search for pictures or smilies that you want and save them to your computer.

Then upload them to photobucket

then copy the IMG code then paste on here phew!!!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-13 20:55:11

you know they actually have a 1oz portion that they sell at the store! I bought that one! As for the ice cream I am going to go with fat free frozen yogurt! It is my favorite and I may switch it up and get the 99% fat free and switch the flavors! (i know its not allowed). Also for the hotdogs I had such a hard time buying the full fat hotdogs so I picked up fat free turkey dogs! I hope thats ok. I also picked up lowfat cottage cheese. For the three ounce portion of meat i bought a 3 oz (exactly) portion of red snapper! I also am going to tweak the diet to fit me. The tuna i am going to make tuna salad with mustard salt pepper relish (just the juice to add flavor) and some other spices. I am doing #1 too!!!

twilight - 2007-05-13 21:48:33

Well I'm on for tomorrow and I STILL have a hangover so I will be happy not to be able to drink again!
I haven't gotten the grapefruit yet, I wish they were ripe on the tree now, I hate to have to actually pay for something that we normally have an abundance of right out the door!
1/2 grapefruit is insane, back in the olden days that's how people ate them, yo know cut them in half and section it out...now I just peel the whole thing and eat it like an orange! I won't know what to do with the other half!  Maybe I'll buy a very small one and eat the entire thing!
same with bananas, qwe get tiny 4 inch ones so i will just eat a whole one.  I wish the peanut butter was on the same breakjfast as the banana...yum  p.b. and banana just like Elvis!  Thank you, thank you very much!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-13 22:02:25

I didnt even buy the grapefruit yet either! I hate them yucky, i wonder if i could use a different citrus fruit???? I totally forgot about it :(

I love peanut utter and banana sandwiches! one of my favorites I also love peanut butter and banana smoothies! YUM YUM!!

twilight - 2007-05-13 22:04:05

I know, it will be hard to stop at only 1 tablespoon!

omgirlie - 2007-05-13 23:13:05

I'm going to do #1....I'm ready!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-13 23:44:35

Alright so I so far have a tally of

anyone else on for the three day diet starting tomorrow???

salamanda - 2007-05-14 02:19:48

Monday morning here and my weight is 132lbs this morning. I haven't eaten yet!
Here we go girls!

sinead - 2007-05-14 03:10:44

Morning ladies, Am ready to start the 3dd, weighing in at 148 pounds - after a very lazy weekend. I spent MOST of yesterday afternoon/evening on the computer - I cannot believe how much of my day is spent checking in with you lot!! I'm getting nothing done!! And my husband now believes this is what I do all day when he is at work - I'm trying to convince him I am VERY busy and totally run off my feet - which I am when I peel myself away from the computer and run around like a headless chicken trying to catch up with the cleaning!! All this sitting around typing is not good for the butt!!- It doesnt burn calories!!!- maybe I could move the computer to the treadmill!!:bounce:

Anyway enough waffle, I have an exercise DVD waiting for me and a FILTHY house to clean!! Just on my third cup of hot water and lemon - to cleanse my system. I am suffering from a food hangover!!! Don't know what happened me yesterday but I grazed all evening on a huge loaf of fresh baked crusty bread, pate and oak smoked cheese. It wasn't the pate nor the cheese that has done the damage, I am suffering from carb and wheat overload!!:( I have come to realise that white bread is my poison and believe me I have a headache the same as if I had downed a bottle of red on an empty stomach!! Hence the hot water! However I am feeling positive and looking forward to my ice-cream - don't know how I am going to survive without cream in my coffee though!!

Good luck everyone, talk to you all later

Sinead

salamanda - 2007-05-14 05:05:44

Ok I had my breckie of grapefruit, peanut butter on toast and I licked the spoon, knife and plate lol! at 11:30am and soon I'm off to work for the afternoon so I will have my lunch at about 4:30 and then my dinner at 7. I'm not normally a breakfast person.

Sinead your post made me laugh I am just the same when dieting and on here, my house is a pigsty! I blame it on the fact I have to keep out of the kitchen where temptation lies and that is always the messiest place due to my son training to be a chef [I wish they'd train him to clear up too!] and my hubby just being messy lol! Why is it men use twice the amount of saucepans and mess up every square inch of the work surfaces than us women that's what I want to know? I love your idea of moving tha computer to the treadmill! I'm suffering from a bad hangover and am thinking that I won't wear my hearing aids today so I don't hear how noisy the classroom is lol!
You're up early Brittany!!!!!!
Good luck everyone

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 05:20:19

Im not up early Im up late!! lol...Im heading off to bed right now, but have a wonderful day at work dont fret about yesterdays food business. Today is a brand new day!

Anyways im going to hit the hay! I will talk to you all in approx.6-8 hours hopefully if i can wake myself up!

twilight - 2007-05-14 08:21:16

WHAT A WILD AND CRAZY GROUP WE ARE!!  It's like we ALL went a bit crazy yesterday with the food and drink because we KNEW we'd be starting this 3DD torture today so one last fling!   I feel I have undone everything I did on th CSD!  and I am drinking my coffee w/o skim milk too nd YUCKO!  I have to get dessed and go to the store for grapefruit and ice cream and green beans now!

Last night I had a mango and 2 small ripe bananas left over from the CSD and what did I do with them?   I put them in the blender with lime juice, Triple Sec and Tequila and made a frozen tropical MARGARITA!!  and that was AFTER several vodka drinks!!  I am a baaaaaad girl!  So today will be tough, but we'll get through it together! I think we all had kind of a wild weekend!!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 10:05:02

morning!

I just finished my grapefruit, toast, pB and coffee! it was quite delish! I really wasn't two bad on my day off.

For mom's day we went to brunch and I had a NF cappucino on the way there. At the restaurant I had egg whites scrambled with marscapone cheese, lobster and chives. with 1 slice of toast with a smidge of butter, three forkfuls of hash browns, literally 1 bite of sausage and 1 bite of bacon, a bite of the french toast, and a silver dollar pancake. I passed on the dessert! but I did have 2.5 glasses of wine.

I skipped lunch cause I was full. Went to Chuck E. Cheese for my son's birthday where I had a half of a slice of pizze but a full slice of the crust.

When I got home I had a little bit of chicken breast with hummus. I wanted pita but it was old.

Then for dessert I had two bites of my son's birthday cake, and a medium NF frozen yogurt. Late night I started freaking out and wanted to raid the fridge so I had .5 a serving of baked lays and a 1/3 of a piece of string cheese.

Sheesh now that I type it all out it was a lot :(

I didn't weight myself today and I'm not untill Thursday morning. Yesterday when I weighed myself I was down 5 pounds from the CSD!

Woo hoo! Go us with our 3 day!

salamanda - 2007-05-14 10:32:10

Flipping heck I am way behind today lol! 5 pm and I'm just eating lunch!!! This tuna is so dry it is hard to get down! I still haven't had my gratefruit from breakfast either as I only got one just now after work! Actually I don't know how I'm going to get in all the food today but I'm sure I'll manage! I couldn't get my weight watchers tubs so I bought 'Skinny Cow' icecream instead what a name for an icecream lol!

angellicdelight - 2007-05-14 10:52:02

Hi guys!

It's so great to hear you are all sooo up for the 3dd!! You have my full support & I love reading your posts!! I'm going to be way behind you as I'm not starting til Thursday, but will be great to hear how you all get on with it before I take the plunge - you are the guinnea pigs!!!!! All the tips & advice will be really helpful & any little tweaks you do to the diet will be great to hear too!!

Sinead - you made me laugh too about spending so much time on the computer .... me too, it's so hard to tear myself away from it sometimes!! The treadmill thing sounds like a fab idea!!!! I did actually hear from someone once that fidgeting burns off loads of calories ...!!! I always used to be a constant fidgeter, but not so much now, maybe that's why I gained wait (yeah Kerry, blame it on the lack of movement & not the masses of cakes biscuits bread & icecream I've been devouring lately!!) Anyway, I think we should all just 'fidget' when we're on the computer - it might work, so keep tapping those feet & wiggling those legs whilst typing girls!!

Anyway, I wish you all the luck with it & look forward to hearing from you all!

Speak soon!

Kerry x

(ps - I just read this message back & I hope that everyone knows what fidgeting is ... you know how sometimes the UK & US have different words for different things, it just made me giggle, because if you don't know the word fidgeting, my message could sound quite rude!!! Hahaha!! That just really made me giggle!!!!)

salamanda - 2007-05-14 11:10:08

Kerry how's your daughter doing? The science papers were awful today the hardest they have ever been especially paper one!!! At least science is finished now!
Sally

twilight - 2007-05-14 11:36:32

I just had my grapefruit and toast w/PB.  I was fine until I ate that and now I'm so hungry!   Also my coffee was yucky without skim milk.

I went to 2 supermarkets and couldn't find fresh green beans so I bougth frozen, hope that's okay.  Last week they were all around, I know becasue I bought a pound of fresh green beans and ate them all on CSD "Veggie day"!

Feel kind of lousy today, a bit hungover from the past 2 days, both drink and food hangovers.  You know, just that tired feeling, I feel so bad for eating and drinking too much after working so hard the previous 7 days!  Here we go again...being hard on ourselves!  I always tell other people not to feel that way and here I am,  I should listen to my own advice and just GET OVER IT!

I bought the regular ice cream not the light because most of the 3 day diets specified that.  Now after reading Sally's post I wish I had gone the low fat route!  Oh well, notice how much more expensive the low fat stuff is?

I'm not going to weigh myself until Thurs. either.  I hope I can make it through this 3DD, it's a hard one, I think the CSD is muc easier for me at least. I miss the Soup, can you believe it?

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 11:42:14

twilight,

don't worry about getting the regular vs. LF. when I did it last time I lost the weight eating full fat everything! full fat hot dogs, ben and jerry's ice cream, full fat cottage cheese and real peanut butter. If I'm going to torture myself for 3 freaking days I better at least get some pleasure out of it!

twilight - 2007-05-14 11:46:04

I agree, it's just that guilt factor, not used to eating the full fat anything, but all the diets really stress that and you have lost more weight on this than anyone, so I will follow your lead!  Thanks!

