Hi Rebecca,
How much did you cheat?  You might not lose much if you cheated on something big 2 days in a row.  Drink lots of water that should get rid of the headaches you are getting.  I feel grumpy when I don't eat either, just fill yourself up on the things you need to eat that day, like today is day 1 for me, and I'm filling myself on the fruits and soup today and drinking plenty of water.

Hi! I'm on the CSD for the first time. Due to circumstances, I need to be able to do Day 5 and 6 on Friday and Saturday. I should have started on Monday, but just found out about the diet on Monday, so I started on Teusday (day 1). Today is Wednesday (day 2). In order to do the meat days by Friday and Saturday, I'm going to have to skip either day 3 or day 4. Is that extremely unhealthy, or will I just lose less. I was going to skip day 3 but now I see that thats when you lose the most. But day 4 looks important (finally getting some calcium and potassium. Should I do day 3 but just add a couple of bananas and milk for dinner? Anyone with advice? Thanks!

I to had headaches, even severe ones, (and that is something I dont get very often at all)  I made it through the first session of 7 days of the diet, difficult it was, I did cut coffee to a great degree because I dont like black coffee, I thought that might be causing the headaches, but that seems to not have been the problem I picked up on the coffee, still having the headaches, this is my 2 session of the 7 day diet, and on my 3rd day again, The advice I would give you is this, and I'm a long time dieter, thou maybe only my second round of this one and makes me no expert, but for years now I have been dieting, and on this diet the simple fact of seeing weight loss in just seven days is much more powering than any diet I have used, that is to motivate you to see a quick change not only in your life-style of eating , but showing you that will power does have success, and gives you the motivation of losing quickly to see a drop in your weight so fraustration doesnt take place first.

Thou difficult with changing eating habits with all diets its hard, but sometimes we make it harder on ourselves, I dont think anyone becomes a expert on any diet, its always difficult, but you have to say to yourself, each day passed is a day you won the battle, take time and think before you have the craving of something that you are not suppose to eat, find things that motivate you in wanting to lose the weight, keep a picture of you that your not happy with close, get on here and stay focused with others because your not alone, thou when you diet you feel you are.

I have read here that the headaches may come from detoxing the body from the things you are eating, I think that may be so, but it also could be from something you are depriving your body from that its used to having, when your body gets used to so many things it thrives on us feeding it as we always have, a change will effect us in some ways, but dont give up, your battle at the end of the week will be one that was worth the struggle.

I wish you luck and much success in this diet, you deserve what you want from your body, take control over it and let it know whose boss,  I am with you with your struggles, I am over a hundred pounds down from my diets, and none of them have been easy, but I found the person I wanted to know again.

Thank you all for the advice... I know I cheated the first two days but I thought its better to just keep going, instead of saying " I CHEATED SO I WILL JUST START NEXT WEEK " I may not have a huge weight loss this week but every little bit helps..... I lost 30 lbs on WW and gained like 20 of that back, that is soooo upsetting. I really must get this weight off....

Thanks again everyone !!!!!

Whats up with the headaches?

Emerald - 2007-07-26 05:03:22

Indigo, try not eating , thats how you get the headaches.  But drink lots of water it's good.  Yesterday all I drank was water because I'm doing another version of the 3dd.  I had such a bad headache, I got hungry at 9:00 pm, but I made it and today is day 2, at least I can have fruits today.

Rebecca,
I also lost 30 lbs on WWand am also doing this diet. I am just finishing day three and can't wait to weigh myself tomorrow! So far I have only lost 2.2 lbs but my cravings are much easier to deal with. I haven't cheated yet. I really hope I won't. I am using this as a stepping stone for WW. I quit WW and gained the weight back because of my lousy eating habits. I felt WW was too restictive but now after suffering for a week I think that returning to WW will be alot easier.

Im a wagon for starvin myself so hence im doing this CSD! Wats teh point in doin the diet if ur going to starve urself, i was told the more sooup u eat the more u lose cause of the neg calories!! Sorry but that all seems a bit mad to me!

when you deprive your body of food it needs it goes into starvation mode making it even harder to lose weight each time you try.

caoimhe_1 you are right the more soup and neg foods you eat the better chance you have of losing the weight easier

I did this diet last spring and summer and lost 30 pounds, I kept it off until my bad eating habits slowly crept back into my lifestyle..funny when I lost the weight I was under the impression I would never allow myself to gain it back again...HA

You have to make a lifestyle change along with losing the weight what a blow to my ego! So that is why I am back here on the wagon again...day 5 down and only lost 1 pound, so for all of you out there who read this...I need support to keep going this 30 pounds make the last seem like a walk in the park
