[h]
Here is to the nasty person cos my wonderful lovely friends on here are a damn sight more important than you so bring it on from now on we are gonna laugh at you and be united. [I found this on that garbage site where everyone is boringly dieting and seem to have had their personalities removed to lose weight lol!]
Right now let's get back to what is important right girls!
As for you lot what can I say but you are THE BEST!

So basically some of us with this dieting lark over the last month have done sh** [me included lol!]

We have to buck our ideas up or this will be us lol!
and some of us have done brilliantly so big well dones to you!! I only hope you can rub off a bit on us failing ones this month![/h]

| 36toGoal - 2007-06-01 09:59:36 |
SALLY!!!! Thank God you are back we were turning into a bunch of depressed and non functional people!!!
|
| sistermoon - 2007-06-01 10:06:18 |
Hello! Can I get in on this?
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-01 10:09:46 |
Well, it already feels better on these boards and I am so glad that Sally has come back to join us! If you could've just seen the smile on my face when I saw your name, Sally. It feels like you've been gone forever! Now everyone can get back to their fun, motivating, hysterical selves and STOP ALL THIS DEPRESSION!!! (Me included!) Well, incase we are keeping track of who is doing what, I have decided to do the 3dd starting Monday, and maybe do 2 in a row and then a break on Sunday. Has anyone ever done 2 in a row with no break? And I will finally be incorporating exercise, starting Monday. I feel like I am eating everything in site these days! I don't even feel good physically, or mentally! I'm glad it is June, feels like a fresh start. But I am going to a welcome home BBQ for my brother tonight, cocktails included. And Sunday I have a confirmation to go to. So that is why I am waiting till Monday. And Twilight, even if you don't want to be in the chart with weight and measurements, I still think you can be a part of the challege. We need you to help keep us on track and you always have something positive to contribute! So we're 3 day dieting starting Monday, right? We will be enjoying that dry tuna on toast together...YUM...okay, that was sarcasm. I really love my tuna with mayo but I will sacrifice. Okay I am getting on with my day now. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, enjoy the cocktails (he he, I have a one track mind today...!) and be ready Monday to kick some butt! Mandy
|
| twilight - 2007-06-01 10:23:16 |
Sounds good to me!! on the 3DD, I think it said we can have mustard, so not the same as mayo...at least it wouldn't be too dry! Now I'm going to have to find my hotdogs on sale somewhere, and buy bread again(that can prove to be a mistake, love my bread!) and do you do the one with the carrots or the beets? I guess they are interchangeable but beets have less calories and sugar. Oh no, I just remembered the ice cream! Too bad I forced my husband to eat the rest of the Breyers I bought!:mad2: Oh well, it's fun to be on board with something! It's amazing how when something depresses you, like the "Intimidator", we turn to food and drink and feel sorry for ourselves? So glad Sally is back for sure, the whole attitude has already changed on this board! I am happy for the first time all week! :clapping:
Oh, and if you want to go twice in a row, I certainly don't think it would hurt you. If you are like me (and yes I believe we weigh about the same and have the same weight goal) then we certainly are not going to "waste away"! I will see how it goes...I was really happy when the 3 days were over, so I don't want to end up so sick of it and hating it, I'd rather try to do it every couple of weeks. Have a great weekend and party hard with your bro!
|
| beachykeen - 2007-06-01 12:23:09 |
Okay I'm in... at least for the first 7 days... cause of the taste of the soup and all ... no matter how I fix it ... YUCK!

How Do I get on the June Challenge?
|
| maidofhonor - 2007-06-01 13:59:12 |
Charito, I'd like to get in on the June Challenge if I could. But I think I understood from your post a couple days ago that you were not taking new members into it? If you change your mind, I'd love to join you! I'm on day 3 of CSD today and my stats at the start were: 5'7" tall and 192.2 pounds. I also took measurements, but I don't have those with me. (I haven't weighed or measured since the start of CSD yet...I want to wait until day 8 so I can see the HUGE change!)
Stretch goal is 175 by end of June. Next goal after that is 155. Final goal is 140.
Thanks!

In the midst of all of the excitement of Sally coming back, I just realized that we haven't heard from Brittany in a while. Brittany, where are you? Is everything okay? Check in with us please, whether you are doing good or bad, okay? No judgements, we're all in this together. I know I am eating so so sh*tty, but I am going to pull myself out of this starting Monday. So let us know how you are and if there is anything any of us can do to help ya out!
Charito, I posted all of my stats on the other thread except I will give you a current start weight on Monday morning first thing. The measurements and fitness goals that I posted over there are all okay to use though.
Marie, I hope you are okay! And I think most of us are starting Monday anyway. I have a few parties myself this weekend!
Hi to all the new members. It's nice to have some new enthusiasm!
Sally, great goals. Maybe I should give myself a housework goal too because I have been super lazy lately! My husband would probably go into shock! And good for you for starting to get rid of the smoking!
Well girls, everyone enjoy their weekend and get ready to gear up for a kick butt June!
Mandy

So good to see you back Sally! You can't imagine what was going on here! Sorry But my holiday is making it too difficult for much dieting in June but actually I know it's only June 3rd but i have been really good and in the last 2 days walked 1hour each day plus done 1/2 hour workout at the gym. I'm new to this. I haven't started the diet but will today. I like the support group component. I'm reading about the June challenge. Can someone fill me in. I'm in grad school. Have always been active but have gotten out of my routine of exercise and good eating habits. I wake up study and write and grab unhealthy food choices. I've gained about 10 lbs. this semester and am searching for something to help with the sugar cravings. How is everyone doing. You all sound very positive. ;)

I'm here, guys, joining you for the June challenge. Thanks, Charito, for organising this and motivating us all.
I'm so happy Sally's back! I was just sick to think some cowardly idiot could break up our gang.
I'm sticking to the grapefruit diet. It's not so hard actually, I've been eating bacon and eggs, thai prawn salad, gammon steaks and all sorts of nice things. And lots and lots of grapefruit, obviously. I cheated today - there was an event I had to go to and everyone had to bring a home-baked cake. I made brandy and coffee gateau and I ate a small slice, but just one small slice, and I didn't eat any of the other cakes and I didn't have any wine. Now I'm right back on track following the diet plan, until Wednesday when I'll switch back to diet delish. I'm excited to see if the grapefruit diet has worked. I hope I lose 3 or 4 lbs by my Wedsnesday weigh-in.
|
| foamqueen - 2007-06-03 12:05:43 |
Edit -- My weekly workout pledge is 240 minutes. 30 AM and PMat least 4 days.
Hi. I would like to join in if it's not too late. I want to try this CSD, it sounds better than the one my husband and I did last year.
My info is: Bust = 38 Waist = 32 Hips= 44 Thighs= 24 Calves= 14 Biceps=13 Height 5'2", weight = 159#(!!), age 43(if that is relevant), 1st goal = 150#, 2nd goal = 140#. Then reevaluate. I was at 135 last summer from walking and lots of water and felt great, but now with new blood pressure meds, etc., I haven't felt like doing that, and the #'s snuck back on. (If I look behind me, I'll find them) :)
It's nice to see all of the support here. I'm off to buy cabbage!

Ladies,
As you can see, I gained 3 pounds  I feel so embarrased about this but if we together can beat the extra pounds and reach our goals, all this work is so worth it :)
For you girls that don't know me, this is me, as you see I have lots of work to do with this body, my arms are nasty and overall needs lots of work. So it's not just Diet but I really need to sweat it off.
I would like to take a before and after picture, sometimes this kind of things motivate us, I will see
I will see you guys around :)
Charito.
PS: LADIES, if is there any mistake, please let me know, this is just a scratch paper before I post the last table.

Charito, you look beautiful hun! We will all do this and support each other throughout this! I know we can do it!
My starting weight was 132lbs. My weekly weight loss pledge is 2lbs.
|
| maidofhonor - 2007-06-03 21:46:52 |
OMG, Charito! You are so beautiful! I cannot believe you think you need "a lot of work." I know, we are always hardest on ourselves, but please know that others see you as very, very lovely.
Since you have posted a *before* picture, I would like to also. Please fill me in on how to insert the image in a post. I have a digital picture in .jpg format, but that's about all I know about it. Can anyone help? Sorry for my ignorance on this...
Thanks!
Also, here are the stats you have missing for me: Starting weight: 196 WL Pledge per week: 4 lbs I am confused about the difference between June goal and Final goal. It looks like some of them have the same number in both and others have a lower number in their final goal. My final, real, total BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is 140. So I don't know if that's what you're looking for in there or not...

Hello again Bonitas
Thanks for your very nice compliments but honestly look at my belly and my arms anyway I have 3 Lbs more than the begining of may but believe I feel like if it was much more, I guess sitting the whole day studying is making me sick, but thanks for your nice words bonitas (pretty) :) Yes I am latin and I may use some spanish words in my postings I hope you don't mind?
Just an idea, it would be so nice to know your names or simply just invent one, just to make it more personalized and easy to remember, please?
About posting pictures... To Maidofhonor... Go to www.photobucket.com once there, registry for a free account and then you can start uploading your own pictures, photos, even videos. Hey you've got the wrong measurements for me on the chart!!!!! bust 36" [bra on I'm old lol!] waist 29"[glad we're not measuring in cms it's so much more!] hips 36" thighs 22" [I have fat legs still!] calf 14" bicep 11"

And finally this is what I am aiming for!

PS CHARITO YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!

| Paragon - 2007-06-04 03:48:10 |
Here are my June 1st stats:
Weight = 171lbs Waist = 34inches Bust = 37 inches Biceps = 14 inches Thighs = 25.5 inches Calf = 17 inches
I lost 9lbs in May, which is great! But it all came off my boobs (4 1/2 inches off), I lost either half-an-inch or nothing-at-all from all my other body parts. This is NOT what I was hoping for (my husband isn't very happy about it either). Thank God for push-up bras.
Twilight - Diet Delish is a diet I found on Good Housekeeping website: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/health/ … mmock-0403 It's a varied calorie-counted diet (1300kcals per day) with really tasty food that's quick and easy to prepare and not too expensive. I've had good weight loss with it, and I enjoy the food too.
I alternate it with a stricter diet such as CSD (but that didn't work so well for me) or grapefruit diet.
Grapefruit diet is very low calorie diet a bit like CSD. You eat half a grapefruit or drink a glass of grapefruit juice with every meal. Breakfast is 2 slices bacon and 2 eggs prepared any way you want, even fried in butter if you want. Lunch and dinner are any kind of meat plus salad or veggies, again prepared any way you want. It's a low-carb diet so it's a bit like Atkins. You can find more details here: http://www.grapefruit-diet-plan.org/

Hi Everyone!
I stumbled across this site this morning and would like to join your weight loss challenge for June. My sister's wedding is on July 14th, and at the moment my dress doesn't fit so I need to lose weight...and I think this site will help motivate me. A friend recommended the soup diet, so here goes....I can't start with the soup until tonight as I need to pick up the ingredients on my way home from work.
Here are my stats: Starting weight: 164 WL Pledge per week: 2 lbs WL Goal end of June: 156 Finals Goal: 130 WO Pledge per week: 360 minutes
Bust: 40 (Is this under the breasts or over?) Waist: 34.5 Hips: 41.5 Bicep: 11.25 Thigh: 25 Calf: 13.5
Thanks!! :)

Girls, I will be back tonight, I gotta go to study, this week is gonna be very tough for me, maybe I will need some help . it's monday morning, I wont put anybody else that wasn't in the team before, here the list closes ok.
Have a good 1st day :) Charito.
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-04 07:04:22 |
Okay Charito, here is all my stuff, all at once, so you don't have to flip from page to page and thread to thread to find it!!!
Start weight (Feb 26th) 183.3  Current weight (this morning :( ) 165.4 Goal weight - June 30th 150 Ultimate goal weight 130 :) Weight loss pledge per week: three pounds (but hopefully 4 or 5 this first week to kick start things!)
Exercise pledge: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: Week one - 30 min x five days = 150 minutes Week two - 45 min x five days = 225 minutes Week three and beyond - 60 min x five days = 300 minutes
Measurements: :mad2: Chest - 39" Waist - 38.5" Hips - 40" Biceps - 12" Thighs - 23" Calfs - 14"
That's everything, right?
So, I'm up about five pounds since the wedding (May 12th) and up about 2 from the start of May. :( :mad2: I can't even pretend that I don't know why, because I do. Too much take out, too much alcohol, not enough fruits and veggies. And to steal a phrase from my hubby, Too much "ass time" (sitting on the computer!!!), not enough exercise!!!!
I like the idea of before and after pics too, and I love being able to put faces with names. So, here we go...
This is the absolute worst picture of me ever, but shows the best where I started at. (My hair is undone, raggy clothes, and no makeup cause hubby and I were remodeling our living room. The look on my face says - why are you snapping my picture when you should be on your knees grouting with me?)

This is my best after picture I have. From the wedding I was in on May 12th. I am the one on the right. I was 160.8 pounds that day.