OMG how hard it would be to have kids with birthdays and temptations of pizza and all the stuff kids like.   We get in the habit of "licking the spoon" or just taking a little bite here and there when the food is lurking!

Under the circumstances I think you did great!  For me one little slice of pizza would have turned into MANY pieces!

You did good, way better than me!  and I feel like **** today because of it!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 11:51:03

it's going okay. I enjoyed my grapefruit which is surprising because I've never liked grapefruit before. it was the sweetest ruby red but all I could think about was how good it would be fresh squeezed with some vodka in it ;-)

the toast with PB and coffee wasn't bad either because it was full fat Jif so I enjoyed it!

I'm switching dinner to lunch and lunch to dinner so I'm super excited! One of the girls at work is doing it with me so it should help. there is a gelson's by where I work so we are getting 3 oz of there roast beef trip tip thingie from the wolfgang puck section of the service deli which should be super good!

dinner will be hard since it's the tuna but I'm thining I'll squeeze lemon juice or vinegar and salt and pepper it so that should help.

after reading everything I ate yesterday I feel like a pig and am scared of how much I gained :( I feel thinner still so that's good but still...

oh and frozen green beans are fine, last time I used canned!

twilight - 2007-05-14 12:01:56

I read that you can switch cottage cheese for the tuna!  If you don't like the tuna why nt do that?
Good Idean about switching lunch and dinner, is that okay to do?  They are so particular about it being a 'chemical' thing, but you know what I think...it's just way less calories a day that we are used to.  Under 1000!

I bought a ruby red too and it was so good!  I ate half of it and felt so sorry for the other little half in the fridge so I ate that too, I hope it doesn't screw it up but I hated to waste it!

We always have the reg. peanut butter too, So it was Skippy Crunchy on the toast for me!  PB is such a treat!

Well we're on our way!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 12:03:37

okay now I just updated my ticker and I'm super bummed! somehow I thought when I started the CSD I was 125.5 and so that meant I lost 5 pounds. well I just updated my ticker and hello? I only lost 4 because my starting weight was 124.5. ARRRRGH I know it's not that big of a difference but damn!

okay sorry to whine, esp. since I cheated...this is where the blog feature on the forum would come in handy ;-)

angellicdelight - 2007-05-14 12:12:42

Hi Sally!
Thanks for asking! My daughter said the tests went ok - she had managed to remember some of the revision, so that's good!!
Just revising English now, so must dash, but thanks for asking - hope your 3dd has gone well for you  & of course everyone else taking part - stay strong!!

Kerry x

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 12:24:42

I don't know if switching it is okay or not but I figured it would be okay. I'm much more tempted at work then I am at home and to be honest, I was sooooo stuffed at night last time so I thought it'd be better to be stuffed during the day. more time to burn it off right?

I don't mind the 1/2 cup tuna, the whole cup tuna is what gets me! I know they say the subs are okay but I get worried. and there are so many variations of this diet I just don't know which one is "right". It's just a little change here or there ya know? 5 saltines vs. 8 saltines. 1 tbs vs 2 tbs. beets vs. green beans, 1/2 a melon vs. 1 cup of melon...so which is it!!!! and I truly wonder if it's chemical or not! some of the sites say it's not and some say it is!

I'm bored at work so I'm going to go add up the cals and fat of the whole diet :)

and yum for chunky PB! go you!

36toGoal - 2007-05-14 12:37:15

I will be starting the 3 day diet again tomorrow, so I'll check in with you guys too.  Afraid to weigh myself after my big binge weekend, almost dreading tomorrow morning...but i told myself i would not feel guilty so I'm going to work on that.  Trading dinner for lunch sounds awesome!  I was always too full to eat all of that food for dinner.  Sounds like a good experiment.

LOL...Sinead that is so funny and so true about the house work!  My husband will call on his lunch hour and ask how I am and what I am doing and I will run to the sink and start loading the dishwasher and tell him I have been cleaning!!!  And then about a half hour before he gets home I will really get up and run around so that when he walks in the door the washer, the dryer, the dishwasher, and the vacuum will all be running at once!!!  I don't think I am fooling him, but he plays along anyways!

And since he will be home in about twenty minutes I am now behind on my schedule!  Hope everyone is having a good day with the 3dd!  Just wait till you have your ice cream tonight.....it feels like you are cheating!!

"See you" in the morning!

Mandy

salamanda - 2007-05-14 12:54:16

Wow that skinny cow vanilla icecream lolly was wonderful I recommend them mmmmmmm!
This isn't like dieting!!!
moooooooooooooooooooooooo!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 12:59:59

Okay now I'm starting to worry after looking everything up...

BREAKFAST Day 1

201 cals

9.1 fat

LUNCH Day 1

164 cals

1.7 fat

DINNER Day 1

843 cals

41.5 fat

WTF? That's with the 3oz of meat being tri tip and the ice cream being ben and jerry's with a whopping 480 cals and 32 fat.

Grand total= 1208 cals and 52.3 fat

BREAKFAST Day 2

207 cals
1.9 fat

LUNCH Day 2

294 cals
11.7 fat

DINNER

995 cals
56.7 fat

Grand total= 1496 cals and 70.3 fat

surely this can not be right! I'm going to sub out the full fat dogs and do reduced fat I think. cause how the hell can we lose on this? I mean I did it before and I did so I know it's possible but seriously HOW?

Breakfast Day 3

245 cals
11 fat

Lunch Day 3

143 cals
6.3 fat

Dinner Day 3

690 cals
19 fat

Grand total = 1078 cals 36.3 fat

so whadaya all think? should we switch to reduced fat ice cream for the 1 cup days and reduced fat hot dogs? that would take out a total of about 50 extra fat grams I think...I am so confused. I wish I never would have looked it up

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 13:25:41

ok so i am tweaking my diet a little.

omgirlie i ended up but nonfat peanut butter and it tastes just like the real stuff just a little smoother. I also bought the weight watchers ice cream (the individual cups) only 1 gram of fat and 160 cals. For the hotdogs i bought ballpark turkey ff franks. no fat and only 45 cals per hotdog. Because I cut my cals and fat grams down so much I am going to let myself make tuna salad which eat 1/2 cup serving will be 100 cals and 1 gram of fat! hope this helps!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 13:34:07

I think your way is the way to go. LF and FF. Surely it's not chemical it's got to be just the restricted carbs and cals right?

I am so upset by my ice cream and dogs! for today I'm going to have a 1/2 cup Ben and Jerry's and a 1/2 LF ice cream. The rest of the week I'm stick with a 1/2 cup of the LF ice cream. And for the hot dogs I'm going to do 1 nathan's original (I already bought the fckers and they are so good, I'll just give the rest to my son) and then 1 Hebrew Nation reduced fat dog.

the ice cream will go from 240 cals and 16 grams of fat to 100 cals and 3.5 fat. and the dogs will go from 40 fat and 600 cals to 30 fat and 420 cals. I guess I could just chuck the nathan's and it would go down from 600 cals and 40 fat to 240 cals and 20 fat....hmmmmnnn

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 13:37:36

And one more thing THE GRAPEFRUIT JUICE IS DISGUSTING!!!! Luckily I bought a fresh grapefruit too, that wasnt TOO bad :) lol. What a horrific experience with grapefruit juice!

salamanda - 2007-05-14 14:17:26

I found a site on the web and the calorie breakdown is as follows for the 3 day diet according to them: -
Day 1 656 cals
Day2 868 cals
Day 3 586 cals
the total for the three days is 2100 cals

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 14:31:36

I got all of my caloric info off of calorieking.com I wonder how they figured it out? I did each item idividually...maybe they did it with LF stuff?

twilight - 2007-05-14 14:41:33

Not to change the subject but...

Since a tin of tuna = 6 oz.
and we are allowed 1/2 C. which = 4oz.
I assumed I would have to remove 2 oz. from the can to get the 1/2 Cup.
WRONG!
I put my 1/2 C. measuring on my digital kitchen scale and after draining the water off the tuna I started putting it in the 1/2 cup and the entire can of tuna weighed 3 5/8 oz. and filled the 1/2 Cup!

So on day 1 we get the whole can of tuna, which is good news for those of us that love tuna but sorry to those of you that don't!  ( But yes, you can do cottage cheese instead!)

So now I feel that I shouldn't have bought the regular ice cream!  Waaaahhhh!:mad2:

Oh well, 1/2 C. isn't too much and I couldn't find the light actually, just the bars and stuff but not  little cups of actual light ice cream!

p.s.   In the past I have eaten the Skinny Cow brand I agree, it is excellent!  Especially the Ice Cream Sandwiches!  But beware...I could see eating more than one!!!

p.p.s.    I was planning on eating the 97% Fat Free Hebrew National brand Hot Dogs anyway!  They' re only 50 calories each and I have always eaten them anyway. (only 1 pt. on Weight Watchers!)

salamanda - 2007-05-14 15:21:46

I wish I had a weight watchers point book do you know if I can get a copy of it on the net anywhere? or can you buy them only? I don't want to join or anything I don't need to, I get all the support and drive I need from this site but the points would be handy when off diet to keep tabs on my eating. How many points should it be a day?

salamanda - 2007-05-14 15:29:55

I know I don't understand OMGIRL Charito made it 1000 a day too but on the site [I'll try and find it again] it was posted next to the 3DD we are doing.

I'm having toast instead of the crackers tomorrow cos I love my toast and it said on one sites you could do that!!!!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 15:32:45

I took every individual item and looked it up on calorieking.com so I am so flipping confused!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 15:44:59

im going to go and count everything alone! Ill be back and give you the actual calories for the 3dd #1

salamanda - 2007-05-14 15:45:36

I think the chances are if you looked it up item by item [boy you worked hard! Thanks too for doing it!] Your figure is the more accurate one! Especially since Charitos work out was also closer to yours. What's important is that we all lose flipping weight! I'm hungry at the moment and only a carrot to go!

salamanda - 2007-05-14 16:01:26

I still think you're right but these are the web sites I got the info from.

http://www.angelfire.com/me4/sumofallpa … 20Diet.htm

http://www.dietbites.com/3-day-diet.html

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 16:26:41

interesting! a couple of things were a little different on those links like a lunch was listed as a breakfast and vice versa.

well with LF ice cream and LF hot dogs I got this

BREAKFAST Day 1

201 cals

9.1 fat

LUNCH Day 1

164 cals

1.7 fat

DINNER Day 1

with LF it'd be 363 and  9.5 fat

Grand total= 728 cals and 20.3 fat

BREAKFAST Day 2

207 cals
1.9 fat

LUNCH Day 2

294 cals
11.7 fat

DINNER

with the LF dogs and LF ice cream it's 486 and 25 fat or with one LF dog and one Nathan's with LF ice cream it'd be 667 and 35 fat

Grand total= 987 cals and 38 fat or with one nathan's dog it's 1168 cals and 48 fat

Breakfast Day 3

245 cals
11 fat

Lunch Day 3

143 cals
6.3 fat

Dinner Day 3

with LF ice cream 450 cals and 6.5 fat

Grand total = 838 cals 23.8 fat

so the total for all three days with the LOWEST amount possible is 2553 cals and 82.1 fat

if you got the skinny cow or 97% ff hebrew national route it could be lower I guess. but I honestly don't know how those sites could get it so darn low!

angellicdelight - 2007-05-14 16:37:08

Hi guys!

Wow! Look at all the work you've been doing trying to work out the fat & calories on the 3dd!! I am so impressed, but my brain is now hurting with all the confusion of how many calories that website says compared to how many omgirl & charito get it to!!!!

I'll be watching the board avidly to see what conclusion you come to on it!!

Sally - just checked on ebay for you, there are quite a few of those weight watcher points finder things you were after on ebay.co.uk you can either just search for 'weight watcher points finder' and they will come up (were about 12 auctions listed) or below are the item numbers you can put in the top right hand corner to bring a few of them up:

Item 330117856319 (auction ends 15th May) you get 07 handbook, tracker & points finder with that one)

Item 160113942634 (ends 15 May @ 15.59)

Item 130111644026 (I think this one ends on Wednesday, I forgot sorry!)

Hope that helps you hun!

Good luck to you all for day 2!

salamanda - 2007-05-14 17:24:12

Oh great Kerry cheers for that why didn't I think of there? Great I'll get on there now I' just think it would be so handy when off dieting if you know what I mean!

Hey that's reminded me I bought a load of Lighterlife [diet packs] from ebay lol! I only hacked that diet for 4 days it was awful I've got about £100 worth I must resell it!

I'm not working until Wednesday now so won't get to see any more exams until then but I'll give you the teachers feedback then!

Paper 1 Science this year was probably the hardest yet in the opinion of all teachers and me where I work. The children's reading and comprehension skills needed to be very good to understand the questions!

Still most children didn't seem too stressed about it but they were sure high this afternoon having been in exam mode all morning.

salamanda - 2007-05-14 17:43:23

By the way it has to be Omgirl that's right in my opinion she has every fact and figure [I'm so impressed] and the sites don't break it down like that!

twilight - 2007-05-14 17:55:45

So how are you liking the 3DD so far?

angellicdelight - 2007-05-14 17:58:10

Hi Sally!

Well, I hope you manage to get one on ebay! I always look for everything on ebay now before I go out and pay full price in the shops - hahaha!! I'm such a cheapskate!!!!

And of course whilst you are on ebay spending your money, don't forget to check out my ebay shop with my fab clothes - here's the link if it works!!

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ENMODA

I'll have to offer a CSD website discount for all my fab online friends - haha!!!!

I feel so sorry for the kiddies having to go through these hard exams! My daughter seemed unfazed by it though, I'm sure most of them do at that age, so that's good - I just can't wait til they're all over - I've done so much revising with her that I'm sure I know that bloody curriculum inside out now!!!!!

Yeah, let me know what the feedback is on those other papers hun!

Hope the diet is going well, I know how much you like the 3dd, so I'm sure you're doing fab!!

Best get to bed, all that revising has left me shattered!!!

Kerry x

angellicdelight - 2007-05-14 17:59:35

Gosh - you ar so great working those out - it would take me forever!! By the time I'd finished calculating it the 3 day diet would already be over!!!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 18:07:12

LOL it wasnt that hard. I used to track my calories and fat grams all the time so it was pretty much a cinch for me!

Twilight I like the diet alright so far the only thing I didnt like was that damn grapefruit juice. That was the most disgusting thing i ever put to my lips and beleive me Ive had some pretty nasty things enter my mouth LOL! http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q229/whittnie116/shocked.gif
Yea I said it!

anyways I made tuna fish sald with mustard onion salt pepper and relish I cant eat tuna plain so i added that and am eating it like that Its quite yummy. I figured Ive gotten fat free and lowfat everything else that calls for full fat that it would be alright!

rottingoak - 2007-05-14 18:07:43

kerry - I'm browsing through your ebay items and maan. Some very nice stuff, I shall jot it down for use after I lose my weight. ;)

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 18:23:55

see Whiit! those numbers you came up with look similar to mine and more realistic. I wonder where the hell the sites got those uber low numbers??????????

I'm bummed I ate dinner for lunch now because I'm hungry and I know lunch ain''t gonna cut it for dinner! I think I'll drink a really big diet soda or something and then take a muscle relaxer :P to knock myself out!

great, first I came off like a lush and now I sound like a pill popper! hee hee!

twilight - 2007-05-14 18:25:29

Oh you NASTY girl Brittany!!  (That's why I love ya!)

I wish I had bougt the low fat stuff now but too late.  One thing I was thinking of though is doing 3 egg whites instead of a whole egg.  3 egg whites = 1 egg and if you whip them up you get a bigger bang for your buick!  do you think that's okay?  see I wouldn't before when I thought the fat was included for a reason and we had to have it because of something chemical or some such nonsense but now that we are thinking it is strictly calorie intake...hmmm, what do you think!

I'm having beets instead of carrots too because that's what the original 3DD said and  already bought them.  Will do carrots day 3, so it will be a variety.

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 18:30:12

 lol twilight.

I wouldnt think the three egg whites would be a problem I actually dont like the yolks so that gave me an idea for myself as well!! thanks for that!

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 18:31:50

I think we do need some fat because our bodies will freak. and your hot dogs only have like a total of 3 fat grams so I truly wouldn't worry about the ice cream. honest. just pretend your dogs have more fat and the ice cream is LF!

and remember I still lost 7 on it and I had every single thing full fat. so you CAN still lose, maybe I just woulda lost more?

eat your egg it'll be fine!

twilight - 2007-05-14 18:41:45

Not only that omgirlie, but you are so skinny as it is!   It's way harder to loose 7 lbs. when you hardly have anything to loose!

twilight - 2007-05-14 20:03:55

So I finished my dinner.
I opened my bag of frozen green beans and there was a big piece of OKRA in there! That's what I get for buying generic!
I ate the beets cold, had 3 oz. leftover grilled chicken breast - I could have eaten twice that!
I sliced my apple and put it in a bowl with my ice cream, which I decided to nly eat 1/2 cup of it because it was full fat and 1/2 C. was more than enough!

I guess I will go to bed real early tonight so I won't want to eat

So day 2 here we come........

twilight - 2007-05-14 20:46:02

Question...though I probably KNOW the answer but...

The diet says black coffee with equal or splenda only.  We can have ice cream so I wonder why we can't have 1 TBLS. of skim or light soy milk?   :(

omgirlie - 2007-05-14 21:32:17

thanks twilight! I have such body and weight issues it's not even funny. I think it stems back from when I was 40 pounds heavier. anytime I start to gain I freak.

anytime we are allowed a dairy, like at dinner or the cottage cheese lunch I would totally go ahead and add skim milk or a splash of light soy milk. I really think this is about calories and also carbs vs. sugars.

my friend who is doing with me had a good theory. it made sense of how they seperate and decide what to eat with what. I think we can totally add a little extra here and there. like the whole grapefruit or extra green beans etc.

I don't even like plain tuna but gosh darnit it was it was the best tuna ever! I wanted a whole cup! I put red wine vinegar and salt and pepper.

I did cave and eat a light laughing cow wedge with 35 cals and 2 grams of fat. I was dying of starvation and couldn't deal. maybe I shoulda just had more tuna. i dunno.

anyways one day down and two to go! I am looking forward to my fried egg and toast in the morning!

way to go everyone!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-14 22:52:27

well so i woke up late so my breakfast was at 12 my lunch was at 2:30 and then I fell asleep at 5 so i just finished my dinner right now. There was way too much food that i couldnt eat it all. I didnt have my carrots or greenbeans (not that i would have since they give me a headache), i also didnt have my icecream yet. I dont know if ill be able to. I did get to eat my apple (yum) and my 3oz of fish (wasnt that yum).anyways I hope all of you faired better than I did.

Dont worry about the the cow wedge whatever that is ???? just keep going!!!

welcome Kiki, feel free if you have any questions or comments to post in here we are all on the 3dd with you! good luck!

Nancy, I should have thought about putting the apple in the ice cream. Though for one of the nights i totally am putting the banana in the ice cream!! banana split!!! woohoo!! and as far as the soymilk in your coffee, i would say go for it because all of us have certain NEEDS and i know coffee is definetely a NEED for some! I dont even want to work with my boss unless he has had his morning coffee!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 00:32:29

Thanks twilight for you offer and Kerry for your advice!

My day was all over the place too Brittany cos I started eating at lunch time owing to a bad hangover as my body is not used to alcohol any more!

My skinny cow icecream was 90 calories by the way I'm not going to work out any more cos it's too confusing and my brain hurts from all your figures!!!