Well Charito you look as gorgeous as ever in your picture and you will be a beautiful bride! And yes, throw some Spanish in every now and then, I think it's great and so "you"!
And Sally, I am amazed every time I see those pictures! Wow girl, what a transformation! :clapping: You give me such hope and inspiration! :worthy:
MaidofHonor and Fiddy, aren't weddings a great motivation? I wish I had another one to look forward to! :)
Paragon, I had to laugh a little at your measurements only because I ALWAYS lose the weight in my chest and butt first and everywhere I need to last! :D And my hubby gets so annoyed with me also! But keep up the good work, nine pounds in May is awesome! :clapping: And I will be anxiously awaiting your results of the grapefruit diet! Do you feel like it is working? And thanks for re posting that diet info!
Well, welcome to all of the new people! :) THere are so many and it won't let me scroll back far enough, so I just wanted to wish you all luck on this journey.
Twilight, how are you? The weekends always seem so long for me because I am working so much and away from my beloved friend (the computer!!!) :D and I hate to be out of touch for so long! How was your weekend? I partied a little too hearty  Friday night at my brother's welcome home BBQ, but what the hell. I missed him like crazy and I hated that he was off fighting that flippin war for so long!!! Poor guy never had a cocktail the whole time he was gone so it only took a few and he was feeling no pain!!! I'm going to have to start the 3dd tomorrow, I never made it to the store over the weekend. But I am still eating healthy today and starting my exercise, and I will start the diet tomorrow. Sorry if that screws you up at all!
Brittany where are you? Please check in, we miss you!
Okay, I've taken up enough space and rambled quite enough! (I'm always embarrassed at how long my posts are!!! ) So everyone have a great day, stay strong and healthy, DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!!! and get the exercise in!

Well I'm starting today! Still not sure if it will be the 3dd or the CSD. I know I said the 3dd but now I'm wondering...this time I do need the entire 7 days with no cheats so I might go back to old faithful! (CSD) and luck for me I like the soup! Okay, I think that will be it, I need a miracle for sure! Charito, I have no changes and as I said you don't have to add me to the chart, I think there are enough people for you to worry about now, but I will still check in here daily, if thats okay? Okay, Sally? Don't be mad that I'm not on the list, I am still here, but the stats are too ugly right now! Wow! Lots of new people! Welcome to you all and good luck on your weight loss journey! Thank you Paragon for posting the different diets! and congrats to you all for your success!

36toGoal wrote:In the midst of all of the excitement of Sally coming back, I just realized that we haven't heard from Brittany in a while.
Thak you so much for realizing I wasnt here lol. Im so sorry girls I know its monday but CHarito honey can I get in on the june challenge. I was out since thursday and had no access to a computer. Again I apoligize for not being here for you all!
Charito, I didnt give my may stats for the same reason but over all I didnt reach my goal of 220 but i did lose a couple inches here and there and a total of 10 pounds so last month at least wasn't a COMPLETE failure. :) Here are my stats for june (if I may join that is).
starting weight:237 Weight: 227 Goal weight:215 long term goal weight:170 pledge weight loss per week: 3lbs Minutes pr week of plege exersize: 100
Bust: 53 Waist: 42 3/4 Biggest part of stomach: 48 Hips: 44 Thigh: 25 Bicep: 13
Mandy, since thursday I have been partying like none other alcohol, lots of fattening foods and no excersize. But i did get to walk about a mile yesterday while at the beach after I ate a ginormous hamburger and onion rings if that counts lol. it wasnt very good considering I do not like beef nor can my body digest it properly (which hurts really bad right now). So i think i have gained all my weight back.
Sally, I am so glad you are back, you are our rock. With out you we fall apart so dont leave us again please. :)
Twlight my friend, HOW THE HECK ARE YA! where did our twhits page go? ;p I missed ya girl. actually Ive missed everyone. I miss the comradery we have on here. I am so gla we I am back and everyone is still here. I am indeed doing the three day diet with you who are. (im not sure who is though, but I am :) )
anyways I have a lot to read still on the board. I will talk to you all soon!

Hi Girls,
I have to be leaving shortly to have an ultrasound done. I have systs on my ovaries and they want to see if they are getting bigger or if they have reduced in size. I have to guzzle down 32 ounces of water and keep it in so they can do the test. I drink a lot of water daily...but don't like to be told to, if you know what I mean.
Charito my stats are as follows;
weight 225 goal weight 160 weekly goal to lose 2-3 lbs
Height 5'8" waist 38" bust 40" hips 45"

Well, I just got a second and I wanted to say, WELCOME BACK BRITTANY!!!! So glad you are back! And if you lost and kept off ten pounds this last month, that's awesome! I think most of us gained or stayed the same, so good for you! I am starting the 3dd tomorrow. My hubby is on the way home with my grapefruit as we speak!!!
Oh, and even if it says you cannot edit the posts, or gives an error message or whatever, it really does edit the post! Weird, huh?
Marie, I hope all goes well for you today! My heart goes out to you, I have had those same kinds of problems and I wouldn't wish it for anyone! Keep us posted, okay?
And Charito, just so you know, I dusted off my treadmill today and did my 30 minutes as promised! And now I want a nap!!
Hope you're all having a good day!

Hello, This is me..

and this is my vice..

any questions? :glare::biggrin:
So that pic is actually of me last year 6 pounds less then I weigh right now. Sorry, its the only one I've got.
charito my pledge of pounds per week I think will be -2lbs and damn you have a gorgouse face (I decided to complament you on something you can't argue!)
36toGoal isn't it like the men to all of a sudden fiddle with electronics when real work has to be done! And look at that.. even in your "bad" photo your peirceing blue eyes are amazing wow
Paragon hahaha I so know the boob thing! oh my god it sucks! You know frankly I'll be honest.. when I go out I'd rather have people look at my boobs then my belly and now that my boobs are shrinking its making my belly look bigger! oh God why do you play these tricks on us!!!...jerk hehehe
Sally hehehe I've had a chair colapse on me too. I went to a resturant by myself so right there I'm already embarrased. I decided to eat on the patio and went to sit down on one of those plastic patio chairs. The whole thing broke!!! Oh my god I was so embarrased... the only thing that I was happy with was before the chair broke I at least changed my order from a big ol hamburger to a ceaser salad. So at least people saw I was trying to change....

Evening ladies, Its fantastic to see everyone sounding so positive and motivated - I think this is going to be a successful month. It must be the rising temperatures that are getting us re-focussed on our goals!!!
I am posting in a hurry tonight and hopefully tommorrow will have time to 'talk' more.
Sally - those are great pictures!! And the one of you now - OMG you are fading away - that suit is hanging off you and you look really well!:clapping:
Mandy that before picture of you grouting really cracks me up every time I see it - I just love the look on your face!:clapping:
Charito, It looks like you have an awful lot of work with this table on top of your academic studies. I wish there was a way of each of us being able to get into a general table and updating it weekly with our details - this would save you a LOT of work - but I have no idea how to go about it. Maybe each of us coul carry an individual table with those stats in our signature section so it appeared every time we post??? Ny the way you look bloomin gorgeous!!!
My stats are: Starting weight 156 lbs Current 146 (not 140 - I wish I were!!) Weighloss goal - 2lbs (at least) Goal for end of June - 134 lbs Exercise - 350 mins Bicep - 11.5 cm Exercise, water, sit ups - all done for today!!:angel::angel::clapping::clapping
Have a great day girls, whatever you are doing!

Hi Everyone! I am starting the CSD tomorrow. I have this thing about starting it on a Monday so I'm starting with the veggies and potato day and acting as if I did the Fruit day already. I would have started it today if I didn't spend all night waiting for take off at JFK. The soup is being cooked right now. If any of you are new to this diet it is the best! I quit smoking 3 months ago and have put on about 15 pounds. This June challenge is exactly what I need! GLad to to have CSD buddies!!
|
| Paragon - 2007-06-04 16:25:59 |
Congratulations, Cabbage Super Queen, on giving up smoking. That must have been tough. If you have enough willpower to beat and addiction like that, I'm sure you'll be able to lose weight sticking to the CSD.
|
| Cabbage Super Queen - 2007-06-04 16:44:02 |
Thanks! I have done the CSD before with amazing results and recommended it to friends who have also been successful. I was really happy to find this site as it sounds like a fun way to keep motivated:P

Girls :(
I am so sorry to say this, but I can't keep up doing the tables and study at the same time, specially now that my exam is so close, a week exactly.
I am asking for help, SINEAD, ROTTINGOAK, SALLY, you girls offered to help, so I am asking for help, after june 12 I will have more time to share with you guys, this exam is making me crazy and I need to practice as many clinical cases as I can. please don't be upset.
Sally, Sinead and Rottingoak, thanks for offering the help, I hope any of you could finish this, all of us will thank you for that :clapping:
To Rottingoak, Sally and Sinead,
Girls, please Help!!!! I need to ask you a big big favor!!!!! I just joined a course for my test on June 12, so I am really busy until that day, but I don't want to fail the team for the June Challenge. After June 12 I will have more time for myself and will be able to post regularly but until that day I am hooked to my books, I am really sorry about this :( Please help me by doing the stats for June? Could you?
What I do is really primitive : - I just do the tables in word - Then I paste it to a new page in Paint program and save it as jpg - Upload it to your Photobucket account - Lastly, just paste it with your posts (pick the IMG code option)
If you want the format I already have, send me an email to: charitodoc@remove-this.hotmail.com THANKS!
Thanks

This is me...actually about 8 pounds ago! Charito, dahling...you want to talk about arms and belly now?? I look 5 months pregnant!

This is the bridesmaid dress I'm wearing this Saturday...mine is a couple sizes bigger than the model's, but hey...I FIT IN MY DRESS, THANK GOD!!

These are the reasons I need to lose weight so I am healthy and sticking around for many years to come...
Everyone, sorry the pictures are so big...that's the next question is how can I reduce the size? Sorry I'm not so savvy on this stuff. But thanks for the info on how to get them pasted here!!
XOXOXO to you all! I am always so jazzed to get on this site and get the motivation I need. Will post more later, but I must run to a dinner function for work. (Don't worry...it's the right night to be doing this. Day 6 and I'm going to a steak place with a huge salad bar. Perfect, right?! Can't wait!) Jennifer

Ok that is to the pain in the neck who is still at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we will be naming and shaming you in whatever name you are using soon!!
OK now back to my friends, now for those of us that need inspiration at the moment to get back on track go back and re-read the threads where you succeeded with losing weight maybe for some on the May thread! Read and remember how happy you felt when you weighed in and you'd lost!!! Now several of us have not done so well since and the off diet time has been long enough and we all are in need of that good feeling we get from losing weight again! We are not going to do that if we all keep on cheating so I think it is strict diet time again to give us another boost. I'm doing CSD for one week and am looking forward to the 4lbs at least loss I will have at the end of this week and we need to remember it is only 7 days!!!!! OK I'm going to get started on the chart my task for the day to stop me eating off diet lol! WOW IT'S HARD I THINK I'LL WAIT UNTIL I GET THE FORMAT FROM CHARITO!! I'VE GOT ALL THE INFO SORTED AND READY THOUGH THAT TOOK AN HOUR!

|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-05 04:42:11 |
Okay Sally, another positive point for you to negate that jerk! Forget him/her, obviously they have absolutely no life!
And bless you for taking on that chart! :clapping: My eyes were starting to go a little crazy just looking at it!
Charito, don't worry about it! Your exams are #1 right now! You get through them and then you'll be able to fully concentrate on getting ready for your wedding!
Beachykeen, thanks about the eyes....at least I always still have them, they don't get fat! :D And great pic, looks like you're a lot of fun, and we have the same vices! I think a lot of us do on here!
MaidofHonor, I cannot figure out how to reduce the size of the pics either! I was embarrassed on one of the other threads I posted 4 pictures in a row and it seemed to take up a whole page! But don't worry about it, we all love the pics! Anyways, I love the dress, simple yet beautiful, and I'm sure that you will be beautiful in it! Make sure you post wedding pics when you get them! And your boys are adorable! I'll have to see if I can find a good picture of mine to post. But mine are past that young and cute phase and onto the "OMG somebody please stop them from growing up!" stage.
And speaking of them, time to get them off to school. More later... Mandy

Okay, this is the most recent pic of my boys that I can find on my computer right now. My oldest is wearing the gray Sabres hoodie and my youngest is in the blue Sabres t-shirt. The others are my nephews. My boys are ages 12 and 14 and they are my reasons for wanting to lose weight to be healthy and live a long life!