It is 7 am here and I am having a can of diet coke [I love the fact this is allowed on this diet] I'm trying to be energetic this morning as my hubby has got up and is going to work. He he! little does he know it's straight back to bed for me as soon as he is out of the door!

I'm going to have 1 breakfast at 9, if I'm up then lol! of half a slice of toast with banana and then at 11 I'm going to have half a slice of toast with boiled egg cut up on top.

salamanda - 2007-05-15 03:08:19

OK I've ordered a weight watchers points book on ebay then I'm going to work out the points each day for this diet!
Hey Kerry I've added you to my fav sellers, lovely stuff but clothes when skinny lol! I really should get to putting my stuff on to sell again as I have loads. No buying for me at the moment my wardrobe is stuffed! Actually I feel like I have a bit of a new wardrobe again anyway at the moment as clothes that haven't fitted me for a while are now fitting! Yeah! Mind you the house we're moving to has got even more wardrobe space than I have now and that's a lot, so when skinny and moved I'll be there lol I'm a clothes addict when slim!

twilight - 2007-05-15 06:19:10

I went to bed really early (like 8:30) so I wouldn't get hungry!  So now it's 4:45 am and here I am!  Last night my husband got jelous of the computer!  He said we used to sit and watch TV together in the evening and now I'm herat this screen all the time! At least I don't the computer into bed like some of you gals!! LOL! :D

I LOVE the Laughng Cow light swiss cheese wedges! I always use them while dieting, tastes like full fat to me.

Really, you guys think a little light soy milk would be okay? I thought  the answer would be no!  I guess if you can have ice cream that would be okay!  I cut the amt. of ice cream way down last night and will do the same from now on. a full cup would have been way too much!

Sal - The points on the 3DD add up like this...
  FOR DAY ONE:
The ice cream I bought was 3 points for 1/2 C. The WW brand will have the pts. on the package but it is usually 1 or 2 and the Skinny Cow is probably the same but it will depend on the fat and fiber (if any)
3 oz. of chicken = 3 pts (breast no skin)
1 apple = 1 pt
1 C. carrots = 1 pt.  1 C. beets = 0 (that's why I chose beets, carrots have a higher sgar content)   1 C. green beans = 0
1 Tbls. Peanut Butter = 2.5 pts reg. 2 pt. reduced fat=2 pt.
Bread depends on calorie, fat and fiber.  I get  the "light" bread so 2 slices = 1 pt.
Tuna = 1 can in water when drained ends up being 1/2 C or 4 oz = 2 pts.

Unless I forgot something and depending on the brands I'll round it up and we'll say day 1 is a total of 14 points!
The MINIMUM "they" say to intake is 20 pts. a day, so see...we're way under!
oops, forgot the grapefruit!  0 for 1/2  1 pt. for the whole thing, I had the whole thing!   Still only 15 pts. day 1, way under!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 08:21:53

13 points for me then cos I forgot the apple! I'm finding I'm hungrier on day 2 though and that's strange when it is more food this day! I think it's the peanut butter on toast that filled me up for longer yesterday! I can't wait until my skinny cow ice cream tonight at least it's something to look forward to! I love hot dogs at the cinema with fried onions, mustard and tomato ketchup but on their own they are just so boring!
I've got low fat chicken ones.

twilight - 2007-05-15 08:27:34

-They are probably only 1 pt. each just like my low fat beef ones.  We can have condiments such as mustard so I will have some hot mustard!   The hottest mustard I have ever had is the English brand Coleman (I think)   OUCH! but I do love the hot stuff!

Cheese tip:

To make that ounce of cheese seem like much more,  I use a vegeable peeler, you know like a potato peeler, don't knw what you "Brits" call them, but I set up my scale and start peeling the cheese from the hunk and that scale will PILE UP!  You get what seems like so much more of lovely thing slices of cheese.  It takes longer to eat it that way and seems like a lot of cheese!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 08:42:44

MMM good idea I was thinking of melted cheese on toast.
Colemans mustard is the best and I love it but I will miss the bread with it!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 09:53:36

Oh yes I love the salsa we do get it here and I love ALL Mexican food yum yum. Mustard is great with roast beef too!!! I am so hungry ouch!!!

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 09:57:01

welcome kiki! way to go on your 4 pound loss, keep it up!

whittnie,

laughing cows are those yummy cheese wedges, do these look familiar?
http://www.thelaughingcow.com/lc/lc.nsf/Lkp/lt_original_image.jpg/$File/lt_original_image.jpg

sally,

I had a diet coke last night and loved every drop of it! but then my stupid ass was researching the diet because you know how some say a whole banana for bfast and a whole for dinner but then others say 1/2 and 1/2? well found some boards and some know it alll was like oh yeah diet drinks are fine but don't drink any dark ones because the coloring turns into sugar and slows the fat burning process down! WTF? I call BS on that. Nowhere on any other site have I heard that! So I'm sticking with my diet cokes...even though in the back of my head I'm all paranoid!

twilight,

wow, 15 points? that's awesome! when I did WW my favorite dinners were the 1 point hot dogs with broccoli and spray butter. then for dessert I'd have a big thing of sugar free jello and FF cool whip! total low point meal and I'd be stuffed!  did you enjoy your coffee yet?

twilight - 2007-05-15 09:58:06

I am so hungry too!
Look what I did...I deleted the last thing I wrote about the Salsa because I thought l am probably boring everyone since I was always on here and they were probably sick of me!  I got embarrassed that my name was on EVERY POST!
Then I saw that you answered me about the salsa and the Colemans and  that was so sweet!
I  just hope I'm not being a pest here.  (It's just so much fun)

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 10:02:34

omg pest? please after all of you were gone and I was on here by myself yesterday I answered like 5 posts and then I saw in the active threads it was just me and I was so embarrassed!

keep the chatter up! it helps the day and the diet go by!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 10:09:26

Never a pest we love you twilight! I'm just glad there is someone else as addicted to this site and posting as much as me lol!

What is Okra twilight?

twilight - 2007-05-15 10:18:29

Thanks girls!  I guess I need to "Get a Life" though!

Okra is a vegetable that is primarily used in the southern states here in the US and it's used in "Gumbo" and in "Jambalya".  I guess it's okay cooked, I've heard it's xcellent fried but to me it is gross and has a slimy, snotty texture.   eehhhhh, makes me shudder to think of it!  Now that' just me, Southerners LOVE it, I just haven't been exposed to it.

salamanda - 2007-05-15 10:46:17

Isn't grits what you have at breakfast made from corn by the way?

OK my skinny cow [I love that name!] is 89 clories per stick and 1.7 grams of fat.   EEEK I've just discovered I picked up the wrong frankfurters they are 99 calories each I don't even like them on their own do you think I should just leave them out? help!

twilight - 2007-05-15 10:56:29

I don't think so, if you don't have time to buy the ones you like (and make your husband eat those)  Can't you SMEEEEAAAAR them wit Coleman's mustard and cover up the taste?   Don't worry about the 99 calories, that's still low, most are more.

Grits are ground up Hominy which is from corn and our version of "Polenta" if you are familar with that.

I like grits though, they are very low points, only 2 for a whole cup whereas rice is 4 pts.!
We will have them with dinner also with salt and pepper and spray butter, ad my husband even likes them with milk and Equal (Splenda) as a 'porrige" or dessert!

I'm trying to make things understandable, "porridge" is like a hot cereal to you right?

salamanda - 2007-05-15 11:14:46

Oh I was worried they were too high calorie compared to what I bought last time. Thanks for the info and another question lol! when we were over there Americans were putting jelly or jam with their eggs and bacon at breakfast which we found really strange, is that normal? I need all these breakfast things sorted out for when we start our bed and breakfast business in Wales. It is so different breakfast for different nationalities! Mind you, lol! What's going to be more important is that I learn to cook in the first place!

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 11:23:13

jelly on the eggs or just jelly on the toast? I've never seen people put jelly on eggs here, just tabasaco, hot sauce or sometime ketchup!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 11:32:02

No it was on the fried egg and bacon not on the toast all on the same plate and we saw it numerous times with different families. It wasn't in Cali I saw it it was in Florida could it just have been a state thing? Like up North here they would have black pudding but down south that is rare!

twilight - 2007-05-15 11:33:45

Ditto what omgirlie said.   Jelly on the toast or biscuits, tobassco or salsa and even some people put ketsup on eggs, but no jelly.

If people are in a foreign country at a B & B, my guess is that they would like a traditional breakfast of that counrtry!   (Bangers and mash for breakfast?)  The only complaints I've heard is that the coffee is very very strong over there, like you can stand a spoon up in it! lol,  probably just an exaggeration!

When are you opening a B&B?  It's a lot of hard work I've heard.   Is that why you're moving to Wales?

twilight - 2007-05-15 11:38:27

Strange, very strange!   I've been to California and Florida many times and never seen it.  Omgirlie lives in Ca. as a matter of fact my father lives in Florida and we have never heard of it.

Well anything is possible!  True it is always served at breakfast time, some people like it on their pancakes.

Maybe the people were from other countries "visiting" the states and saw the jelly on the table and thought that's what you're supposed to do with it!  Tee Hee hee!

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 11:53:47

do you guys think it's okayto drag out our meals? like eat some of it and then some of the rest maybe an hour or so later? but leave 3 or 4 hours in between the last thing of one meal and the first thing of the rest? or do we need to eat it all at once?

twilight - 2007-05-15 12:10:55

Funny you should ask that!  It's 11 am here and I am so hungry that I just had Half of my cottage cheese and 4 crackers!   I crashed so early last night so I wouldn't be tempted, so i woke up this morning at 4:30 AM!  I ate breakfast earlier than normal and just couldn't wait any more!

I guess I will fill up on Diet Pepsi too.  Do you think a little fresh lime squeezed in it would be okay?   I love lemon or lime in diet pop.

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 12:16:53

they say lemon is fine so go for it! okay, I'm going to drag out my lunch then. I'm so damn hungry. my fried egg and toast this morning was oh so good!

I am switching dinner with lunch again. so my big meal will start soon. I'm also upping my broccoli because I read on a couple sites you could have "plenty" of the green beans on green beans day and "plenty" of broccoli on the broccoli day. the calorie content is next to nil anyways.

maybe I should go have a soda....good idea.

hmmmmnnn do I want a banana spilt or a root beer float with my ice cream? decisions decisions.... :)

salamanda - 2007-05-15 12:18:17

lol! Well it was near Disney and self service so maybe you're right they didn't know it was meant for the toast or pancakes then 1 family did it and all the other families copied thinking that was the way to do it in America! The hotel must have thought they had a right weird lot in that fortnight lol! That is just so funny!
PMP!

I just loved Baskin Robbins Ice cream parlours wow the best  our nearest one here is 50 miles away and it isn't a patch on the American ones! Followed by white chocolate Hershey bars with the choc biscuit in THEY ARE divine. We bought back bars and bars of the chocolate!!!! You can't buy them here!! Thank goodness!

Your Macdonalds are also less than half the price of the UK in fact anywhere in Europe I've been.

Oh dear why do I always talk flipping food!!!

salamanda - 2007-05-15 12:21:20

Hey I was so busy posting that last one and you've been posting in between you two lol! Omgirlie I am spreading mine out and did last time I think little small meals make it easier to do.

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 12:41:15

sally, my son loves baskin robbins (31 flavors)! I try and stay away. right now the craze is frozen yogurt, but plain yogurt. it's kinda tart actually. I love it! I'm missing it dearly, I had it on my one off day!

I'm running to the store for the broccoli at 12:15 and then when I get back to work the graze fest is on!

I took twilight's lead and just grabbed a diet coke with lemon from the kitchen to help lessen the hunger.

also call me a cheater I really don't care but those damn 97% FF hebrew nationals are so so so low in calories I'm counting two as one. if last time I did those crazy high fat/cals nathan's and it worked then surely 2 hebs that still count as less then 1 nathan's should be a okay. I think the nathan's are 15 fat grams and 150 or 190 cals a dog.

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 12:48:30

I just talked to my friend who is doing it with me at work and we have decided for tomorrow we are going to do day 3 like this

breakfast

1 boiled egg ( why do you think it has to be boiled?)

1 toast

black coffee or tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal (we don't HAVE to use the sweetener do we?)

lunch

1 cup tuna

1 cup carrots (going to do beets I think)

1 cup cauliflower

1 cup melon

1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

and we will drag it ouuuuuttttttt.

dinner

black coffee or tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal

5 regular saltine crackers

1 oz. cheddar cheese

1 apple

twilight - 2007-05-15 12:50:23

They are.  My husband is having the regular ones (150 cal . or  4 WW pts.) and I'm having the 97% ff ones and they are only 50 calories each and 1 pt!  So doubling up would be nothing!  The regular ones are 3 times the calories.

I would so much rather have yogurt than ice cream.  Even just the ff vanilla stuff in the 6 oz. containers.  See I just can't help but feel guilty about it.  I may get some. It wouldn't be the same as the frozen stuff you talked about but it is dairy and then I wouldn't have the ice cream guilt.  Now you can have the Baskin robbins stuff right?  One site did say frozen yogurt could be substituted for the ice cream.

Here we are making up our own rules!  how funny!

twilight - 2007-05-15 12:54:01

Sounds good!
When I was a kid my Dad would always cut a cantalope in half, scoop out the seeds and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it and it is awesome!
Though your idea of a Root Beer float sounds good too.  Got to get some IBC Diet Root Beer!
Do the cheese like I suggested to Sally earlier,  really seems like a lot more and it will last longer for us "Cheese Heads"!

MARIEL5 - 2007-05-15 14:35:46

Can you give me the rules to the 3DD. I am curious and might want to do it....please e-mail me at tanmlawson@remove-this.fuse.net.

About the jelly thing on breakfast foods, I am from Kentucky and my dad was raised in Appalachia ( the hills of Kentucky ). I have always had grape jam with my eggs, sausage, biscuits and any other breakfast food that you can make into a breakfast sandwich. That was how he was raised and that is what I do. Interesting how different cultures do different thing.

Thanks for everything.
Marie'

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 14:37:02

hmmmph. okay the nathan's dog was good, I took two bites of it but then I tried the reduced fat hebrew's and the nathan's was better but not worth the extra. so I chucked the nathan's with only two bites eaten and finished my reduced fat hebrew national. then I ate 2 of the 97% ff ones.

I snarfed all of my broccoli and then some. just ate my carrots at my desk. so all I have left is my ice cream and 1/2 banana.

I wish I hadn't eaten the two bites of nathan's or the reduced fat and just eaten like 4 of the 97% FF ones because 4 would equal one of the damn nathan's! and now I feel all fat and nasty :(

I like the cantaloupe idea! I bought my melon last week I hope it's still good!

I don't have a scale for the cheese though :(

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 14:50:29

mariel,

that's so interesting about the jelly! there are two versions of the 3 day diet posted on page 1 of this thread. you can also google search and find more but they all pretty much revolve around the two on the first page!

MARIEL5 - 2007-05-15 14:54:00

Thank you for such a quick reply. Iwill check out the diet.
Marie'

twilight - 2007-05-15 15:29:32

Wow, that is interesting about the jelly!  and here we were kidding around with Sally as if she were crazy!

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 16:20:23

looks like she will have to have the hot sauce AND the jelly out for the eggs!

I just ate my ice cream and my 1/2 banana.....omg SO GOOD!

twilight - 2007-05-15 16:54:08

No Doubt!
Well I just had some brocolli and I wish I had more.  and I went to the store and bought 2 ff vanilla yogurts instead of eating the ie cream since I didn't buy diet root beer.  I guess I'll have to force my husband to eat the ice cream, unless I change my mind.  I am so paranoid that this 3DD won't work! I am seriously thinking of going on to the CSD (day 3) the rest of the week!  Well, after the hotdogs tonight anyway, dunno!  I just feel this is not working and I am so hungry.  Oh well I guess I would complain no matter what diet I was doing, I just always want what I can't have.:(

twilight - 2007-05-15 17:23:40

How's everyone else doing on day 2 on the 3DD?   I hope better than me, I haven't caved but am thinking seriously about it!

Brittany?  Staying strong?

I'm so hungry!  Waaaaahhhhh!!  :(             Okay, I'll get over it!

So everyone....how did you do?

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 17:52:01

I think we will all lose. Even with our tweaks. I'm slightly worried about all of my hot dogs today but I think it will be alright. I mean look at our calorie and point count...it's so freaking low how can we NOT lose?

and where the hell is everyone else? I feel like a total loser with how much I have posted today

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 18:11:34

I counted my nathan's two bites as a 1/4 of a dog but I don't think it's even that much...

so my total so far today is 692 cals and 29.5 fat grams

all I have left to eat tonight is the cottage cheese and saltines so I guess even with my high fat today I'm still golden?

good night girls!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-15 18:13:20

IMMM  BAAACKK!!!

Sorry it took me so long to get here. I had to work!

Yes twilight I am still going strong! I am dragging my food out as well it is proving to be too much food for me so what i did was...

Breakfast: three egg whites on toast with pepper (mmmmm)

Lunch: 1/2 banana with cottage cheese

Snack:8 saltines

I am going to make dinner soon so I will be having a 2-3 fat free turkey franks (i figure they are fat free and only 45 calories each ill be fine) I am not going to eat any of the veggies tonight im just not into it, i might make an apple though! (i hope that wont screw with the diet TOO much) and then for desert i am going to have banana and my ww ice cream which is suprisingly good!

anyways I cannot beleive you girls posted SOO much while i was at work. Took me 20 miutes just to read this thread LOL!ok im off to read the other threads!

twilight - 2007-05-15 18:33:44

Well I am glad it's going well, this has been a tough one for me and I will for sure finish today off, but might have to weigh myself tomorrow and if my weigh is worse or the same I will go back to veggies! (day 2 or 3 )

I'm finally full.  I had to have lots more brocolli than it said, but brocolli is my thing!  I can eat pounds of it I swear!   So I had some a while ago and I just cooked up some more WITH the carrots and ate the whole pot and am full now.  I know the thing says to do it exactly but come on...they are veggies!

I still haven't had the dogs, will wait and have them with hubby, as he will have the reg. ones.  He is watching his 'points' too but won't eat the 97% FF dogs because he says they "SNAP"!   Hello,?  They are supposed to snap you idiot!

I am not digging this though, I don't even want them and I don't even want ice cream or the banana.  I think I get bored with stuff or it's just the "Rebel" in me and I don't like all the structure. (Even though I need it so much!)

I need an attitude adjustment!!  Reach into the computer screen and slap me okay?

whittnie116 - 2007-05-15 19:19:59

well this is all i could find to slap you with so here ya go you asked for it!

then this one was just innapropriate!! LOL!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q229/whittnie116/Slap_that_butt_o_o_by_Kogas_Girl.gif

Have you had enough?? Learned your lesson? I hope so!

I personally finally gave into the carrots, im not having the brocolli though and i went out and bought the 97% fat free hebrew national. Only 1.5 g of fat and 50 cals. I bet they will be nicer that the turkey franks i had originally bought. I plan to have a banana split later on tonight!

omgirlie - 2007-05-15 21:12:31

I only ate half the cottage cheese even though I wanted the whole thing because it was full fat and my lazy ass is too lazy to go to the market and get FF.

twilight,

DO NOT WEIGH YOURSELF TOMORROW! we have one more day to go, don't bail now! I am 100% positive you will have lost!

whitt,

finally! jeez I thought we had lost ya! you are gonna love the 97% heb's! they rock!

okay I just took my muscle relaxer. hopefully it kicks in soon because the other half of cottage cheese is calling my name right about now.........

twilight - 2007-05-15 21:21:53

Slap your monkey!  I mean your "Barney"!!