Aren't some of you from California? My oldest son is a HUGE Anaheim Ducks fan -- can't figure out where he got that from because we are all die hard Sabres fans! -- and he is in his glory right now with the Ducks only one game away from the Cup! Sometimes I'm a little relieved that the Sabres didn't make it to the finals because it would've been a pretty bitter battle in our house! But right now we are all just glad to see the Ducks rolling over Ottawa!
In this picture my husband is the one on the left. My sister is in the middle and brother -in-law is on the right. My husband is why I want to lose weight for all of the most vain reasons!!! ;)

And I have a few questions for people who have done or know about the 3 day diet.
First, when Charito first posted the 3dd, it showed 30 minutes of exercise first thing in the morning, before breakfast. Is that really necessary to do it right when you wake up? That's a hard time of day for me.
Second, is it really important to drink the coffee WITH the meals? I like my coffee the very first thing in the AM, before my eyes are even open. But I don't like to eat immediately when I wake up, it makes me a little sick!
Okay, last question, when I did this before I had a really hard time eating all of that food at dinner all at once. Does anyone know if I could split it and do like the fruit and ice cream an hour or two later? We eat dinner early anyways, like 4 or 5, so I would be having the fruit and ice cream around 7.
Last time I did this I lost like 2 1/2 pounds in the 3 days, without exercise and under a lot of stress. The last day I didn't even eat most of the things I was supposed to because I was so busy! But I'm wondering if I would've lost more if I had done it differently. Anybody have any ideas?
Well, I'm off for my grapefruit and peanut butter toast! Hope everyone is having a great morning! Or afternoon (Sally)!
Mandy

Oh Sally, thank you for doing this. Sorry :( I was really busy with my essay last night.. it's due today. Anyway, good for you for ignoring that jerk. Show him/her you're the boss.
My starting weight in May was 132, and my weight loss weekly pledge is 2 lbs, I plan to workout 50 minutes a day, five times a week for a total 250 minutes a week.
Mandy, let us know how the grapefruit diet works out for you.

Hi Sally,
Thanks so much for doing the chart for Charito. It looks like quiet a bit to keep up with.
Here is some more information for my 'blanks'... Goal for June weight loss, 10 pounds. Exercise... 5-7 hours a week Jazzercise, Cardio kickboxing, or walking. I have been doing this already for the last 6 weeks. I haven't really lost any weight, but I know that i have firmed up quiet a bit.
Good luck to everyone and have a good day. Marie'

Sally, you are such a champ for doing that! Fabulous job!
Rottingoak, I am doing the 3 day diet. Day one breakfast is a 1/2 grapefruit and peanut butter toast! (Which was delicious by the way!!!) I will let you know how it goes, though. And I think Paragon is testing out the grapefruit diet and I am anxious to hear her results on that one too!
Marie, how did everything go with the DR. yesterday? Are you okay?
Twilight, WAKE UP! Just kidding.... It must be like 5:30 in the morning where you are right now. Just wondered how your day went yesterday. I did good all the way up till dinner when I gave in and ate a cheeseburger. :( But I hadn't had much else all day but All Bran and fruit and veggies and I ended up losing half a pound so not a total loss.
Okay, off to the treadmill!

start weight 188lbs WL pledge per week = 2lbs WL goal by end of June = 164lbs WO pledge per week = 90mins
I'm on my last day of grapefruit diet. I've just been out shopping for all my diet delish ingredients for next week. I'm dying to weigh in tomorrow morning and see if it's been successful.

Mind you at least they've both left school now so we don't have that problem anymore! The school used to ring and I'd say 'Oh no which one is it today?' lol!
Re the 3DD Mandy when I changed it about I didn't lose weight but the 2 times I was strict I lost 3 then 2lbs.
I'm doing well on day 1 CSD here whooo hooo!

Oh no Sally, only the two biggest ones are mine! That's about all I can handle! The other three are my sister in laws kids!!! Wow, I think I have a headache just thinking about five kids! God bless anyone who can handle that, but I know my limits!
And I am so sorry about your house! You've had such a hard time!
|
| twilight - 2007-06-05 08:32:52 |
Wow, so much to catch up on! Sally, I know you'll keep bugging me, and you are working so hard at this and this month is going to a great success for all of us I think so if you must: starting weight: 165 weight today: 163 Measurements: same 100 minutes per week workout for now But if it's a hassel, don't add me, I am still here loud and clear!
FIRST DAY DOWN WITHOUT A HITCH!! Yes I'm on day 2 of the original CSD! I swear that first day is the worst!! I had to go to bed at 7:30 pm and watch tv in bed just to be away from the kitchen and all the temptations, but I did it! and for inspiration I watched the TV shows: Celebrity Fit Club and "Big Medicine"! I'll tell you these people weigh 600 pounds, have a "Gastric Bypass" and are expected to loose at least half their original weight and the doctors expect them to lose only 20 pounds the first month and 10 pds. per month after that, and they weigh 600 pounds!! So don't expect to lose 10 pounds a month and be bummed out when you don't because you do not have as much luggage! Okay guys??
Sally, I really think the negative points are just errors, that's crazy. Anyway you could double your negatives and subtract them from yor positives and STILL have more positives than anyone in the history of CSD!! I really believe it was a mistake...anyone could accidently have clicked on it without knowing what they were doing, there are so many new people here and are just learning their way around the site and probably didn't even realize it happened!
and the rest of you, you're all doing great and i LOVE the pictures!! keep posting them! You are all beautiful and your childern are adorable, so never apologize for the size or anything! Remember...we already decided this forum is about friendships and life, we just ALL are fighting for the same thing and we all need the commaderie and want to share in each others lives! The small talk and "Non-diet" talk is really what gets us through the days, we already KNOW we need to loose weight and are all a bit obcessed with it so the personal things are such a nice addition! Thanks for sharing! ;)
p.s. Maidofhonor...I LOVE that dress! You will actually be able to wear it again! Not a puffy, pink number at all! Very cool! Have a great time, and your boys are adorable!!
|

Sally darling you did a fab job on the chart....but I think you have my June measurements under your name! My May and June measurements are the same except my June waist measurement was 38.5. And I know you are much smaller than me!
I am having a struggle today. It is cold and dark out again, rain on and off. I did make it to the store to buy my stuff though and have made it through two meals so far. But this weather is making me feel so tired and dragging. And like I want to EAT! And my treadmill broke. It sounded funny yesterday and today it just plain died.
Anyways, good luck to everyone with the rest of their day!
Mandy

Sally,
Thanks for doing the tables :worthy: I was really getting nuts with all those numbers. That's why I was mentioning that it would be better to split in groups, it would be great to have a challenge between teams, Isn't it very tough to keep up with all the names and numbers. I got sick  and gave up, beside I need time for myself right now.
I feel embarrased though about all this, but there are times in life when we need to focus just on ourselves, and other times when we are so ready to do everything for everybody, I love helping but I am just overwhelming whti everything happening around me, the wedding, trying to lose weight and failing myself, selling the house, the tests, it's too much.
I really think that we should form many teams; a weightloss team should not be bigger than 6 persons, If it's too much people, makes it to hard to be able to catch up and support everyone. I hope somebody listen :( Don't want to be rude it's just more practical I think.
Talking about Focusing on myself: I am going to start my own Bridal Weightloss Journal , Today I realize that I barely have more than 3 months  and in such a short time I need to lose at least 25Lbs :cold: I was looking for weightloss tools, I found a "Bridal bootcamp", it is ridiculously expensive $1500 for 2 weeks, so hubby told me if I think I really need that? At the end no matter how much I spend if I will never learn to control my own life. So seriously I decided to do this on my own.
I better do a great plan and start my weightloss program, Hubby is really serious about helping so he asked me to come up with a plan, I will figure out something.
See you around guys!!!

That's it no more phew!!! Charito how have you been doing this all this time? That picture is just so funny!
Lol! Mandy trust me to get myself wrong!!
My good news hubby has booked us a holiday to Spain at the end of June cos we are so bummed off by the house falling through again!!! [1st holiday with no kids yesssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!] So bikini time is here again which gives me incentive to lose those last few pounds! And wow last year I felt such a blob on the beach but this year I'm going to be well proud! The beach is only just a walk down the road from me here in the UK but brrrrrrrrr never in this country too cold!
I agree there are so many of us now so teams of 6 maybe next month would be a better idea. I think it is a bit hard for some people to keep up with so many people at once re progress and they can lose track and be a little overwhelmed especially if they can only get on for a bit once a day!
It's fine for computer addicts like Twilight, Mandy and me but we are just the post addicts [in case you hadn't noticed lol!] but I think it is not the same for everyone probably [I'm trying to be so diplomatic here lol!]. If we maybe form teams next month we can challenge one another to add a bit of a competition we could call the teams different names and have a team of the week, dieter of the week and all that? Or is all this a silly idea? I don't know any ideas anyone so we can discuss?
You can tell I'm a b***** teacher lol!

Cheerio then for now I'll be back lol!

| Paragon - 2007-06-06 02:51:32 |
Sal, could you add these figures to your table please?
start weight 188lbs WL pledge per week = 2lbs WL goal by end of June = 164lbs WO pledge per week = 90mins
I'm not doing very well so far. I weighed myself after one week of Grapefruit Diet and I gained one pound. I only cheated once and ate a very small slice of cake. But I think maybe I lost so much weight last week (5 pounds) that the loss was an abnormal fluctutation, and this week's gain was really a loss just covered up by the weird "dip"
If I look at the last two weeks together I lost 4 pounds in two weeks, which is exactly the weight-loss I am aiming for.
I'm back on diet delish for a week, then I'll give Grapefruit Diet another go. If I gain again, or lose less than 2 lbs, I won't bother doing Grapefruit again but will look for another quick weight-loss diet. But if I lose 2 or more pounds on it next time I'll just forget about this past week as an aberration.

Charito, you take care of you and don't feel bad for it or apologize for it! You have so much going on in your life right now, it is okay to let others help you! That is what we are all here for.
And since you and Sally have already put the work into the June chart, I think it is probably best to leave it? But I think for July there should definitely be teams of maybe 6 or 8, depending on how many people are interested and the way that it will divide out. And yes, I think it would be fun and challenging to compete with other teams! Great ideas, I love the dieter of the week/team of the week thing. I think we should plan on it now and have a cut off date for signing up. And people who want to sign up after that date can be put on a list for the next challenge, so in this case they'd miss July but already be signed up for August. What do you think? Not that we want people to feel left out, or hurt anyone's feelings, but if we are already divided into equal teams it will be hard to put new people in without throwing the balance off.
Okay, at this point I would like to say, I have a degree in Accounting and worked for a firm for years and did corporate taxes, etc. which is why I am always all about the numbers, keeping things in balance, dividing equally, etc.! I gave it up because a lot like Twilight my hubby said if I took care of the house and kids and was careful with the money, I could! I loved my job, but hated the hours that it kept me away from my family. Maybe some day I'll go back to it but right now I am content with my weekend bartending job.
Anyways, Sally good for you about your holiday! You certainly deserve it! But, one question. Will you be taking a laptop computer with you?!? How will we keep in touch!!!
Paragon, what diet did you do the week before that you lost the five pounds with? I'm sorry, you probably have already said somewhere, but I forgot! Well, four pounds in two weeks is great, so keep at it!
Well, I made it through the first day of the 3dd without a hitch. Well, I was hungry between lunch and dinner and I don't remember that from last time. But last time I did it I went right from csd to 3dd with no break. And I think I was used to eating less food. This time I went from completely pigging out to the 3dd. But, I don't mind this diet. I love looking forward to that ice cream at the end of the night. Last night I cut my apple up in bite size pieces and then sprinkled cinnamin on it and then put the ice cream on top. Completely delicious!
The only downside I am having is the exercise. My treadmill broke yesterday and I don't really have anything else around that I can do. We live in the country...no sidewalks, nearest neighbor is almost a mile down on the one side, not exactly the safest place to go take a walk or a jog. I guess I will have to go buy a DVD or something. In the meantime, yesterday I went up and down my basement stairs till my legs felt like jell-o, and I did some crunches. Any other ideas for home workouts with no equipment and no video??
Okay, enough rambling for me for now. Everyone have a great day!
Mandy

Charito, Sally, I totally agree with splitting the teams in groups. I was looking at the stats and trying to put it together a few days ago.. but then I said forget it, I gotta work on my essay that's due tomorrow.. lol.. sry! I also love the idea of competition between the teams. It just makes everybody work that much harder! Maybe we can even split it up Week 2? Since we're keeping track every week right? I can do a mini web site of different team's progress (and their members) if it helps to organise things and keep us oriented in our goals.
Sally, yay, you're going on a vacation!! You'll have so much fun but don't forget to eat sensibly :P I'll be waiting for your e-mail. :)
Paragon, I am sorry to hear about the grapefruit diet. The diet I'm currently on is 5-factor diet. (Gosh, I feel like I'm advertising for them or something) I don't know if you would consider it a quick weight loss diet cause I've been on it for 3 weeks, and I have lost about 4lbs.. I know I've lost a lot more though cause I gained some muscle (my friend noticed my upper arm being a lot leaner) and the fat on my stomach is shredding off pretty fast. I have posted 2 days of the diet in another thread.. I will finish typing it up for 1 week today/tomorrow if you're interested.
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-06 05:33:28 |
Rottingoak, I am completely interested in the 5 factor diet. After a few of these "quick fixes" I totally want to find something that can be more of a lifestyle change. Because I just have to be realistic with myself....the cabbage soup and 3dd is great and all, but not a for the rest of my life kind of great, ya know?
Anyways, I am looking forward to that , so thanks!