I had my 2 Hebrew National 97% ff dogs.  and I switched the ice cream for vanilla yogurt and a banana.  Just couldn't do the ice cream!   I might eigh myself tomorrow and if no loss, then poo-poo on the dry tuna day!  We'll see, I have this thing that if I get just so far on something, then I feel obligated to finish it, so I may surprise myself.

My husband lost another 2 ibs.!   32 lbs. now in about 2 months!  (I thought it was 3 mos.)   He should patent it! " The Raisen Bran Diet"!

Thank you for the slaps,  heh, one was enough, i get it, I get it!  So I will sign off now and give some other folks a chance to post!  I feel like I am trying to monopolize this whole thing and I am so sorry for that!  Just need the company to keep from going crazy!  My husband's ben working 16 hours a day and I have way too much spare time on my hands!   :bounce:
Have a great evening!!

twilight - 2007-05-15 21:26:15

okay omgirlie,  whatever you say!  :worthy:   After all, you are the experienced one!

alrighty then, one more day it is!  CSD after that?  Or is it going to be the "WCB"?
(Wine, Cheese, Bread Diet!)
Yea right, we'll loose 10 pounds in 3 days on that one! NOT!
Cheers gang!  Twilight's going out!  Over and Out!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-15 22:57:15

barney??? LOL thats the dancing hippo!! I thought barney was a dinasaur?!?
sorry about not posting so much! I keep sleeping! ive been so tired because i havent goingto sleep until 3-4 in the morning.

I will be working all week 9-5 so i wont be on here until later in the day. My husband also thinks im a computer hog. So unfortunetely I have to relinquish my reign over it a little, that will even decrease my posting :(...But that is not going to stop my dieting! I am going to continue with this three day diet then take thursday off and then friday is CSD time! Like we discussed twilight are you up for it everyone???

salamanda - 2007-05-16 01:01:58

Good morning girls Twilight give it the three days I'm sure you're losing! Just 1 day to go now and I'm working on what I can have tomorrow now yum yum!

I do feel thinner actually in fact when I put my shorts, that I bought more recently, on they even looked a bit baggier on me and my tummy is getting hard and flat now. Maybe it is just my imagination but I actually feel as is I am closer to goal weight. I still hate my legs though they wobble so. I'm the cellulite queen!! I don't know what to do if I get to target and still hate my legs cos I don't want to lose any more off my bust!!! Still I guess I've never liked my legs even when I was too thin! I think it's because I used to cycle a lot. I'm getting a new bike soon so at least they'll get firmer and firm big legs is better than flabby ones. I'm waffling again sorry girls but when I get up there is nobody on line to chat to so I chat to myself lol!

The bummer for me is if I get to target I have to then give up smoking as they'll be no more excuses then! I wonder if there is a site like this for giving up smoking? Mind you unlike dieting where you can discuss foods you CAN eat you can't discuss cigarettes that you can never have again so I guess a site wouldn't help anyway!

I hate egg whites give me the yoke that's what I like! So it seems like the jam jelly thing is a regional thing out there then and you two thought I was barmy lol!

My hubby is working away a lot at the moment so that's my excuse for being a saddo on here mind you I'm on just as much when he's home! I'm working this afternoon which is good because the day goes quicker and that makes it easier when dieting I find. One more day to go!

Just though I'd give some more slaps u lol!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-16 01:03:21

Day two down!! Onto day three ladies! How is everyone doing?

Nancy hang in there I know it's tough for you right now. Just keep going only one more day! No need to quit now!!!

I work in the morning so make sure you guys post alot so I have stuff to read when I get back!

salamanda - 2007-05-16 01:15:50

Brittany I was posting when you did mines above yours. You are up late it is the morning here!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-16 01:24:07

LOL Sally so you did! Im up because I am watching a movie. I need to go to sleep because I need to go to bed!

It's great that you feel fitter, I cant wait until I get to the point where I can say I feel like my tummy is flatter! It will be a while before I can even THINK that!

If you get to your target weight you may lose bust but at least the rest of your body will shrink to so it wont look as disporportionate (sp??) as you think.

I actually must say that I have experimented and LOVE eggs with jelly!

You and I are a little different in the sense that you love yolks and I HATE yolks! Yucky! I mean I will eat them but if i can make them go bye bye I do it!

Anyways have a wonderful day, I will check back tomorrow (your late night) my evening. Goodnight sally!

twilight - 2007-05-16 06:17:42

Good morning girls!
It's the start of day 3 and all those slaps, slapped the defeatest out of me so I' ready to jump this last hurdle!
It's 5 am, why am I up so early? Well I have been going to bed so early lately so I won't eat at night!  Also the cat woke me up.   She hops up on the back of the bed and slams the cabinet doors in the headboard to wake me up!  really! sometimes she pulls out kleenix's (tissue) out of the box, one by one until I wake up and pay attention to her.
I may try to go back to bed though, too many hours awake make for more hours to crave food! I'm just watching a little VH1 (music videos) and then maybe try to crash again.
Sal, I am the cellulite queen, not you!  So get in line girlfriend, I range supreme!

So you think it's okay to switch the meals Om?   would like luch for breakfast, dinner for lunch and breakfst for dinner...is that too whack or as long as it's all in the same day, okay?

So you can tell I don't have kids huh?  I can't believe there is more than one big purple stuffed thing out there for kids to idolize!  but then I still don't "get" the whole "square pants" thing either.
Ta Ta for now!  Have a great day my little chick-a-dees!

omgirlie - 2007-05-16 09:54:10

sally! I feel the same way! my tunny feels less jiggly and I swear my pants fit better! cept I looked at myself in my underwear this morning and I totally have at least another 5-8 to lose I think....

twilight,

I think it's fine to switch up the meals but I really feel strongly about not mixing up the items. Like don't take an item from breakfast and eat it with dinner, just leave all the meals together but you can switch the time.

whittnie,

okay so you have eaten eggs with jelly? like scrambled? okay when I'm off this I'm so going to try it! and tell your hubby to back off on the computer or he's going to have to deal with a bunch of hungry bitchy online women!

omgirlie - 2007-05-16 11:59:13

I am freaking STARVING. I ate my breakfast an hour and a half ago (I did the egg, toast and coffee).

I was going to wait for lunch (which is the dinner) till at least 1 but I'm hunnnnnngie :(

Miracleburn
I know diet pills aren't the answer but....hmmmmn

how is everyone else? last day people! go us!

salamanda - 2007-05-16 11:59:39

Well nearly there now girls I can eat what I want in 5 hours cos it'll be midnight here lol! I'm only joking. I won't eat, apart from my icecream cos I haven't had it yet, until weighing in the morning. Let's hope there's a loss I feel there will be so I hope I'm not disappointed.

Then I'm going to have a few days off and be a bit more normal if that's possible! Oh I had to have cabbage instead of cauliflour today as I forgot to get some whoops! I can't see that making that much difference.

You won't get rid of me posting on here though because I still plan to be careful. I'll maybe use the WW points as a guide [I've got them all now + weight watchers menus etc.] until my next diet and I still haven't decided which one to do yet! I'll probably go with the flow and follow what ever you are doing in a week or so.

twilight - 2007-05-16 13:04:54

Hi Y'all!
So I had my egg and toast for breakfast and going to do the dinner for lunch but streeeetch it out all day!  I am doing way more cauliflower than 1 Cup, as I did with the brocolli, because I love that kind of stuff, it's a negative calorie value, and I am soooo hungry!  Not to mention that I don't want to get "Colon Cancer" when I'm older!  SO There!  (enough excuses do ya think?)
I don't even know if I'll be able to get the cheese and crackers in tonight because the lunch really is a lot of food.
Hey you California girls...I got a whole seedless watermelon for just $1.49 EACH at "Sprouts"!  I know you have them over there too!

I am going to start the CSD tomorrow I believe.  I bought all the ingrediants and don't think I can trust myself to have a day off for drunken debauchery! (hmmm, well we'll see about that!)   Anyway I think I will TRY to start but I am going to start with the veggie day, like day 2, day 2, day 3 etc. I think.  I do much better with unlimited veggies than fruit, I just know how much sugar is in the fruit so I usually limit myself.   I may skip the banana day too as Whittnie and I had discussed.(?)

I will let you all know and regardless I know there will be people on the CSD at some point so we'll all be doing something or another from now on!

My cauliflower is calling...I'm doing it like a soup with spices and curry and I'm going to eat it all day!   Yee Ha!  (why am I talking like a cowboy all of the sudden?)
Cheers guys!

36toGoal - 2007-05-16 14:49:35

It sounds like you have all done really well and stayed on track, can't wait to hear your results in the morning!
Also, I just read a different 3 day diet in a magazine.  No ice cream, but it seems like a bit more food maybe?  I think you get 4 eggs a day (one with yolk, 3 just whites) and you also get oatmeal with syrup, i think.  I will try to post it tomorrow, maybe it could be another option for in between csd?
Anyway, just wanted to congratulate you guys for sticking through the three days, you all did fabulous and I'm sure it will show up on your scales tomorrow!  :clapping:
Mandy

salamanda - 2007-05-16 15:18:31

Thanks Mandy that new diet sounds interesting I'm looking for variety so that sounds interesting mind you I have been enjoying the icecream.

Twilight good on you for sticking out the three days I'm so glad you did I just hope it has been worth it for you. Are you seriously going straight back to CSD you are amazing! I'm ready for a short break but will join in again soon.

Omgirlie glad you're feeling thinner I have found days 1 and 3 okay but day 2 I found tough! Strange because that is the day that is the most calories!

I got all the WW stuff on line menues, recipes, points and everything I could need on ebay it is great I am going to try to do that in between mind you I'll probably use a few points up on alcohol and blow the food knowing me lol!

Brittany I hope that your day went well!

twilight - 2007-05-16 15:56:08

Hello my lovelies!
So Sal...what time is it over there? Your day 3 is over?  How'd ya do?  You've got to check out this cute website that I posted yesterday, it's all the WW points for the recipes as well as a bunch of other stuff!  It  is:
www.hungry-girl.com    There's calorie and point, fat etc. info on a lot of stuff and some recipes for LOW POINT COCKTAILS!!
I'm having my dinner all through the day.  I made cauliflower soup (no cream) and it reminded me more of garlic mashed potatoes or something!  Really good and FILLING! I definately had more than a cup but too bad, that's the only way I can survive this!
I will gradually try to get all the food in and eat watermelon with my husband as that will be his dinner! (mean wife huh?)  Do you think it would hurt the diet if I DON'T eat the cheese and crackers?  I ate lunch for breakfast and dinner all day and I really don't think I'll have time or the appetite for it. Maybe at midnight, with some wine! Ha ha!

So I guess tomorrow morning we will have to post our results.  As long as I don't gain!
So I will see you on "TWITS" tomorrow I guess!  Even though I may be doing CSD, it's not going to be the original, just my 'favorite' days!
Cross your fingers guys, hopefully we will succeed!    Someday...Somehow!! :first:

salamanda - 2007-05-16 16:14:54

Yes I guess it's TWITS tomorrow yee haaa!

You know me I post all over anyway!

It is 11pm over here at the moment and raining!!! as usual!

I went to work today that was an effort. Singing too and I can't sing so I have to mime along mind you anything is better than me singing lol!

What day have you found the hardest on this? 2 for me!

Yes that site looks good I browsed it yesterday when you posted it I meant to say before thanks for that.

twilight - 2007-05-16 16:33:32

My sister in Chicago sent it to me and she always does Weight Watcher's too and was quite impressed with all the 2 point Margaritas!  Yes, it runs in the family!

So you are done with day 3 and will post in the morning too!  It's about 3:30 in the afternoon here now.   It is actually a bit cloudy so it may rain here too, which is too bad because I spent most of today watering the grass, plants and trees!  That always happens, like when you wash your car, it rains!  Of coare you poor thing, it seems to rain where you are a lot!  Where I live, it rains so seldom that people can't even drive in it!  Some of them actually pull off the side of the road and wait for it to stop before they drive in it!   How bazaar!

The hardest day for me on the 3DD?  Day 1 and Day 2!  As you know I was ready to give up, but thanks to all you sweetie-pies I didn't and today has been a breeze!

Ta Ta for now!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-16 18:19:05

WOOHOO! IM BACK!! So today went ok, but I am really hungry right now. It's almost time for dinner. I had the apple for breakfast the cheese and crackers for lunch (i ate a blend of white and yellow cheese much easier for me to stomach), instead of eating the boiled egg i just scrambles three egg whites and had it on my toast for lunch. Now im getting ready for dinner! I am not going to eat the cauliflower. Unlike you nancy, I have a hard time eating my veggies!

Sally thank you for wishing me a good day, my day was ok, though my hubby did buy me two pairs of shoeS!!! 1 was coach and the other UGG sandals. YAY! SHOES!! Im a shoe and purse woman!

omgirlie I have eaten aggs with jam yes scrambled. It really the only way i eat them I also eat them with syrup. But i really like them on toast with jam :)

LOL! about the driving in the rain, we have such a mixture here you HAVE to know how to drive in HEAVY rains. It only rains in winter and spring though. DOnt you have monsoons out there nancy? I was out there and we chased on! that was fun, danced in the monsoon brings a whole new meaning to dancing in the rain!!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-16 18:32:41

I know I am answering my own post but oh well. I forgot to say that I feel i have lost some weight though i havent weighed myself all day not even this morning! My stretch marks (i know gross) all over my tummy are shrinking though so thats why i feel i am losing weight :)

twilight - 2007-05-16 18:33:06

O yea,  Monsoons are pretty cool, it brings the temperature down at least!
No wonder you think $50 for a pair of shoes is cheap, you buy Coach!  I didn't know they made shoes.  My husband bought me a Coach purse several years ago and I almost died when I found out the price!  I will have to used it every day of my life for te rest of my existence to get it's money's worth, that's for sure!

I just had my beets (since it's either beets or carrots)  and a can of tuna with mustard in it like you did Whit-and mustard IS legal, so we're cool!  I also did 3 egg whites rather than 1 boiled egg and toast for breakfast.  I whipped up the whites with my hand mixture and it makes a huge fluffy amount of stuff! I had it on the 2 pieces of "light" toast and was great.  I have yet to have the cheese and crackers and may just leave it out.  Was going to have that for dinner but I am still working on all that food.  When my husband comes home we're going to have watermelon for dinner and I will eat the yogurt before bed.  I felt so guilty with the ice cream, I only had it the first night and bought yogurt for the rest.  Now I have this lovely Bryers French Vanilla full fat ice cream in my freezer, just waiting to tempt me when I least expect it! :mad2:

Well it's almost over kids!   Can't wait till tomorrow and see how you all did!  I dont think I did well at all but at least I'm going to see it through!  Yea!!:clapping:

whittnie116 - 2007-05-16 18:41:09

LOL I LOVE COACH! Yes they do make shoes, some of the most comfortable ones too! I have more purses than just coach. I have 2 coach 2 prada 1 luis vuitton and some random bags from lesser known places like XOXO, ROXY, Ralph Lauren and such :) I love them!

Anyways your eating the same "light" toast as me  its not the best but i like it well enough!

THROW IT AWAY!!!! It will eat at YOU until you eat IT so THROW IT AWAY!!!!

twilight - 2007-05-16 18:45:00

Yea, I'll throw it away right down my stomach!

twilight - 2007-05-17 08:09:20

Yeah Sally girl!  You are the first to post!
2 lbs. lost, that really is spectacular since you are already so darn SKINNEY!!!  2 lbs. in 3 days at 130 lbsis very good, the smaller you get the harder it will be!  The last 5 pounds are always the hardest!  Sally my friend...you are going to blow away in the next thunderstorm!!   :worthy:  Such a good job, "We're not worthy"!

Now for mine...  only 1.5 pounds down
BUT..(and this is a big but...MINE! lol!)  I know I put on a few lbs. during my 2 days off after the CSD with all that drinking and eating, so I'm sure it's more.  I was afraid to step on the scale after that so we will never really know, but I could feel that I had "undone" some of what I accomplished on the CSD diet non the less!

So Omgirlie, you are right (again!) yes it does work and we will loose weight, etc. etc.  I should have listened to those "pearls of wisdom" with open ears and mind.

Okay, whose up next?  Good Luck chick-a-dees!:clapping:

egotrip - 2007-05-17 09:43:13

twilight- does one loose more wieght after the banana day? or its steady? u said morning of you were down 4 lbs....what happened by day 7? lost more? im down only 2.5 and im wondering if itll be more or not by day 7....im eating only 2.5 bananas today and 4 cups of milk...hoping not to gain...moreover hoping to loose another 2.5 by last day to even out 5 lbs lost....

twilight - 2007-05-17 09:56:34

The morning of day4 (before eating) I was down 4.5 pounds and after the whole thing I had lost a total of 7 pounds.  so yes I did continue to loose but most of it was the first 3 days.  They say you shouldn't weigh yourself at all during it, just wait till the end but I had to!  My mistak as doing it every day after that!  I really wanted to see which days were the best for me so I could kind of tweak the diet to fit my needs!   So for me the bananas were not a good thing, but perhaps for someone else they are.  The diet author says the bananas stop your sweet cravings (which I don't have anyway) and give your digestion a rest. (I'd rather be 'regular' than constipated, and that's wht the bananas did to me!)   So to each his own, some LOVE the bananas, I myself would rather have veggies!   Really I think after the first time doing the CSD, we can adjust the diet to make it work for us individually!

You should check out "The NEW Cabbage Soup Diet" too!   It also gives you a few other options like a bowl of Fiber One Cereal and a glass of skim milk a day, and 1 TBLS. of FF salad dressing on Veggie day!

whittnie116 - 2007-05-17 10:10:47

Here is to us 3DD dieters for getting to the end and all losing!

sinead - 2007-05-17 10:20:18

Ladies, Sorry I haven't been able to 'talk' to you this morning but my husband is 'working from home' today and he really will be convinced that I do nothing all day if he catches me chatting on the computer!!!

I have to say it is amazing the jobs I have done today by NOT sitting at the computer!!

Sally, you have done brilliantly - to lose that much at your weight is really ggod going!!:first:

Twilight, I know what you mean about stepping on the scale after these 3 days - I only had the courage to get on this morning because I had been getting a couple of long walks in on Day 2 and 3. Until then I hadn't thought that it had been working!

Anyway, I just have time for a quickie - weighed myself this morning and have dropped 3 pounds - lovely!!:clapping: The 3dd was okay and I probably will do it again but I am a grazer and with the csd I can dip into the soup whenever I have a hunger pang, so I missed that with this diet.

I am doing 3 days of CSD now to take me up to the weekend and a day off on Sunday, where I have promised myself a little of anything I fancy!! I read someone's posting a while ago where whenever they felt tempted by something they just wrote it down and promised themselves they could have it on the Sunday - by then they usually did not want everything that was on the list!!!

I will weigh myself on Monday morning to see what the combined 3dd and 3csd has done for me!!

Must go, its tea-time and Thursday night is my night off from fresh home cooking - that means its frozen pizza and oven chips for tea!! - which I set in the middle of the table and promptly go for a walk till all temptation has been eaten or has gone really cold, too cold even for me to eat!!

Talk to you all tomorrow!

Sinead

omgirlie - 2007-05-17 11:34:57

will one of you please put a gun to my head and shoot me. seriously I am done. DONE DONE DONE.

121.5 :mad2:

granted last night I had some emtional shit that I had to deal with so I was depressed. met my friend at a bar around 11pm. had ONE vodka club soda, then pulled into del taco BUT I left without ordering. went home had 1 LF string cheese, 4 or 5 baked lays, a half serving of peanut butter pretzels and a fiber one granola bar.

when I got off the cabbage soup diet I was 120.5, I know I musta gained some on my day off. but COME ON. shouldn't I have been atr least 119?