| MARIEL5 - 2007-06-06 07:23:20 |
Hi Girls,
I am doing pretty good today. I just read all of your posts from the last time I posted...which, I believe was yesterday morning.
36toGoal ( Mandy ) I am doing alright. I had the ultrasound on Monday ( external and internal). I should have some answers either some time today or tomorrow. I am just a bit nervous with it all.
Girls... I am one of those who have 5 kids, 4 boys and the baby, 11 year old, is a girl. I work from home part of the week and out of our office the other half. It is a lot of work, but worth it.
I did my Cardio Kickboxing class last night and the night before that was Jazzercise for 60 minutes. I have a total of 120 minutes work out so far. Will see what tonight brings.
I think teams sound like so much fun. Let's do it whenever we complete this challenge. Great idea.
Take care...got to get to work.
God bless, Marie':bounce:

| maidofhonor - 2007-06-06 08:34:42 |
LOVE the teams idea. That would be a great motivator!!
Mandy, good idea to have a cut-off and get prepared for it now. Oh, and I think your homemade "stairmaster" is genius! You don't need anything else!
Rottingoak, if you did a mini website, that would be really terrific. You are the techy of the group, aren't you?!
Sally, I am soooooo jealous of you going on your trip!! But it will be great fun for you. Oh, the missing numbers for me are: 4-lb/wk WL pledge and 150 minutes of workout per week pledge. thx!
Paragon, don't fret about the 4 pounds in two weeks. That is absolutely more realistic and probably sustainable than 10 pounds in a week. (Although, I must say I was disappointed myself to step on the scale this morning on day 8 of CSD...only a 3-pound loss after virtually no cheating---just coffee each morning and dressing on a salad one day.) But it's likely three pounds that I can keep off. That's what I am telling myself. It's hardly realistic to expect to maintain a huge loss in one week, and then you're just discouraged to gain some of it back the next week.
Marie, I have just gained a whole new respect for you. Five kids, my goodness! Bless you!! Hope your test results are good news.
Better run for now... Jennifer

Mandy: I just typed up week 1 of week 5 of the diet, the ingredience, instructions, exercises. After you work with it for a little, you'll know exactly what you should be eating, which is totally great.
Maidofhonor: I'm thinking of doing a little geocities type of site with everyone's progress, pics etc. so everything would be on one page instead of scrolling back and forth on this forum. It'll be kinda like a little progress/journal for us in the forum. I don't know, I'm a bit of an organised freak (even though my room is a complete mess). I like everything .. there, you know? I think it'll also be a great motivation for other people as well, when we all see how far we've come. I go an art school majoring in design, so we do this kind of stuff :)

I feel so badly because all this chart business really IS too much work for one person! The thing is there are so many new people everyday, and you have to say no, but the new people seem to be so enthusiastic and we need that! Maybe we could just do something basic like we each type out our own thing, like in the beginng of the month do a posting with our individual stats, what we want to acheive that month, and update our individual post each week. Everyday we can account for the exercise we've done, what diet we are on or when we are "off", and see at the end of the month how each of us did. Then no ONE person is responsible for charting EVERYONES progress, we are only responsible for ourselves! It could be like a "journal" but available for all of us to view and we would each comment to and encourage each other? Just a thought....I just hate to be a burden to anyone else, and with so many people "coming and going" all the time, I really don't know how everything can be kept track of. We are adults and can be responsible for ourselves. Anyway, everyone does sound really motivated and that is great! I know I am, and though these first couple of days back on the csd have not been easy, I have been true to it and feel so much better about myself this week than I did last week! Thanks to all of you fantastic friends for helping me and everyone else in this difficult endeavor!! Have a wonderday day!!

Oh my I leave for one day and come back to more new posts than the entire weekend. Jeesh, well girls I have to go to work so that means I wont be on until tonight. TOday is day one of the three day diet for me. I totally screwed up the first two days so Im starting from fresh now again. I have most of the stuff ready justn eed to keep going with it. I didnt have time to read all the posts and right now im short on time to reply to post, so you might get like a mile long post from me later tonight!
Sally I noticed that you didnt have certain things for me, I was pretty sure I had those on my list sorry.
My calf is 16 and I pledge 100 minutes of workout a week :).
Anyways girls I really do have to run. I dripping wet from the shower lol. I just wanted to let you all know whats going on with me. Ill talk to you all later and remember stay strong and dont let temptation in ( i did and now Im so nauseated bluch!)

Okay, i started on that mini-web site I was talking about earlier.
www.geocities.com/wl_members
It's really simple but I just did two members (I found their information easily). Do you girls want me to continue? I see a point in this but if you ladies don't, I don't want to waste my time.
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-06 11:07:52 |
Rottingoak, that is very cool. And thank you, it is even more noticeable when you put those pics side by side like that!! I definitely see your point with it, I think it might simplify things too. Count me in. Oh, except my waist measurement is off. But I know you were just doing it quick. I wish my waist was 28.5, but no, it is 38.5! Maybe I am measuring wrong, I've wondered that....I have jeans that say they are a 32 waist....I guess it's just the cursed way I carry weight.
Gotta run, AGAIN!, I feel like I've been running all day! Talk to you girls tomorrow, Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!
|
| salamanda - 2007-06-06 11:40:39 |
Rottingoak that looks good to me and a handy reference for people to put faces to names and all that in one place cos it is so hard at times to scroll back through posts to find info etc. Thankyou for the hard work you have put in and I think it's a great idea! It will also save us repeating info we have previously posted for new people that may want to know and we can just get on with chatting and supporting each other on the threads.
|
| rottingoak - 2007-06-06 12:02:52 |
Okay :)
I will put more members name on it tomorrow morning. I will start with the regulars.
Mandy, I fixed your stats, sorry hun. Please check to see I have everybody's information correctly when i do post tomorrow. If you do not want to be on the list, please let me know.
|
| twilight - 2007-06-06 12:03:24 |
I JUST GOT INTO IT AND IT IS EXCELLENT! WHAT A PRO YOU ARE! Good Job Rottingoak! :clapping::first:
so it looks like I neglected to enter my pounds per week goal...let's make it 3!
|
| maidofhonor - 2007-06-06 12:07:20 |
Rottingoak, I just had to give you a + for that! I love it. I like that you put the real name in parentheses behind the screen name. I get corn-fused sometimes, so that helps.
And pics are always good!
See ya!
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-06 12:47:56 |
Okay, real quick...
Marie, good luck with your test results, you will be in my prayers.
Brittany, glad you checked in, I was starting to get worried about you! Good luck with your day one, I like that day much better than day two. But I have a party to go to on the 15th and am running out of days so I'll stick to it!
Twilight, sorry to hear you are struggling with csd, but I'm glad you are sticking with it! Just think how much better you will feel and look at the end of your seven days!
Charito, how are you doing today? Staying healthy? Drinking your water? Lots of studying? I hope you are taking care of yourself! And I forgot to say before, love that pic of the bride falling into the cake! That's how I felt on my wedding day. :( I never followed through and did what I needed to before my wedding and it is to this day one of my biggest regrets. So good for you for taking care of yourself and getting in your best shape so you can be your most beautiful you for your special day!
Sally, I'm confused what plan you are on! CSD, right? Well, I hope it is going well for you!
Everyone else, hope you are all having a great day and staying on plan! See ya tomorrow!
Mandy

Rottingoak, I love what you've done. Please include me! My real name is Dianna and I'll post some pictures when I get home!! Thanks so much to you and all the gals/guys on here...it's sure helping me stick to my diet.

Well hi all well I was on CSD day 3 but I ran out of soup as I only made a small batch and had few veggies in the house. I have been so busy in the house and have had 2 viewings and estate agents so didn't get a chance to go out. I have instead calorie counted and am doing under 1000 calories today so that's OK.

Good Princess Di programme on tonight as I never thought it was an accident!
What with that and Big Brother the telly [another addiction of mine lol!] is good for once!
Mariel 5 chidren phew! I take my hat off to you! Hope your results are OK.

Charito I hope everything is OK with you.

Rottingoak you're a star!
OK will do twilight and glad to hear your sticking to CSD and no problem I'm sure in you switching banana day for day 3 again it's less calories anyway so probably better if anything.
Brittany I'll sort all edits soon sorry it made me brain dead sorting it all out from everybody.
I've got to work Thursday and Friday so may be on a bit less myself. Phew you all say lol!
OK I'm going back to my telly now lol!

Hey yall
I just wanted to stop by and say hello and see how everyone is doing. :bounce:
I am looking forward to day 4 since i love milk and bannanas, but i fear the calories. I guess if the diet says so, then i will do it.
so far i am doing pretty good with day 3 today. I havent been hungry as much but then again i am stuffing my face like crazy with veggies and fruit :D
Dont yall ever feel like this:

This ones for all yall

Have a great day

| rottingoak - 2007-06-06 16:35:13 |
Sally: How did the viewing go? I hope it went well! Also, the 5-factor diet I posted, it tells you how to cook it :P it's quite simple really. and do you still need help with the weekly table stats?
I hope everyone is having a great start for this month. I know I'm really excited to see the end results of my diet.
A final note about the website: www.geocities.com/wl_members wl=weight lose I just updated a list of frequent members I see posting ever so often. The pages are empty, I will work on them throughout the next couple of days. If you'd like your name added please send me a pm (private message) with the information I have on Sally. If you'd like to be removed, send me a pm as well. I will privately pm members for their information so this thread doesn't become an information gathering thread. :) We need all the support we can give and get! I'm thinking the weights can be biweekly updated and measurements updated monthly.
Let June be the month we reach our goals! or at least getting close to our goals!

Hello Everyone - Just so you know my real name is Jill.:P I just got back from Winners - worlds best store for women!! All those discount designer and just plain funky clothes are so motivating! I think I might have to make a trip once a week to keep me on track. Tomorrow is banana day for me and I am trying to think up a fab recipe that only has banana and milk in it.....:/ Hope all is well with you girls!
|
| whittnie116 - 2007-06-06 19:06:50 |
i went to that geocities thing and im on your list but how do i get my measurements up? Im confused. lol

| fiddy - 2007-06-07 05:06:09 |
Well, I don't know if we're supposed to wait until the end of the week to weigh ourselves, but I couldn't wait (yes, I'm impatient, lol!) so I weighed in this morning....started at 164 and weighed in today at 159.4 :D What a great motivator to keep going. Thanks for everyone's support....it sure makes the diet process that much easier!!
|
| rottingoak - 2007-06-07 05:11:59 |
wow congrads Dianna! It really is a great motivation isn't it?
How's everyone else doing today? Charito? Sally? Mandy? Britney? Twilight? and others?
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-07 05:52:54 |
Well, congrats Dianna! That is great! My next mini goal is to get past that 160 mark too, I want that scale to say 15anything!
Brittany, I don't know if somebody already told you, if they did I am sorry for repeating it, but to get your stats on the geocities page, send a private message to rottingoak. Then you can also send her pics I think or a weight loss ticker, whatever you want, and it can all be put on your page!
Sally, good for you for finding another alternative when you ran out of soup and staying healthy! I hope your viewings go well, hopefully the house will be sold and you will be on your way to Wales real quick! And I will never forget when Princess Di was killed, heartbreaking! My sister and I stayed up watching her funeral all night long. I was never sold on the accident thing either! Well, hope you had a good night with your shows!
MissPinkMeow, I LOVE that "To My Girls" thing you posted! It would fit right in on the Party Girl Diet thread, too! Glad to hear you are hanging in there! Keep up the good work!
Jill, Do you live in the states? I live in NY and have never heard of Winners, but sounds like my kind of store!
Rottingoak, I am hanging in there, thanks for checking! On day three of the 3dd and really looking forward to weighing in tomorrow! Thanks again for all of your hard work with the web site and for typing out all of the 5 factor info! I think I will start some of those exercises today, since my treadmill is broken and I am not living up to my work out pledge!
Charito, are you hanging in there honey? I know you are so busy, but try to jump on and let us know that you are doing okay!
Twilight, what was the verdict with day four? If I ever do csd again, which I should, I felt better, I think I would do day three for the third, fourth, and seventh day! I hated brown rice, yuck. And I like bananas and skim milk but I think I gained that day too and I was kind of hungry that day. Let us know how it all works out!
To Everyone Else, Hope you are having a great day, and a great week! Those who started Monday must be thrilled to be at the half way point today! Keep up the good work, your almost to the end!
Well, I'll check in with you guys later!
Mandy
PS Did anyone else have trouble with this site yesterday? Let's see, I think it was about 3:00 in the afternoon East coast time. Wouldn't let me access any of the threads or my messages or anything!

Hiya Gang

Rottingoak no go yet with the house but we have other viewings booked so fingers crossed and all that!

Misspinkmeow I have to say that day 4 is my favourite too and by far the easiest for me.

Dianna that is brilliant that should sure be enough motivation to keep going to the end!

Charito you are very quiet my dear but I know that means you are studying hard. Not long to go now darling then you can have a rest from studying for a bit and get back to the diet and fitness again! I now know how much work it took for you to get all the facts and figures together to do those charts phew! I know mine aren'tas pretty as yours were but I did my best!

Mandy so you have a pool already you lucky thing that's what we really want with the new house and preferably indoor cos of our weather! During my dieting every 10 number was to me a major hurdle to get over and it was every time a hard barrier to cross but when I did it was whhhooo hoooo! Wow Diana I sobbed my heart out for days after I'm deffo with the conspiracy theories on it.
Yes the web site was definately strange last night and went down I was thinking oh no last time this happened everything posted was lost and it had to start again from scratch apparently. Thank godness that didn't happen and it seems to be fine now thank goodness!
Jill take a look on the recipe section there are lots of yummy day 4 recipes on there.
Brittany yes as Mandy said you PM your stuff to rottingoak I think only she will be able to edit the site.
Twilight are you doing day 3 again for day 4 in the end then. You've done well good so far mate getting back on track well done!
Hope everybody elses day is going well!

Hey Gals,
I hope everyone is having a good day so far.
36toGoal, I haven't gotten the test results back yet. I should have an answer this afternoon. I am a bit anxious.
Yes.... raising 5 kids is deffinately a challenge, especially when they are all in activities. I don't know what I would do with out my hubby to help. I know that I do most of the nurturing and running to the Doctor and most events, but he is a good source of help. Thank you for all your kudos.
Rottingoak thank you for putting us on that website. I will try to get a picture or two to you so that you can post it there.
Girls have a Bless day... I need to get busy and work.
Talk to you later. Marie'

Ok so my day one didnt go as planned so I am repeating day one again for the three day diet. I suck lol. Im going to the store tonight and I am buying the stuff for the CSD i am going to start tomorrow i think. I just cant keep falling back into ruts its getting to the point that I KNOW i gained most of the weight back I had lost. It kinda sucks (not kinda, really). I think I am just not motivated anymore and I dont know why, maybe because I am going through my monthly's. I also want to get one of those seaweed wraps and see if that will help with the built up toxins that are in the skin? what do you think?
THanks Sally and Mandy for letting me know how to do that. I will email rottingoak tonight with my stats.
Sally, I was looking at your site in rottingoaks and OMG only 5 pounds to go!!!! Im so proud of you! Way to go! And your totally crazy for liking day 4 yucky I am just going to repeat day three and add a banana and some skim milk (maybe as a type of cereal with some splenda).
Congrats fiddy on the pound loss it really is a great motivator. I had the same kind of results though mine didnt show up until day 5.
Anyways girls I should be back on later tonight I had a hard time getting on last night it wouldnt let me go to anypages :/ . Ill be able to read more posts and comment. I need to get back to you girls like I was before, you know the brittany that posted like 80 posts a week? It was such a great time and easier for me to keep away from the food. Im gonna go through the fridge of everything fattening and throw it away and maybe that will help some you know have not want not? Make my soup and then prep a big fruit salad for tomorrow. My husband is going to hate me last time i spent like 200 dollars on the week, lol. But if I see the same results it would be worth it! Maybe i can get down to under 220? THat would be great for one week so I will aim at another 9 pound loss! and seeing as my goal is 215 by the end of this month I must do that!
anyways I must really go now I just keep talking :P . Have a wonderful day girls. Ill be back soon.
Brittany

Brittany: I sent you a pm yesterday but I updated some stats for you already. I would appreciate it if you can fill in the blanks for me. I tried looking through all the threads but had trouble. You don't suck  dieting during periods are the hardest! You're always hungry since you're metabolism is a lot faster. I can send you something fun for periods later if you'd like. You'll have a great laugh :) Regarding the seaweed wrap, I've heard mixed reviews, a friend of mine tried it and she lost some weight but my sister-in-law tried it and she didn't lose anything. If you do decide to try it, please let us know how it goes!
Mandy: let me know how the weigh in goes. I'm so tempted to measure myself again, take after pics even though I still have 2 more weeks to go on the diet. I think I need to move around more though -- after my morning workout, I just sit flat on the chair for the rest of the day. :(
And for the website, if anyone like to help me update it, I can give you the password :). You don't need much html skills, just copy and paste the pages already made and change the names, stats, etc.

Well, I don't have a lot of time but I just wanted to say, Brittany hang in there honey! And don't worry, you don't suck! It is extremely hard to diet....if it wasn't we wouldn't all be here! If cabbage soup works best for you than just do it and don't worry about the money or anything else! Just do what you need to do to feel healthy and feel better about yourself, okay? And I don't know anything about the seaweed wraps other than things I've read here and there. But let us know how you make out if you decide to try it! And just keep checking in here no matter what! It definitely helps!
Sally, your posts are just so entertaining! And I am that same type of girl! That is too funny. Yes we have a pool, brand new this year and hubby just finished building our deck last weekend. I can literally walk out my door and jump in (he connected it to the house). So I feel pretty lucky, now we just need the weather to cooperate! I wish we could have an indoor pool, but not in the cards for us right now.
Marie, I am sure your test results will be fine! I will keep you in my prayers.
rottingoak, you all will be the first to know! Hopefully the results will be good. It's dangerous going into the weekend as it is, let alone going into the weekend in a bad state of mind!!! And I have three weddings to work this weekend so that's a lot of food to resist!
Everyone have a good rest of the day and I'll be back in the morning with the 3dd results!
Mandy

Hey all
Oh by the way my name is Sunny
Charito hang in there girl finals are almost over :P I give props to you getting the study on and fighting the study munchies. Once you make it past finals you'll feel a huge weight off your shoulders. Hang in there.
36togo: WHOOOO HOOOO!!!! DUCKS WON!!!! :first: Give your son a high five for me!! Lemme tell you I was so good and didn't go to a bar to watch the game.
Brittany: Let me know if that seaweed wrap works. I was thinking about getting it done too. My aunts roomie is a massage tharepist and I keep trying to get her to use me as a guine pig for wraps n stuff
twilight: I think I remember you saying you didn't like day 4 or 7. I don't know if this would work but why dont you just do 1,2,3,5,6 M-F. And on the weekend eat cabbage soup eat sensibly and drink responsibly. hehehe
Day 4 Fans: I'm right there with you. I could drink a whole gallon of milk if I wanted.
now my debate.. I only lost 3 lbs off this diet.. should I continue another round or should I just eat sensibly for a while.
|
| salamanda - 2007-06-07 14:24:11 |
Sunny I would take a few days off first and eat sensibly but have a drink or two for me please lol!

I might as well diet at the moment cos I'm on antibiotics so can't drink!!! What a bummer! Mind you food is never the problem when off diet it's the alcohol lol!

3lb is a loss so be happy at that I know it's a bit of a bummer when you were expecting more, you have my sympathy! Still it is better than nothing think in terms of 3lbs of butter lost from your body and then realise it is actually a lot of fat! There also may be a delay in your scales showing the weight loss and you may well find that in the next couple of days you have lost more that has happened to me a couple of times!

| twilight - 2007-06-07 14:33:09 |
Wow! It's a lot of reading to catch up with everything so I hope I don' miss anything! So today is my fourth day of the CSD and so far I am just doing day 2 over since I haven't had fruit yet, but probably will. Your idea for the 5 day is a good one, actually I could live without the protein even and save meat for the weekends and maybe try to do the first 3 days during the week. Who knows, I am so indecisive when I have to make up my mind on stuff, you wonder how I've gotten through life at all! If you have plans this weekend or are wanting to party a little, maybe eat sensibly and drink and have fun and just do it again on Monday? Unless you are really in the groove and don't want to stop your momentum, then keep going! I think we ALL need a break and if we never did then what would become of the "Party Girls" Thread???!! I think with our combined effort we can come up with something we can live with like 5 days of it and no pigging out on the weekends, just being able to go out and maybe order a huge salad with the ff dressing on the side and wine or light beer instead of burgers, fries and ice cream drinks?? We can discuss our plan of attack on the Party Girl thread, orry for rambling! Brittany, if your husband was pissed about spending $200 for food, do you think he'll be cool about the wrap? There are so many things out there that claim to be miracles but come on guys, we know there isn't really. We just need to take in fewer calories than we use and stop eating all the processed garbage out there. There are thousands of pills, remedies, diet centers, etc. and most of the stuff is just a scam to take your money and perhaps a "Quick fix"! We just need to eat good healthy food and stay away from the crap! Sorry about that, i will get off my platform now  Hang tight everyone! The weekend is almost here! Love you guys!!! Nancy (twilight)
|
| salamanda - 2007-06-07 14:43:22 |
I really think that 5 days on and 2 days off is a brill idea cos I like to be sociable with my OH at the weekend and that really involves having a drink for both of us. Maybe 5 days CSD and 2 days, well forget the food take the calories with alcohol; mind you I do that anyway when off diet! Am I really bad? Good on you twilight I've been very good too, 1000 cals or less a day and I'll keep that up till I'm off the antibiotics so I can flipping drink again!
This will be us lol!

|
| twilight - 2007-06-07 14:57:53 |
I'm totally in agreement with that! I say we devise a 5 day on and the weekend off on the Party Girls thread! I miss my drinks too, but i can save them for the weekend only and that would give me something to loo forward to. I will still eat sensible food and count the points in my food and alcohal consumption and stay at 20 points. How does that sound? Did you get your WW books yet? I'll meet you over at "Party Girls" because this one is probably more for the June Challenge right?:D

Hi ladies,
Good to see that everyone is doing ok.
Mandy.... good news!!!! My tests came back great. The cysts have reduced in size and all my blood work came back normal. Yee Haw:bounce: I am so excited. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes.
I have been doing pretty well on my diet. Just eating lower calories and doing something working out wise pretty much every day.
Thanks for all you gals support.
Good luck and God bless. Marie'

| salamanda - 2007-06-07 15:23:50 |
That's great Mariel what a relief that must be for you! I'm doing the same as you at the moment under 1000 calories a day so far!

| Cabbage Super Queen - 2007-06-07 20:03:06 |
Hey Girls! Just finishing day 4 - my co-workers probably think I'm part chimpanzee watching me eat all those bananas today! I am definitely going to check out the day four recipes.
36toGoal - To answer your question - I'm from Canada and Winners is the Canadian version of TJ Maxx (owned by the same parent company). I was just in NY last weekend - Buffalo and NYC - I go to NYC every year - LOVE THE PEOPLE!! Such energy and heart. XOXO
I think the 5 day plan is fine. I personally ALWAYS start the CSD on a Monday - that way by the weekend I can enjoy steak/chicken etc. It makes it so much easier to go out on Friday night and have a normal steak dinner and salad with friends. Same for Saturday. In 2002 I lost over 60 pounds on the CSD and I consistently lost weight each week even having a "cheat day" or two per week. As long as I didn't over do it and I kept things fairly low carb on those two days. That's just my experience.
Anyhoo - congrats everyone on making it to day 5 - soon we'll have our 1 week results. :first:
Talk to you soon - Jill (Cabbage Super Queen!)
|
| twilight - 2007-06-07 20:21:47 |
Wow Jill! What a great success story!! and we all need those! I've been saying all along I'd like to do it 5 or 6 days a week and eat sensibly but ENJOY the weekend then keep going on Monday again. I am on day 4 also but instead of the normal banana day I am doing day 3 again. Mostly as a test to see if it still works, but that was my least favorite day also. I may do day 3 again tomorrow and then on Sat. do the steak day but with Pork Tenderloin instead. I know everything says Beef, or replace with chicken etc. but we've got o remember that the CSD is over 20 years old, now pigs are raised so much leaner and fed differently and the loin and tenderloin sold these days is actually less fatty and fewer calories and points than chicken! So we will see...hopefully I won't mess everthing up, but I really want the CSD to fit into my life, likes and still loose weight and keep it off! I feel that when things are done as a 'crash diet', the weight comes back quickly and sometimes more comes along with it!
So good luck to you all! Tomorrow is Friday!! yeah!!:clapping:
|
| maidofhonor - 2007-06-07 21:19:39 |
Jill - 60 pounds, WOW. You ARE a Cabbage Super Queen! How many weeks did you do CSD? Did you take time off between weeks or do it consecutively?
I just have to say, I am impressed. Stories like that will get me back on the bandwagon! (Of course, not until after my birthday next week, but hey the bandwagon nevertheless. I know, I know, I have to quit saying stuff like after this party or after that event, otherwise after never comes...)
BUT, Twilight, I agree that you have to just make the diet your own or you'll never stick to it anyway. I think pork would be just fine! (We can talk ourselves into anything, can't we? LOL) But seriously, you're still eating well for 5 days and at the very least maintaining weight loss and being healthy. So who doesn't have a few cocktails on the weekend? And pork compared to beef? Come on, it's the other white meat and is definitely less fatty than many cuts of beef...prime rib for example??

Okay, this morning the scale says 162.2, so that is like 3 1/2 pounds down from Monday I think. Monday I ate healthy all day until that blasted cheeseburger at night, Tuesday and Wednesday I was faithful to the 3dd, and yesterday I was faithful to it for breakfast and lunch. Then hubby came home with pizza and wings for dinner for him and the boys. And I'm looking at a can of tuna, some cauliflower, beets.....you get the picture. Yes, I hate to say it but I went for the pizza and wings, to hell with dry tuna! And I felt bad for about thirty seconds and then decided that life is too short to not sit down with my kids and happily have a piece of pizza and laugh with them about their day. Thank God the scale didn't punish me too badly this morning for that or I may be singing a different tune right now! Anyway, I am just going to healthy eat over the weekend, lots of fruits and veggies and good stuff, and try to stay away from that butter loaded food at work. Sunday I am going to have what I want for dinner and probably a few beers too. Then I think I will do another round of 3dd starting Monday. That graduation party is coming fast (week from today!) and I want to be at least at wedding weight (160.8) or maybe a little lower by then. Wish me luck!
Sunny, we are all celebrating the Ducks winning the cup, even us Sabres fans! Buffalo, hell all of Western New York, was behind the Ducks. Our hugest rivals used to be the Leafs, but I think Ottawa is taking over that title after this year. No one that I have talked to wanted to see the Sens hoisting that Cup. Anyway, we all LOVE Brad May after all his years here so it was great to see him win! And good for you for staying out of the bar! I don't think I would've had that will power! And don't get down about 3 pounds, it is a lot to lose in a week! And if you are walking and working out then you are probably building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you probably lost more like 5 pounds! Give yourself a couple day break and get back to it!
Sally, my heart goes out to you...no cocktails!? Poor girl. We'll all have one for you, being the friends that we are. I know if the position was reversed you'd have a few for me, right?
Marie, that is fantastic news! I'm so glad for you that things are going in the right direction. Believe me, I know that fear and dread of waiting for test results. I started going through it in February 2005 with abnormal test results and then the biopsy came back cervical cancer. It was hell and I still have fear every time I go in for an exam. Which is still 2 -3 times a year and that sucks! Infact I have another one coming up in July and I am already sweating it! Anyways, good for you, I am so happy for you!
Twilight, good for you for sticking with this and finding ways to make it work for you! Can't wait to hear your results! And I think that you guys are right about finding a way to make this work for life. It just isn't realistic to diet 24/7. But finding a way to at least keep the weekends healthy AND fun will keep us all sane and happy!
Jill, Thanks for letting me know about that store! There is a T.J. Maxx not far from here so I will definitely go check that out! My hubby and I have always wanted to go to NYC, everyone says it's awesome and you can find some great shopping! And congrats on the 60 pound loss in 2002. Can't wait to hear your results at the end of this week!
Jennifer, Just wanted to say, Have a great time tonight at rehearsal and tomorrow at the wedding! Can't wait to hear back from you and to see some pictures! Enjoy yourself and have a few cocktails for me!
Charito, Brittany, Paragon, Sinead, Rottingoak, you guys hanging in there? How are you doing with your plans?
All the other June Challengers, How's your week going? Almost through your week - can't wait to hear all of the results!
Well that's enough for me for now! Ramble, ramble, ramble. Hope you all have a great day!
xoxo Mandy

Jill: 60 lbs that's amazing!! and I love Winners, fantastic deals. NYC is amazing, tax-free clothing and cheap, not brand names of course... I can't wait till I'm going to NYC next month, of course I would have to lose some weight first :)
Mandy: that is absolutely fantastic!! 3 1/2lbs. Honestly, I agree with everything everyone said, you can't live the diet to a T, have to treat yourself to things and make out what's best for you, you know? so who cares about a slice of pizza, you have to bond with family and deserve to pig out for eating healthy.
I just got back from another workout. Did my 30 minutes of muscle stuff and 40 minutes of jogging. I feel absolutely great. In fact, I want to go jog for another 40 minutes! I'm not sticking to my diet to a T though, I have some food before I workout and some yoghurt 2 hours after dinner. Yesterday, I had a lot more chicken than I was supposed to, and I couldn't find whole wheat tortillas so I just had the regular stuff..... I hope it won't affect the process too much.
I hope everyone is doing well, I just wanted to do a quick post, I have to jump into the shower, I'm sweating like a pig!
a quick note: I will be updating the new stats for week 2, if everyone can post their monday morning weight, and the number of minutes they worked out this week, that would be great! Thanks!

Omg so much to read!!! Ok i dont have time to comment on anyones posts im just checking in right now. I failed the three day diet AGAIN!!! When it comes to the night I havent been able to control myself!! But I and tying a different approach today. I have a friend who is starting the CSD with me tomorrow so I am going to do day three today without the soup just to kickstart the CSD! What do you guys think??
SO this will be how it goes for me....Day 3 day1.2.3.5.6.7 (I hate day four so its disincluded) or should I do day 3 .1.2.3.3.5.6.7??? any thoughts? Im off my period now so I think I can handle the food. I never thought it would have been so hard to keep up with. TOnight I will be making the cabbage soup and then jumping over to my friends house to makes hers too! I keep saying Ill be back in the night for you guys to comment but I keep lying :( . Im sorry girls things have just been coming up. anyways thank you all for your support I will TRY and come back and make some comments like I want to. SO much I want to say to you all

I think your plan sounds great!! I have done this week: day 1, day 2, day3, day3, day 3 (today) and tomorrow day 5, etc. so we are in the same mind frame Brit! no day 4! I just hope I dont cheat! Good luck, hang in there and don't be such a stranger! we miss you!

Oh hell
So i really messed up last night
I was doing so well with the diet and then after eating all my bannanas and milk, my husband decides to suprise me with a huge salad and garlic bread
Well of course i ate it but i know it threw my day off completely.
This sucks cause i was really hoping to loose the most my first time. Oh well, i am continuing on the diet so i am on day 5 right now and boy do i have a headache LOL
so my goal is to continue through this one and restart on Tuesday with day 1. With that in mind, Fathers day is Sunday so this weekend will be ok for me to eat meat with the dads
so i guess instead of 6 pound weight loss like i was hoping its going to stay around 3 but thats better than nothing

| beachykeen - 2007-06-08 11:27:54 |
So I finished day 7 yesterday.... start was 180 and this morning I was 175.6 So I'm happier now cause I hit the 175 mark (well kinda hahaha) and my scale's fat meter went from the constant 40% to 38%.. I know those aren't accurate but I'm gonna hang on to that
I think Monday I'm gonna start again and do the 7 day csd... the only thing is I'm gonna leave out the cabbage soup part ... I've tried so hard but I just can't seem to stomach it :cold: Maybe I'll just chew on the cabbage with out cooking it... :bored:
Super Queen: All I godda say is DAMNNNNN!
TJ Maxx Rocks! you godda sort thru the clothes but you'll find some good clothes. Also if you find a TJ Maxx with a home store the home decor stuff is cool too. Ross has good finds too.
I don't know if its just where I live but ohhh myy gaawwddd. All the clothes for bigger people are all stretchy .. It fits but it cradles my fatness and shows my bulges... I want to find clothes that fit me that hang and don't hug my body and bring my tires to attention.
Confession: I sometimes have to shop in Maternity section. Sorry.... I like the empire waist shirts hahaha

| twilight - 2007-06-08 11:52:17 |
Hey Sunny! I have bumped it up in the past but let me just tell you where to find it. There is a old post something like "if you hate the soup" or whatever, but this guy franky started it and the #2 reply was by this guy that lost like 60 pounds on this diet without the soup! Now he was really heavy so it's easier to loose but at least we know it's possible. He puts his daily meals out there so you may want to do a search for it. Just go up to the search line above and put in those related words. I would just bump it up for you but every time I do that for someone, it's gone by the time they get back on here to look for it! Anyway I think the soup is just to keep us full and there is no magic to it, it's just full of all the negative calorie foods, so just make sure the fruits and veggies you eat are on the list of negative foods.
Also if you go to the Hungry Girl website, I just got todays newsletter and it's got a bunch of info about salad bars and ingreds. and stuff, if you go out to lunch alot!
Maybe I will reiterate that in our "Party Girls" thread cuz I have some other info for that too! Anyway, you did great, 5 pounds is great and you had a few curveballs in there this week too didn't you? So very good!
and I totally agree about the old lady stretchy clothes! Give me denim or give me death! (and I AM an old lady, but super young at heart! as you know...I can party with the best of them!)

Hey Girls, Thanks for all your wonderful words. Yes... I am pretty psyched about my test results. My nerves were wracked.
I will post my weight results and work out results on Monday morning. Evreryone have a great weekend. I hope to talk to you all some this weekend...but we are going to be pretty busy, so have a good one if I don't post until Monday.
I am celebrating right now with a 'screwdriver' Yum.

Darn it, I wish I could have a Screwdrver with you (My Usual and favorite drink) but I'm trying to be true to the diet this time! Congrats and good luck. Right now any diet results are probably the last thing you're thinking about, right?:first: Good for you and you know we've all been behind you all th way!

Hey girls - TGIF!!! Day 5 down however I admit I made this my "cheat" day. I had a BLT wrap for dinner with my husband at a little beachside cafe. It's our 6 month anniversary so we went out to celebrate.
MaidofHonor - Jen - went on the CSD for about 5 months in 2002. At first I was really strict - followed the diet to a T. for about 3 - 4 weeks. I lost about 19 pounds in the first month. After that I eased up a bit and had a couple of glasses of wine on Fridays and usually made the weekends my cheat days. Saying that I have to advise I still tried hard to keep my cheat day meals LOW CARB. I worked out as well consistently but don't worry - no Jane Fonda workouts - just 45 minutes on the treadmill about 4 times a week. I lost about 2-3 pounds per week still on the 5 day. BABY STEPS is the best advice I can give you. Each day counts -
36toGoal - Mandy - Hey what's your connection again to the Ducks? Are you are fan or do you know someone on the team because I DO!!! Back when the hockey strike was on  my hometown won the amateur hockey championship called the Memorial Cup. It was CRAZY here. It was like the only hockey game in the world that day and they won in our city. The streets were filled with people celebrating for HOURS!! Anyhoo - one of these young amateurs was a guy name Corey Perry and he was drafted to the Ducks the next season. He ended up scoring the 6th and final goal of the Stanley cup and when 3rd period ended and they had won - there was a shot of 3 players - one of them Corey - hugging the goalie just before the other team members joined in for the big group hug!!! It was so exciting to see our Cory in the BIG LEAGUE winning the BIG CUP!!!
RottingOak - Have you ever been to Century 21 in NYC? - it's FAB shopping!! It's hard to do any kind of diet in NYC - best cheesecake in the world. And don't even get me started on the GIANT M&M's World in Times Square. They have EVERY kind of M&M there but no cabbage M&M's...HMM .
Beechykeen - Sunny - I'm trying to find a picture of me pre-CSD weight. I hated getting my picture taken at that time - I was like Sean Penn chasing after the paparazzi anytime someone took a picture. "GIVE ME THAT @#$%ing CAMERA!!!!" Anyhoo - I have gained back just 15 since then but I quit smoking so I have an excuse.
Well - I'm all talked out. It's 12 midnight and I am so tired! Talk to you all soon.
Jill

| 36toGoal - 2007-06-09 04:58:04 |
Hey Jill, I don't really have a connection to the Ducks, other than my oldest son is a huge fan. We still can't really figure out why! We live in WNY and have basically all been Sabres fans since birth! Anyway, other than the fact that Brad May played in Buffalo for years and he is a Duck now, we don't really have a connection. But how cool for you to have your own "hometown hero"! And congrats for giving up the smoking! My husband has been wanting us to quit for about a year now and I keep putting it off....always a reason not to quit, always a party where so many people will be smoking, always a diet to be on and I just CANNOT diet AND quit smoking at once!!! So many excuses... I know I just have to make up my mind and do it! But good for you, I bet you feel so much better!
Brittany, just keep on checking in, even just to say hey! It gets to weird if too much time goes by without hearing anything from you! And I think it is very cool that your friend is going to cabbage soup with you! Good luck to you, I'm sure you will have a great week!
Miss Pink Meow, a salad and a breadstick is not the end of the world! Don't give up! Seriously, that is not a bad cheat, as cheats go. I'm sure you will still have great results for your weigh in! And, 3 pounds is a lot so if it is 3 pounds than be proud of yourself and keep going!
Rottingoak, you are my hero with those workouts! I did not do my exercise minutes as pledged this week. :( Bitch of it is I know I would feel better if I did! I'm so glad for you though, for being on the right track and for feeling better! And it doesn't sound like you did any damage food wise to me! Just keep up the good work! I am so anxious to see your overall results after the five weeks!
Beachykeen, I don't think it's where you live, I think that clothes problem is everywhere! And then if you try to buy a bigger size so it's not tight around your stomach, it just doesn't fit right in the shoulders/chest! No win situation. Enjoy your weekend off!
Twilight, I'm so proud! Still going strong with that soup! I am very anxious to hear your overall results because that is about how I want to tweak the diet too! I don't remember though, are you doing day 7? I think I was going to repeat day three there cause I can't stand brown rice! Well, keep us posted!
Marie, Hope you enjoyed that screwdriver! You really deserved it!
Hope everyone else is doing well!
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
Keep up the good work everyone!
Mandy

misspinkmeow: the stuff you ate is actually healthy.. salad is good for you, garlic gets rid of toxins and we all need bread to balance out the other stuff we eat!
CSD Queen: Yess, it's so crazy there. My bro lives 5 minutes away from one of the bigger shopping malls in the place!! I remember trying so many things on last summer, and thought to myself... if only I was skinnier. I know, I don't know how I'm going to keep up with the dieting stuff while I'm there and I'll be there for like 2 months. There's so much food there that we don't have here and I love this seafood buffet place they got!! AHHHH. Maybe I'll try to keep those on my cheat days.
Mandy: aww, it's okay. You really have to start slow. As I mentioned before, I barely did my cardio stuff, only 5 minutes when I started let alone jog for so long. I still struggle with it now. I have today off but I wanted to go jogging anyway and had great trouble when I first started, physically and mentally. I was like today is my day off why am I working out? My body isn't feeling up to it either. But I said to myself, you have to wait for the morphine to kick in, just hold on a little longer (jogging has become a drug to me..lol) I started getting huge bursts of energy. And even after I get these bursts of energy, I still have to fight the negative connotations related to exercising, like how it's so hard, it's so troublesome etc. It's also great because I jog with my dad; he's so discouraging. He thinks I am incapable of losing weight, working out. I took a different route today, the one he jogs every morning, it's about 5 miles or so? He kept saying oh you should go home, we're not even half way there yet, the sun is out you don't want to get burnt etc etc. In the end, I jogged a few extra blocks longer than him. I think I have even more willpower when I want to prove to someone they're wrong and I can do it! Sorry, I'm rambling on... just take it slowly one second at a time and you'll make it! Soon, it'll become an addiction. and I'm starting my 4th week this Sunday, two more weeks to go. I can't wait for my results either. I see some extra loose skin on my tummy. You know how after you lose weight.. the skin is all loose? yikes.
Charito, Sally, and others, how are you guys doing? Keep us updated!

Ok girls, here is a pretty decent post from me, lol. So far I failed day one of the CSD, but today is a new day. Im ready to FINALLY get through day one!!! thats been my problem the last couple weeks. But I actually have the soup to get me through this time. I faltered yesterday because I didnt have that something "salty" that i needed in time and picked up two cheeseburgers from mcdonalds and rallys fries. I know horrible! Even more so because I took the time to go to TWO different places to get that meal!
So last night i made my soup (which my husband burned!!! but ill eat it for today). I went over and helped my friend make her first batch too. So we both start today! I am looking for a 9 pound weight loss. I didnt do any workouts this week like i pledged, but I will be doing 30 minutes as soon as I get done with this! I am making my husband make more soup for me today without burning it this time lol. Hopefully he gets it right because last time he went seasoning crazy and it turned out like a FIRE in your mouth LOL!But what a sweet gy for trying lol.
Marie, Im so glad to hear that your test results came out all right. I a worried about you when you said that you even had to go in for them. I know how tough those are my mom goes through all kinds of things like that. Just recently she had a mamogram for a huge lump in her breast and that came back benign, but she got told that ANOTHER area in the other breast might not be benign so she is going in for a biopsy on the 20th. I am very worried about her because she has fibromylgia, ovarian cysts, a liver tumor and now the breast thing. I dont know how much more my mom can take. she is truly my hero. SO that is why I am so glad everything with you turned out ok, because no woman needs to go through something so horrible. :)
Twilight, Hey girl! Where on earth is this party girl thread eh? I looked but I didnt find. I will need to look a little harder. I missed you how is your week going so far on your CSD on day 5 correct? Im going to start coming on here more, my time has opened up much and I shouldnt be as busy anymore.
Beechykeen, congrats on the 4.4 pounds loss and you are definetely 175! disinclude that .6 lol. and who cares if the percentage isnt that accurate if you have been weight in at 40% and now are 38% then thats still 2% that had to go away, right?
Jill (if i might be so bold), I love reading your posts you are so entertaining lol! Great job on quiting smoking that is a really hard feet and yes gaining the weight is attributed to that...I gained like 80 lol but i dont think i can attribute that to quitting smoking lol!!
kpmr, that is a really great pound loss that is wonderful! Just keep going I am sure you will hit your goal in no time!
Mandy! I miss you too girl! I know it must be weird wondering where someone is. Im sorry about that! and quiting smoking is really hard so just take little baby steps to your goal of quiting. I quit cold turkey, but some arent that lucky! I took up sugarless gum instead. I was a pack a day girl too! But my husband was more important to me than cigarettes (he hated it and never knew i did lol).
anyways I couldnt find out how to sen pictures through email to you but I am going to post these here. they are my now pictures so we will call them the BEFORE pictures yea? and yes I know i look 12 months pregnant LOL!

look I carry everything up on top!! and have little legs and hips isnt that odd?? thats why my measure ments look so odd!

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend! I have worked a ton and slept very little so I am exhausted and thinking of going back to bed, which I never do! My eating over the past two days, despite my best intentions, has been terrible so I hope that I didn't undo all of my work from last week!! When I'm so tired I don't make the best choices. So we'll see what happens.
I've been having a terrible time with this site lately. Everything is very slow to load and sometimes I just plain cannot get into some of the threads! Very aggravating! If it's something that is on the main page as an active thread I can usually get to it, but anything else, forget it.
And, not to bring up a sore subject, but today I noticed that they had changed it from average posts per hour to number of posts today. (Towards the bottom of the main page) Which means that someone is paying attention to this site and changing/improving things. So why hasn't there been anything done with the reputation points!? I know that we are all pretty much over it now that Sally is back and we've decided to just ignore all that nonsense, but still, I'd like to think that our suggestions are at least considered and that doesn't seem to be the case.
rottingoak, thanks for the words of encouragement! I know I just have to start. Once I get past the first few days, I know I will be okay and I won't have to push myself to do it - I'll just want to do it!
Brittany, so good to have you back! Stay with us, okay? We'll all help you through! And I just have to say, I think you are very beautiful, and you do not look 12 months pregnant!
kpmr, welcome aboard and congratulations on your loss so far! Amazing results!
Sally, Twilight, where are you girls this weekend? So quiet! Are you doing okay?
To the rest of the June Challengers, How's everyone doing? You've got to be about done now right? Either day seven or finished depending on when you started. Can't wait to hear some results!
I am going to go lay back down after all. I'm too tired. And I have a busy rest of the day so I hope you're all having a great weekend and I'll check in tomorrow!
Mandy

Brittany: you're beautiful hun!
I just wanted to do a quick post to remind everyone to weigh themselves tomorrow morning! (Monday) and I will update the stats. Please give me the hours you exercised as well.
Thanks!
|
| salamanda - 2007-06-10 06:08:59 |

Thanks for he reminder rottingoak will do. I've been really good this week except for Friday night whenI caved and had crispy fried beef and fried seaweed [mmmm my favourite].
Brittany you are a gorgeous looking girl! [well woman but then everyone younger than me is a girl lol!]
We have TJ Max here all over in the UK too it is a great store except it takes a while to sort through and find stuff in there!
Mandy I've been having problems lately too on this site I am worried it is going to crash and lose everything as it did before. Try deleting your cookies and history on interet options cos that helps a little. I wonder if it is getting full up with all our posting with pictures and that? I find this thread cos it is so long can take ages to load. Perhaps we should start a new thread every week for June. Oh and the posts per hour to average posts has always changed it is only per hour when there are a lot of posts when there haven't been many it is per day! I don't think anyone checks this site as you never get replies to emails or reports on posts! I guess we just have to try and control it between us so if someone is out of order we all collectively tell them off if you get my drift! I have to say that doesn't happen at the moment but all sites get trolls every now and again [the big brother site is full of them] on the whole we seem to avoid them here!

Hi all! I'm here but made a point NOT to turn on the computer all day yesterday so I could spend the dy with my husband. Also decided to tke te weekends off from the CSD as I had contemplated, but feared. I mean we HAVE to have a life right? So hubby and I decided I can do whatever I want during the week but on the weekends we have tospend together and have decent meals etc. So that's wht's happening on this end! I guess I am going to follow Super Cabbage Queens diet of 5 days on and cheats on the weekend. I really wish I had weighed myself on friday though, now I really won't know for sure! But tomorrow I am going to do day 2 and day 3 over and over then the weekend off, etc. I really didn't eat badly, but had to celebrate with Marie, so got some Tropicana "LIGHT" orange juice for some screwdrivers!! :o We had Pork tenderloin and brocolli Friday night and a whole chicken on the grill last night with lettuc, tomatoes, low carb tortillas and (now this it the bad part) roasted whole green chilie, the skinned and the seeds taken out of the inside and then i stuffed them with that mexican cheese and back in the oven to melt the cheese. yummy but I shouldn't have had any cheese! Oh well, you know what happens to common sense after a few drinks right? So I am a BAD girl, but life goes on and Monday I will be back at it strong!! just for the week days though! Glad you are all back around and doing fine!

Hi Girls,
Thanks for all the wonderful words. I have had a good weekend so far with my hubby. All five of our kids are gone visiting friends and family until Tuesday. It's nice to have time to ourselves. I have eaten ok this weekend. I will get back on the bandwagon and start back low Cal tomorrow.
Girls have a great Sunday and have fun. Twilight, the screwdrivers are yummy. Huh:bounce:

| salamanda - 2007-06-10 13:45:57 |
Yay Odette of course I remember you I thought we'd lost you to ciber space lol! Good to see you back again!!! Yeah of course you can join us! I took over the charts from Charito as she's taking exams and busy but Rottingoak is doing it this week I think we're swapping about as it is hard work, so you need to PM her your details. Hope you had a good time! ;)

Rottingak I'll do next weeks again if you like, by the way, especially as you are doing that other site. This week I have a lot of work on so it would have been a bit tough so thanks for doing it but I don't want you to think you are lumbered!
Mariel love them we do but it sure is good to have a break from them at times. Me and my OH are going on our 1st holiday without kids in 3 weeks I'm really excited! Have a great time!

Twilight I had a day off here pretty much yesterday but the withdrawal got me back on today! lol! I agree 5 days on two off every week is the way to go! Apart from anything else it should confuse our metabolism which will hopefully help us to lose more weight during the week. Mmmm cheese what I miss more than anything else when b***** dieting. [oh except alcohol lol!]

| Cabbage Super Queen - 2007-06-10 17:28:53 |
Hey girls - Just sitting here enjoying a fabulous Sunday evening. It was super sunny and hot here in Southwestern Ontario today - summers here - FINALLY!!! Ready to weigh in tomorrow and restart the CSD again for week 2.
Misspinkmeow - In my opinion husbands are really hard to love when you on a diet of any kind. My husband thinks that dieting means skipping lunch or only having pizza 3 times a week instead of 5 times. And of, course he's trim. He went on Atkins one time and lost like 8 pounds in three days. Then he decided he'd lost enough and went and got a Souvlaki. I'm sure your hubby had the best of intentions when he picked up that salad and low fat garlic bread with cheese. My does the same thing to me. I still have not been able to convince him that Nachos are not are vegetable!!!
Beechykeen - Sunny - I LOVE LOVE LOVE Empire waste shirts!!! And the best part is they are all the RAGE now. No longer are they reserved for preggers or for women trying to hide a belly. I think they look and feel great on. In fact I went to my beloved Winners and bought like 4 of them last week!
36toGoal - Mandy - Hockey is a religion almost here in Ontario - (it's a bit crazy I think ). Quitting smoking is hard. A few friends of mine tried laser therapy. One folded like a deck of cards after a week - but the two others did really well. There is also this extra thing you can get that helps you lose weight too. I say focus on one thing at a time. You don't need to be superwoman and do everything at once. Also - try to get your rest - exhaustion can make you thirsty and thirst is often misinterpretted as hunger.
Fiddy - Diana - YES! I am from London GO KNIGHTS GO!
Hope everyone else had a good week. Can't wait to see everyones successes tomorrow.
Talk soon - Jill

Hey ladies,
Well, I'm upset with myself for my weekend eating habits, but things were pretty stressful around here. I was helping my Mom move this weekend and our helped bailed on us, so it was just the 2 of us to move everything...I didn't eat horribly, but it wasn't great either....no cabbage soup. So, I weighed myself tonight and I'm at 159.2
I'm still down in weight but pretty upset with myself for falling off the diet...As well, I have been drinking around 12 cups of water per day and I'm lucky if I got 4 cups in all weekend...was drinking pop and gave in to some beers on Saturday night after all the stress.
Here's hoping to a better week...I'll post my official measurements tomorrow morning.
Dianna
arghhhh...I almost forgot...I got NO exercise done this week...I pledged 360 minutes but with the move it was impossible.
I'm going to start at day 1 starting tomorrow....
Here's picture of me in 2003 in a friends wedding...this is the dress I'm supposed to be wearing at my sister's wedding on July 14...I was about 15 lbs lighter then...needless to say the dress does't fit.

Here's a picture of me from November....yes, look at all the beer bottles....now you understand why I don't fit into my dress, lol

Hey ladies,
Well guess what? I failed on the second day of the diet I hate doing that!! I got through day one only to end on the end of day two~!! I am so mad at myself! I think the reason why was because the soup was burnt and I had no soup to eat. ACK! So i just finished making my new batch of soup so I am not going to let this setback keep me down. Right back to the diet I go. I am just going to continue onto day 3 and keep going through day 7 ( i was going to take out day four but decided not to) I have to go to a fair on saturday and I am planning on trying the friend stuff that I never have so I have to be really strict now. I plan to get below 222 by friday! I am at 226 right now. So 4-6 pounds to lose would be great! If i get these results I am going to take that saturday and sunday off (fathers day dinner) and then start back up on the csd on monday! Hopefully i can stop screwing around and get this weight off finally. I have come to far (ten pounds) to let myself gain it back again! anyways girls that was me checking in I have a lot to do the rest of the night so I will talk to you all later!! Thanks to all who said I was pretty :) and ok maybe I dont look 12 months pregnant just a meer 8??? lol.
have a great night everyone!

Flipping 'eck the imposter is back again or I've upset someone!
Hi everyone else!

I have maintained rottingoak so my weight and STATS are still the boring old same!
That is 5 weeks now! Oh well I console myself with the fact I haven't gained any weight back and I guess I haven't been that strict with food every day this week but I have had an average over the week of only 16 weightwatcher points a day as that's what I worked out I should have to lose so I should have lost some weight. Weight watchers just doesn't seem to work for me but it makes me maintain my weight loss which is good. Twilight you've done WW should I go down to 14 points a day? I think it's the meds I take that made me gain in the first place.
Mind you I console myself with the fact that if I had reached target I would have to give up smoking as that is my next challenge! Well done to you Jill for doing that one already! What was the extra thing your mates were given to help them lose weight when giving up smoking so I can ask the doctor for it?
Twilight did you have mash with the old bangers? Pie an' mash with green liquor [not alcohol so don't get carred away!] is another London dish as is jellied eels! I think they're both 'orrible meals!
Brittany you can do that loss this week no sweat and yes I think carrying on often works better than trying to start again all over as that can be disheartening!
Dianna I think with the moving you did your workout well and truely with all that lifting and carrying probably more than if you'd gone to the gym!
Until later byeeee!

|
| Cabbage Super Queen - 2007-06-11 05:00:05 |
It's 6:30 AM and I just weighed in - my stats for end of week one are:
Start: 159 End of week 1: 154.5 Total loss: 4.5
Workout hours: um...yeah...NONE!
I'm happy that I lost 4.5 pounds but my goal for this week it to get back to the gym!!! I can actually see the place from my living room window - it looks nice - maybe one day I'll go there. Seriously, I'm going to try and get there today.
I just qucikly read some of your other posts and I'm sensing some discouragement amounst of few. "(DISCLAIMER: BEFORE YOU READ BELOW PLEASE REALIZE THAT I SINCERELY WANT YOU TO SUCCEED AND DO NOT MEAN TO JUDGE). Here goes:
- Let's make this week a NO EXCUSE WEEK!! There is NO EXCUSE TO OVER EAT!! This diet is simple and it works if you just follow it. BABY STEPS. Start with this morning. Make it your GOAL to get thru to lunch just eating the fruit and soup ONLY. Do the same in the afternoon and the same in the evening. Stressing ourselves out over EVERYDAY DAILY challenges with food IS WHAT GOT US ALL HERE! If something stressful happens just stay focused. It's tough - I know - but keep your EYES ON THE PRIZE. Next Monday is only 7 little days away. Life's gonna happen anyways so you might as well do something good for yourself. NO CHEAT ING THIS WEEK - (as a show of solidarity I am even willing to apply this to myself).
Have a good Monday - talk to you all Wednesday. Jill
:ban: ALL THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE CABBAGE TEACHINGS!!! :worthy:

I just weighed myself and the scale said BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
No, that's not what it said but that's how I feel.
Maybe my scale is broken?
It said 166.2
I say impossible.
I weighed 162.2 Friday and Saturday. Then didn't weigh myself on Sunday. Weighed myself Monday and up four pounds? Heavier than I have been since April? I just don't understand.
No I didn't diet all weekend. But I didn't have an absolute pig out either. I didn't even drink a lot! I had 2 beers on Friday, low carb low cal. I had a couple glasses of peach champagne Saturday night. That's it for the alcohol. I didn't strict moniter my food, but I didn't overeat!
As for exercise, I guess put me down for 50 minutes. 30 on treadmill on Monday, 20 up and down the stairs Tuesday. That's it.
Not much in the mood to post. If I am going to gain 4 pounds that easily than what fun is my life ever going to be? I don't mind dieting Monday through Friday, eating healthy, whatever. But I want to have a couple drinks with my husband on the weekends without feeling guilty or worrying about gaining weight. I want to eat at least one family meal on a Sunday, and not have in the back of my head that 4 pounds are right behind me.
I am just too down to be on this site right now. Maybe I'll feel better later.
I'm glad for the rest of you that you had good results. Keep up the good work, you're all doing wonderful!
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-11 06:04:47 |
Okay, one more thing
I am still having a hard time with this site. I can only view threads that are active (on the first page) and I can't get in to anything else.
What I am looking for is a 3 day diet that I posted. Not sure if it was on the 3dd thread or on the TWHITS thread. It was the same day repeated for three days straight and worked with a lot of metabolism boosting foods. Does anyone remember?
If someone knows what I'm talking about and they could bump it up just long enough to let me print it. Or send it to me in a PM.
Of course I just can't find the magazine that I originally found it in.
Thanks, Mandy
PS I think I am more down today than usual because I am tired from so much work over the weekend, my house is a MESS!, my dogs are shedding terrible and I HATE DOG HAIR!, and one of my favorite fish that I've had for years was dead in my tank this morning. So the weight gain was just the cherry on top of the sundae of my life. I'll try to shake it off and check back in later.
|
| twilight - 2007-06-11 06:05:03 |
Don't believe the stupid scale 36! They are WACK!! Mine fluctuates so much I can have a 3 pound difference the same day! Don't be so down, you need some fun time too and everything will equal out! Mon. is not the best day to weigh in anyway, we should do it on Thurs. or Wed. instead. I am going to do the CSD during the week and have the weekends off so it should all end up evening off, but after eating normally during the weekend, today's weight will be higher than tomorrow just because of the excess water weight. Right? bet if you do day 1 today, you will see a difference tomorrow on the scale!
|
| salamanda - 2007-06-11 06:31:27 |

AWWW Mandy you poor thing I know I'm kinda bummed too cos I was averaging 16 WW points a day and lost nuffink!
For you it's even worse that you gained! What is the b***** matter with us?????? IT IS NOT FAIR!! Must be the scales get a new set!!!!

Don't give up and eat though but take a day to chill from the results then jump back on OK?
Yes I agree Friday would be a better weigh in day what does everyone else think?
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-11 07:24:09 |
Really quick cause I was supposed to be off this darn computer an hour ago... I much rather would weigh in on Fridays. I am consistantly good Monday through Friday and give myself the weekends off. So weighing in on a Monday morning is bound to be disappointing. Plus now I have to see 166.2 on the chart for my weight for the whole week! GRRR....that's kind of discouraging! So, yes, I am in for a Friday weigh in. Fab idea.
And thanks you guys for the kind words. My life is just in turmoil right now for all kinds of reasons which makes it hard to put myself first and take care of myself. But this is no excuse week, right? So I will try harder.
By the way, the scale now says 165. If I could swear right here, I would. I don't think I cried a pound worth of tears so that's it, it's my scale, I hate it.
Thanks again you guys.
Talk to you later.
|
| rottingoak - 2007-06-11 07:38:17 |
Mandy sweeatheart, you can't possibly gained that much weight over the weekend! It's impossible! I had the same problem this morning too, I was up by 1-2lbs today. I got a little discouraged as well. You can give me your tomorrow morning's weight :) I'm sure you'll be down by then! hopefully I will too. Also, sorry to hear about all the things that's going wrong
I think we can definitely weight in on Fridays.
|
| 36toGoal - 2007-06-11 11:20:24 |
Okay, thanks. I think it will be better tomorrow. I may have gained, I've had a rough few days emotionally, but I just couldn't believe I would've gained THAT much! I will up date it tomorrow on the new thread. And I'm so happy we will be doing Friday weigh ins now! :clapping: You guys are all so awesome. I feel so blessed to have found you all!

Hi All, Today is my 7th day...and i have lost a total of 8 lbs (not including today)... I hope is 10 by tomorrow...
Anyway, has anyone tried just doing the first 3 days over and over?
36 cheer up... we got to keep on going but not having fun on your off days is not worth 1 or 2 lbs... I agree i think is just your scale, 4lbs in 2 days is almost impossible.
|
| whittnie116 - 2007-06-11 11:52:12 |
Hey girls,
LOL! I totally think jills comment about a no excuse week is all about me!!lol.
Mandy honey dont worry about it. It will drop off again. anychance near your period? Cuz women naturally go up about 5 pounds in water weight. If not, im sure it is just water weight and is going to come off. Try weighing yourself in two days. youll see. anyways stay positive and dont let it get to you.
Sally, what a freaken creep, lol. Im glad your not letting it get to you this time though. I don't know what we would do without you.
Here are my stats:
Start of the week:227 end of the week:224.5 total loss: 2.5 pounds
Bicep: 13 chest: 52 waist: 42.5 hips: 42.5 thigh: 26 calf: 16
So I gained a little, lost a little. How odd.
anyways that is all for me for a while. I will talk to you girls a little later if i dont check in later tonight I will definetly be back tomorrow night (after work).
Brittany

Brittany I think it's about me too lol! But I am trying! Hey you did great at least you're losing. I'm just stood still and have been for 5 weeks! I can't eat any less!!! I'm having exactly what WW recommends to lose weight I just don't. There's nothing for it but doing CSD again before my holiday!
Mandy nah no a**hole is gonna get rid of me I'm just gonna post that don't give a damn message everytime they do it and take the p***. My mates on here are far more important! Family stress is a real bummer I've had my fair share!!!! Step families sure are hard work!!! Just don't hit that cookie jar mate we're here for you rooting mate! Oh and make sure your scales are on a hard floor as that can sure make a difference!
Bathroom scale diet tricks
1. Weigh yourself fully clothed after dinner and again the next morning without clothes and before breakfast, because it's nice to see how much weight you've lost overnight!
2. Never weigh yourself with wet hair.
3. When weighing, remove everything, including eyeglasses. In this case, blurred vision is an asset. Don't forget to remove jewellery as it could weigh as much as a pound!
4. Buy only cheap scales, never the medical kind. Accuracy is the enemy and high quality scales are very accurate.
5. Always go to the bathroom first.
6. Weigh yourself after a haircut, this is good for up to half a pound of hair (hopefully).
7. Exhale with all your might BEFORE stepping onto the scale. (Air has weight, right?)
8. Start out with just one foot on the scale, then holding onto a towel rod slowly edge your other foot onto the scale while slowly releasing the towel rod. Admittedly, this takes time, but it's worth it. You will weigh at least two pounds less than if you'd stepped onto the scale normally.

Sally, LOVE LOVE LOVE those weigh in rules! LMAO! I swear my kids must think I'm a little crazy cause I just sit here and laugh at this screen so much! And yes, my scale is on a hard floor and I don't ever move it. I just got it in like March and it is a Weight Watchers digital scale.
But yes, Beachy, yesterday I did want to have at it with a baseball bat!
Thanks again to everyone who helped to keep me from going off the deep end yesterday! I feel so much better today.
Welcome back Odette!
kpmr, congrats on your 8 pound loss! Fabulous results!
And Brittany, stick with it, you are doing great!
Have a great day everyone!!!

Hey Girls - Not much to report other than I started jogging - sort of - I run for 30 seconds..and walk for 5 minutes...then I run for 30 seconds...sit down for 15 minutes. My goal is to become one of these skinny b#tches with the designer Lulu Lemon jogging outfit on running down the street with EASE. I'll get there. I really have to get my metabolism back up. BABY STEPS... 36toGo...read your Monday morning frustration and I'm glad your just surging forward. It is more than likely that you are just retaining water....either that or there is a cheesecake you didn't tell us about. I think you're idea of weighing in on Friday is fine....no-one expects you to NOT have a drink with your Hubby or enjoy a meal with the kids. I find weekends VERY VERY hard. Especially this time of year.
Tip: white wine (0) and most clear alcohol options like gin & vodka are good low carb drink options. Google: Baja Bob's Low Carb - this dude has all these REALLY COOL LOW CARB drink mixes like Margarita's - I tried them and they are GREAT!!!
Anyhoo - I'll chat wit' cha all soon!!

Glad to hear from you Brittany and you are doing great! DON'T BLOW IT WITH A STUPID MILKSHAKE!! It will be there when you're skinny, right?
Cabbage Super Queen...I see another worthy participant of the "Party Girl Diet" thread! Better give us the 411 on low carb booze and mixes! Definately a girl after my own heart! and though I prefer my wine red, I do like the clear booze! Thanks much!