F-me. just F-me seriously. I GIVE UP :worthy:

Good luck to all of you!

mwah,
lisa

egotrip - 2007-05-17 11:42:23

wait hold on....u cant give up!!!!

im here not giving up cause you guys arent....

your scale is broken!!!! get a new one....

twilight - 2007-05-17 11:48:49

Come on O, don't be so bummed!  Life is like a gift, unwrap it with enthusiasm, even if sometimes you find a big ugly sweater from Aunt Esther!   Okay, a weird analogy, sorry, I am a bit twisted as you well know!

Just get right back on baby!  Come on, don't give up!  I started back with the CSD today!  I was only down 1.5 lbs. and I was pretty miserable the whole time, believe me.   Emotional shit really stinks doesn't it?  and no one's perfect, we all crash and burn sometimes, just pick yourself off, dust yourself off and "SNAP OUT OF IT"!

I'm so sorry you're so bummed out!  We need your enthusiasm and advice my dear!  Really, come on...just eat fruit and veggies today and I bet after a few trips to the Jon, you'll be back!

So what do you say O?   PLEEEZE?

omgirlie - 2007-05-17 12:22:48

egotrip,

I don't think I can be of much help or supportive when I'm such a grumpy bitch! I did that stupid f-ing 3DD and didn't lose anything? THERE IS NO WAY I gained that much in the one day I went off the CSD. I was 120.5 Sunday morning, I ate not too bad on Sunday then started the 3DD Monday and then today 121.5? I know I ate last night but it was after midnight and I was having an emotional breakdown. but what could I have gained from that .5? *maybe* a pound but that is stretching it.

I'll help you with your cleanse if you go on it but I'm out of ooomph on everything else.

twilight,

could we have all not lost as much as normal because we f-ed with it so much? is that why? my friend who did it with me has lost a total of 11.5 pounds in the past 10 days (CSD and 3DD). WTF? granted they have way more to lose but still. I technically GAINED. GAINED. F-ing GAINED. so now I'm popping xanax like candy and ready for a cocktail like now. I wish I had enthusiam to give to you and the boards but right now I feel like everything f-ing SUCKS. I can't lose this F-ing weight, I can't stick to a 7 day diet let alone a 3 day diet without jacking it all up. I'm a .loser but not in a good way! you guys need positive feedback and I'm in such a F-ing craptastical mood I'm not going to be any help. and trips to the jon? I EVEN TOOK LAXATIVES SO I COULD FINALLY SHIT and I STILL WEIGHED MORE THEN WHEN I WENT OFF THE F-ING CABBAGE SOUP DIET.

I need to get some more wisdom teeth so I can drown my sorrows in percocet and lose weight from not being able to chew!

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH:mad2: I ate all that freaking tuna and crap for NOTHING! I lost 7 pounds last time because I did it right and didn't move things around or eat laughing cows and whatever else I did wrong on that stupid diet.

omg I am Miss Total Negativity...I'm sorry

salamanda - 2007-05-17 12:44:31

Omgirlie I don't know what to say you must be feeling like complete sh**. Have a couple of days chilling and then get back on here and to dieting again if you stop now you will regret it in time. Apart from anything we need you back on here! I agree with egotrap it may be your scales juggling things can't have made that much difference throw them out and get a new set!

twilight - 2007-05-17 12:51:40

Omgirlie-  I really need to cut back on my posting, but I can't leave you hanging like that.  We really didn't f*** with it THAT much!  Just switched the meals around, and I doubled the veggie amount and skipped day 3 breakfast all together but the reason my loss is so low is my own damn fault! The 2 days in between I started out real good, watching what I ate and then started slamming the screwdrives and all good intentions go down the tubes!  Then the next day I was so freaking hungover I started drinking Bloody Mary's then screwdrivers THEN Margaritas - just cuz I had bananas and Mangos left!  You know the feeling...grabbing everything in site to cram down my throat!!   So I KNOW I gained after that but didn't have the balls to get on the scale the start of day 1 of the 3dd, so it's my own damn fault and I probably lost a lot more on the 3dd than 1.5 but I'll never know and I have to live with that!  As for you, it probably was that last night of the "Frankenfood"!  Shit I can gain 5 pounds overnight after one of my "Pig Outs"!  No problem!  So I know you're pissed but it could be worse... yea, I see you rolling your eyes at me!
Hey it's one bad night, just a lttle binge, oh well, it's done, get over it!
You could have said "NO" to the food and had a bunch of cocktails, drive on the wrong side of the street on the way home, smash into a car, get a DUI, only AFTER spending a week in the hospital with bodily injury, where they REFUSE to give you anything for pain!  and no, don't be thinking that since you'll be drinking from a straw, therefore you'll loose weight...No!  This big mean ugly nurse named Olga force feeds you fattening, disgusting stuff as you lay there not being able to even work it off!   SO THERE!  See...things could have been a lot worse!  Wheeew!

egotrip - 2007-05-17 12:54:53

seriously!!! get a new scale!!!!

thats all i have to say....

egotrip - 2007-05-17 12:58:20

lol twilight....wow...."worse" is an understatement the way you put it....WOW!!!

salamanda - 2007-05-17 13:04:46

Oh Twilight you do make me laugh so!

I don't blame the diet at all I have lost a lot of weight since Christmas and as Twilight said earlier today these last few pounds are always the hardest to lose. I now only lose 4lbs for 7 days of CSD and to lose 2lbs to me is good in 3 days! I will definately do this 3DD again before very long because as diets go I like it!

I also believe our weight loss would have been more for all of us had we not been dieting just before starting this diet so our bodies had already got used to less calories or points per day.

omgirlie - 2007-05-17 13:32:11

thanks you guys, you are all super sweet for talking me off my ledge!

and yes, twilight you are right about it could have been much worse! I was thinking you were going to say something well you could have actually EATEN something at Del Taco instead of going home but yeah your worse theory takes the cake!

I just feel like the past three days has been a waste (except for chatting with you guys :P ) I restricted myself so much for what? nada. oh well.

sally, good point about the already low cals. hmmmn.

well now I don't know what to do.

sinead - 2007-05-17 13:51:20

Omgirlie! I hate to see you so pi**ed off!:( I know how awful it is to put in so much effort and not see a result. Yet I really think the scales can fluctuate so much due to fluids in our body that if you weigh yourself a couple of days after the diet you would see a drop in the scales!! Our bodies have got used to this trend of dieting and probably a week of healthy eating followed by a BLAST of CSD would shock your metabolism into fat burning mode!!:bounce:

Two things:

1. I really think if you got off this treadmill we are on of following one diet with another, ate healthily and stepped up the exercise  for the next few days, you WILL see a difference on Monday morning

2. After losing weight for the past couple of weeks we CANNOT expect to lose more than 1- 2 (maybe 3) pounds in a week from now on.

Hang in there, I am expecting my slow week to hit me very soon. In fact by the sounds of recent postings I think a lot of the girls are suffering from diet fatique:wacko:

Come on, we can do it!!

Sinead XX

salamanda - 2007-05-17 14:11:53

Yes I totally agree with the breaks in between dieting. We are confusing our bodies that way and that will speed up our metabolism our bodies are in a rut of dieting and weight loss will get slower and slower. I truely believe my success with weight loss has been having breaks in between every diet I do especially because we are on low calorie quick weight loss diets.

I have completed 7 strict weeks of dieting in all in the last 20 weeks and have lost 31 lbs in all but if you average out the weeks it actually works out at roughly 1.5 lbs a week I have lost which is actually what is recommended. I also think this gives me a greater chance of actually keeping the weight off when I eventually get to target. I think what I am trying to say is be a little more patient if you are in it for the long haul!

GOSH SLAP ME I'VE WRITTEN A SENSIBLE POST LOL!

sinead - 2007-05-17 15:20:00

Very Sensible BUT Very True:worthy::worthy:

omgirlie - 2007-05-17 16:00:39

sinead and sally,

you guys both make a lot of sense. I think the non dieting emotional crap that went on yesterday just made me in an all around pissy mood. that coupled with the lack of weight loss on the 3dd had me at my wit's end. I'm starting up my yoga practice again and hopefully my ass will go back to the gym as well.  with healthy eating maybe just maybe my stupid freaking pants will fit me again?

I've backed away from the ledge. Thanks for dealing with me and my drama queen moment:blush:

salamanda - 2007-05-17 16:17:36

I'm so glad you're feeling better today omgirlie and remember we all hit points like that at times and anyone who hasn't probably will!

36toGoal - 2007-05-18 05:38:55

Omgirlie,

Even though you've already been talked off the ledge, I just want to get my 2 cents in!

I've been dieting since the end of February, I was doing my own thing until I started csd April 30th and then did the 3dd right after.  Anyways, there have been a few times along the way when I hit a rut and either didn't lose or lost less than a pound (so basically, I didn't lose because what is a half pound anyways??)  So I would give myself a week off.  Yes a whole week and I tried to do it without guilt.  And usually I'd either stay where I was or gain a pound or two.  Then when I started back up again I would lose like five or six pounds in that week.  And that was just healthy eating, not any kind of structured plan.

So don't worry about an off week.  I truly believe sometimes we need that both for our metabolism and for our sanity!

Don't give up!

Mandy

omgirlie - 2007-05-18 15:50:31

thanks 36!

the diets all say to take a break anyway, I guess we just get all gung ho and don't want to listen! but surely there must be a reason right? it really is about healthy eating isn't it? maybe I'll take a whole week off and see....

twilight - 2007-06-05 10:48:16

There are a couple of you asking about the 3dd, so I bumped it up for you!   Juck look on the very first posting by Whittnie116 and there are 2 versions of it, just click on #1 or #2 and that should answer your questions.  It is also posted elsewhere, I believe if you look back on the thread titled  "MAY CSD CHALLENHGE  there are several different diets posted in the middle somewhere.  Hope this helps!  I'm sorry I am a bit of a computer novice and not too sure about pasting and stuff but this should help.

tryin2losesome - 2007-06-18 14:46:55

Did you guys had the carrots and other veggies raw or boiled? Also, I'm allergic to peanut butter so what would be a good substitute?

:worthy:
