I have been a very good girl today apart from only having half a bowl of soup I know I should have more but it's getting to me!!! My potato is cooking and despite wanting it at 8 am I will now be having it at 9pm a bit late I know. I've had loads of roasted veg today though because I love them.
A doctor! Charito, OK you've made me put out my ciggy lol! I know I should give up and I will but not till I reach my target weight! Peru how exotic I know my parents have been there it looks wonderful! You look beauiful in both your photos Charito. By the way I really like your runner that gets thinner it is brill!
Luckykel if you are working out that much the meat is a good idea for you and I'm sure it won't impede your weight loss in fact is is a healthy way to go and you need it! What is Chicago White Sox?
I'm so jealous of you and odettebonett being on day 4, that is my favourite day the day I actually feel I am not dieting because normally I wouldn't eat bananas as they are a lot of calories. lol!
Where in Scotland are you going to Paragon? Hows the diet going? The trouble with me is I seem to put on weight if I have more than about 1,000 calories a day well it seems that way anyway! I'm probably exaggerating but I can't lose weight if I have that many!
Odettebonett Malta is definately on my list of places to visit in fact my parents are on a cruise at the moment and I'm sure Malta was on their itinery.

Hi All,
I am on Day 5 and at the moment eating chicken with 1/2 can of tomatoes, garlic powder and some basil. Its glorious after 4 days of not having any meat!
How are you all doing?
I am going to Scotland Sally. Going to Glasgow, Inverness, Highlands, Edinburgh, Lochness etc.
BTW CHarito you still look good 
the 3 day diet i really like. i will do it after 2 weeks of CSD.

Ok all
day 3 has dawned. I've eaten a whole watermelon this morning and feel stuffed and very sticky along with every thing I've touched and am wearing lol! Oh and I didn't get to eat my potato last night! I forgot it so it was exploded all over the oven and crucified!
I can't wait till day 4 my favourite! 
Odettebonett Scotland is a beautiful country I've only been there twice but loved it and on both occasions we had good weather! I have never been to Loch Ness but would love to especially as I was teaching about it only last week. The kids had to debate on if they believed there was a monster or not. I was surprised to learn how big and deep it is and the whole debate including evidence on the monster is very interesting!
I want to do the 2 week diet charito put on when I've finished this week then hopefully I will get to my target and be able to finally stop this crazy dieting and have some alcohol again!

Thought I'd add some calorie rules below [I wish they were true] so we can laugh even if we can't eat lol! 
Calorie Rules
1. If you eat something and no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.
2. If you drink a diet drink with a choccie bar, the calories in the candy bar are cancelled out by the diet drink
3. When you eat with someone else, calories don't count if you do not eat more than they do.
4. Food used for medicinal purposes NEVER count, such as hot chocolate, brandy, toast and Sara Lee Cheesecake.
5. If you fatten up everyone else around you, then you look thinner.
6. Movie related foods do not have additional calories because they are part of the entertainment package and not part of one's personal fuel. Examples: Milk Duds, buttered popcorn, Junior Mints, Red Hots and Tootsie Rolls.
7. Cookie pieces contain no calories. The process of breaking causes calorie leakage.
8. Things licked off knives and spoons have no calories if you are in the process of preparing something.
9. Foods that have the same color have the same number of calories. Examples are: spinach and pistachio ice cream; mushrooms and mashed potatoes.
10. Chocolate is a universal color and may be substituted for any other food color.
11. Anything consumed while standing has no calories. This due to gravity and the density of the caloric mass.
12. Anything consumed from someone else's plate has no calories since the calories rightfully belong to the other person and will cling to his/her plate. (We ALL know how calories like to cling!)

Good morning everyone! Sally that was super funny! I definitely wish they were all true!!! I made it through banana/skim milk day without cheating! I am so proud of myself since it is the first day since I've been on this diet that I haven't cheated at all! Today is beef and tomato day. I am making pepper steak for dinner for my fiance and I. I thought that would work since it only really consists of round steak, tomatoes and bell peppers. Usually we'd eat it over rice but I'll make the rice for him tonight and pass on it myself. It's one of my favorite meals so I'm glad I was able to fit it in one of the days of this crazy diet! I've been looking forward to it since I started. Working last night was very helpful for me. Since I am SOOO busy at work I don't have time to even think about food and then when I get home it's so late that I just go right to sleep! I have to work again tonight so that if helpful to pass along the time.
The Chicago White Sox are a Major League Baseball team for Chicago. We have the White Sox and the Chicago Cubs. Charito, who do you cheer for??
Hope everyone is doing well, I'm off to the gym to do some cardio. Hopefully all this hard works pays off!

You know girls, I am still recovering from the miscarriage; yesterday a friend came to cheer me up with food
I appreciate that but not my diet, it was chinese food, well, I hardly ever see her so I was eating a bit, she is from Colombia and always happy, so I definitely enjoyed her company 
Girls as I told you I am still trying to improve my english but sometimes I don't get some of your words, so it's good because I use my dictionary jeje
Sally, it seems that you are doing really good with CSD, I wish I could go with you on this but I know I can't be on that after a miscarriage, I am probably 3 points down on my Hemoglobin, Oh boy, life is hard sometimes and I hate supplements like Ferrous sulfate or other vitamins, it's funny right? always telling my patients to take them and I hate it jeje
I imagine when I finally start practicing medicine in US it's gonna be so much fun for me and my patiens, I am from the league of Patch Adams, actually he belongs to my husband's family and I am so glad that God put him so close to me cause I just love his phylosophy about the doctor-patient relationship.
Ok, now after fried rice I have to start 3 Day Diet again, I will be my own pilot, I love to do these kind research with myself jeje. My friend Daisy is also following this diet with me and she feels lighter already wow, I was also feeling great until chinese food came buuuh

You are welcome to try the 3 day diet, is really yummy and it is supossed to make you lose lots of weight in 3 days, the book says 5Kgs if followed really tight but 5 Lbs would be more than enough for 3 days I think. Luckykel, as I said I only have 4 years in chicago, but my hubby is a cub's fan, such a loyalty to his team, I not even cheer for my own country in soccer because they are really bad
but hubby is crazy for the cubs, I remember I was cheering for the sox when they won and I got in troubles at home so after that I cheer for nobody but I do like baseball now after going to all those games I had to learn what the heck with that game cause in my country we don't practice baseball. It must be really fun to work for a baseball team, nice job you got huh? Congratulations on keep standing for this diet, you are almost done sweetie, finish it clean ok and hope you lose many pounds. Be gentle with yourself, Charito. Of course you are still recovering, it will take a while. I'm glad you have caring friends who come to comfort you. In your situation I would have eaten the Chinese food too, and been grateful for a good friend.
Thanks for asking how my new diet is going, it's great! Actually, I can't believe I will lose weight because there seems to be plenty of food and it's soooo tasty. Today for lunch I had two slices of raisin bread spread with peanut butter, honey and sliced banana. How cool is that, on a diet! But it's all calorie counted to 1300kcal a day and I'm not cheating at all. Why would I when I get raisin bread-peanut butter-honey-banana sandwiches for lunch? Perfect for a carboholic like me.
I'm also doing a workout DVD every other day and that feels good too.
Sally you are such an inspiration to us all that this diet can really work. I am in awe of your determination, and grateful for your expertise and support.

Hi girls me again!!!
Well what a day I have hardly eaten today as I've been doing housework all day [sorry for swearing] But for the moment I've left the hoover on automatic pilot to type this lol!!!
I'm picking mum and dad up from their cruise tomorrow and bringing them back here as the ship docks near here and my house was such a mess and didn't want my mother to think I was really as lazy as I am about doing it!!! Oh and my hubby returns tomorrow as he works away a lot mind you he'll wonder why it's so clean and tidy. 

Can you believe it? I went to Sainsburys [super market] and they'd run out of my favourite veg aubergine and V8 juice well it really stressed me I felt like going and ranting at customer services till I pulled myself together and realised I was totally over reacting lol! 
Can you imagine what they would have thought of me if I had said "look I'm on a diet, this is important, I'm not allowed to have a lot on my diet, and when I can have it, and I want it, I expect you to always have it in stock.'
Anyway I ended up with a water melon and two pineapples instead. 
Paragon the feeling is mutual I think we all support one another so well and I know I would have caved in before if it wasn't for everybody on here and I just want to support back. That diet you're on is making my mouth water!
Charito I had no idea from your posts that English was not your first language. You are allowed to spoil yourself for a while you know. You will make a brilliant doctor I'm sure you have such a wonderful way with people and you are so kind and caring. 
LOL! lLuckykel I had wondered how you could enjoy a job making white socks!!! Wow that must be a fun job how lucky is that! I shall look out for them on the TV but I really don't understand the game it seems so complicated!

Good Morning.... day 6 for me girls... but extremely disappointed 
I went to weigh myself and i only lost 2.2lbs 
23rd April 2007 - 178.2 lbs
28th April 2007 - 176 lbs
I am not going to cheat and not going to give up but am extremely down.
Its true i got my period on day 2 but its nearly finished now and i only lost 2.2lbs. i did not cheat at all... i've done the new csd.
I kept a diary of what i took maybe you can help me out and tell me whether i did something wrong...
Day 1 - 4 Mandarins, 1 Kiwi, bowl of soup
Day 2 - cauliflower, marrows, cabbage - boiled and 1 potato boiled NO BUTTER - bowl of soup
Day 3 - carrots, asparagus, tomatos, 2 kiwi, 1 mandarin, bowl of soup
Day 4 - 3 bananas and 2 glasses of milk, bowl of soup
day 5 - chicken with 1/2 can tomato basil and garlic powder, bowl of soup
day 6 today
Every day i ate 1 portion bran flakes and 4 ounce of milk. (as i followed the new diet)
I never added any butter or oils not even on day 2 with the potato.
I feel like crying

Oh dear Odettebonett big big
to you. You have been brilliant on this diet and there is nothing wrong in what you've eaten you have probably eaten less than me!!! My weight loss often doesn't show till day 8 or even later and that is the same with many others!!! Especially since you have been having a period I used to retain loads of water when I had a period for up to 5 days afterwards [I had a hysterectomy last year] and I'm sure you have lost more weight than the scales are showing today!
I am so proud of you for not giving up only two more days to go for you and I bet your weight loss goes up in those days as the excess water is flushed from your body. Drink lots of water that helps on this diet! If you have the time try walking quite briskly for 30 minutes each day.
We are all here behind you!


Charito have you ever done the Inca trail then in Peru I've always wanted to do that since I read a book about it!! Oh and my asparagus that I've taken to eating raw as it is so sweet and delicious comes from Peru I noticed today!
I'm happy today milk and bananas this day is a breeze for me thank goodness!

I will be taking only soup and water today maybe that makes the difference. Maybe i take a bit of chicken with the soup.
Hoepfully is working as you're saying Sally but i really doubt it. i feel lighter but maybe its all in my mind and i am imagining it.

You are lighter! Get out 2 lbs of butter and look at it, because that is how much fat you have lost definately and I am SURE it will be a lot more by day 8 or 9!!!
Please don't starve yourself, chicken is good it has the least calories and fat as does tuna.
By the way I got really small bananas in fact they are called bananas for kids I was wondering if I could have 8 of them only usually I have about 5 huge ones but again the supermarket had run out. Lol I actually had my first one and a glass of milk at just after midnight I just couldn't wait till the morning!

i will be doing a lemon slush with crushed ice and some lemon today. i think lemon is allowed as well.
i took a bowl of soup with a bit of chicken but beleive me i was going to be sick with that soup. i dont know i will be able to take a bowl of soup tomorrow ... let alone anothe one today.
i will try my best.
what do you usually put in the soup... ? and do you let it simmer for a long time?
i was thinking of just boiled the ingredients on their own and then eat them seperately... what do you think? ever tried it?
i usually put.. 2 onions, 2 green pepers, 4 stalks of celery, 1 can of tomoatoes, 4 carrots, some cauliflower, bit of green / runner beans, 1 chicken cube and 1 basil cube. some salt and pepper. i leave them for about an hour and a half simmering... do you think that's why this soup tastes dreadful today?
any tips are appreciated cause i might try this CSD another week maybe i loose more than 2.2lbs 
i will weigh myself on day eight now again just to check... hopefully it shows less lbs

Before I tell you my soup recipe now remember I hate it too and I am a lousy cook.
I use:-
V8 juice [I really think this really helps to make it better!]
2 large onions
2 cans of tomatoes
a large bag of spinach [cos I love it]
courgettes
aubergine
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
loads of mushrooms [mmmmmmmmm]
1 soup packet french onion
I don't add any salt but it is in the V8 juice.
I simmer like you for an hour or so
I eat raw cabbage and carrots as I don't like them cooked and I leave out the celery cos I hate it!
To be honest I am more likely to eat more veg seperately than downing the soup as I prefer most veg I eat to be raw!
Have you tried blending the soup and drinking it?
I've also heard on here that there is supposed to be a spicy V8 juice that spices up the soup more that is supposed to be good but I have never found it anywere here in the UK in fact the normal V8 is difficult at times to locate.
lol! I hate the soup so much now that I bought the 7 day souper cabbage diet system pills from Holland and Barrett health food shop, they are pills that carry the same ingredients as the soup but I haven't tried them yet as I thought they may not be a sensible way to go. Everytime I do this diet I eat less and less soup!

How much rice do you usually take? i was thinking of substituting day 7 with day 3.
On Sunday i will be starting the 3 day diet ... found some very good reviews and it seems that everyone is saying it works although not 99.9% healthy
but its only three days.

then on CSD. i was not that successful with CSD being strict and only loosing 2.2 lbs on days 6. But i will judge when i weigh myself on day 8.

Odette, I am sorry you haven't got the pounds off that you expected from this diet, but maybe is that modification from the original CSD? In my experience we lose lots of pounds but only if we follow the former CSD Recipe and 7 days menu really tight. Have you tried the original CSD Recipe and following the 7 days with no cereal in it? You seem to be an excellent dieter sweetie, I am sure you can succeed doing this diet, maybe you should leave the bran flakes and milk out for next time and just stick to CSD, you will nail this diet ![]()
As you know I was doing this diet and just on the second day I lost already 4Lbs that's why I know this diet really works, I tried it years ago, and in only 5 days I lost 5Kgs (11Lbs) I only did it for 5 days and it was a victory!. I am not such a big fan of the potatoes or worse of the red meat, but I replace them for chicken and tuna.
About the rice, don't exceed the normal amount which is 1/2 or 1 cup of rice, even wheat it is still carbs and release Insulin and that wont let the fat go away.
The recipe I use is this...
I prefer to use everything fresh, even the tomatoes, I know maybe it doesn't taste as nice but the only artificial thing I put is the Bouillon chicken flavor, I even found it tastier when I put the powder from the maruchan soup, chinese flavor.
As Sally says, drink lots of water, really stick to the 7 Days and you should be able to see great results my friend.

I am on day 7 today and i preferred doing another day 3. so again fruits and veg today.
My beautician gave me the new CSD and she lost 5kgs the first week and the second 4 kilos so i thought its the same. Tomorrow i will start the 3 day diet which i found quite good reviews about it.
I think my period effected this CSD big time. Its not over yet so maybe i see the pounds falling down
in a couple of days. maybe as Sally said on day 8 or 9. although day 8 and 9 i will be on the 3 day diet.
How was your day 4 Sally? your favourtite day sweetie ... milk and bananas.

Hi girls 

OK confession time I am feeling so bad [hangover] but I can't lie to you my buddies I crashed last night big time! I feel like I have let you all down! My hubby thinks I'm mad cos all I was going on about last night was how I'd have let everyone down on here and was in for a big telling off by everyone lol! [men it seems well my one anyway just don't get the concept of this diet buddy system we have going here he is a roll eyes man! you know what I mean then he says how he loves me the way I am and why do I need to diet etc.....] 
Well here's the confession [with excuses I know but it helps me to make them!]
I picked up my elderly parents from their cruise and they had bought us two lovely bottles of Rioca red wine my favourite! 
I ate three small bananas and drank 2 large glasses of milk and one bowl of soup. At about 3pm the phone rings our estate agent the people in our chain have been turned down for a mortgage so have dropped out which means if we can't sell again soon we will lose our dream house!!! I know it's not the end of the world but we were hoping to move shortly and now we are back on the market with people trailing round again! This is the third time this has happened to us and we have been on the market for over a year! At this point I still stuck at things diet wise.
Then my hubby returned home, he has been working away and I really miss him. He opened the wine and yes I had two glasses while we were consoling ourselves and working out whether we could still move and leave the house empty to sell!
The wine went straight to my head. So we started putting on some tracks of music we like and started dancing [so at least I got some exercise in!] 
Then as the wine had gone to my head and I hadn't had much to eat I was hungry and my hubby was cooking [he's the cook in our house] He was cooking scampi and chips which is cool because I am highly allergic to shell fish but I saw a packet of fish fingers when he opened the freezer which I have always loved from being a kid he said go on have some and popped 3 in the oven. He then served them up for me with a salad and one chip and salad. I'm sorry but I devoured it all except the chip which I put in the bin I'm pleased to say! 
OK confession over I am back doing day 5 as I should feeling very guilty, fat and like I have piled on 7lbs

Thanks for that Odettebonett yes I'd love to try the 3 day one with you there is no reason for us lot not to carry on supporting each other on here no matter what diet we do we are like the online weightwatchers brigade lol! But I will start Monday when this one is over and when my husband goes away again it is so much easier when he is not about cooking and tempting me! I want a change too and the soup is really getting to me now and making me gag! I think I may finish this one a day early to start that one as I can't stand the brown rice day 7 on CSD anyway and I can surely justify only doing 6 days if I go straight onto another diet!

I remember my mom lost 5 Kgs in 3 days, it was huge but when I did it I only lost 3Kgs, she was bigger so I guess that has to do a lot with the results. I remember my last year at med school, I was such a waste when I started drinking at the age of 27, jeje, well I tried to be a good girl
But I have to admit sometimes I just need it, but hubby is italian and never drinks except for red wine but hardly ever so I became a good girl again jeje, In my country, forget it! even doctors drink like pirates jeje. No Sally don't be sorry sweetie, why is life then if we don't enjoy it? Specially with our hubbies, it's nice to hear that you had a good time. Perhaps you should take a break in between your CSD weeks? I could never go straight from one CSD to another, forget it, never
I feel much better now, I may go to my friends' party, I only had 4 parties in 4 years so I guess I can't skip this one jeje. 
I think I will start a diet with you guys from monday, my gosh, my friend's wedding is next saturday and I have to lose some pounds or nothing will fit me for that day, I wish I didn't have to go but my friend counts on me, and I guess I can't be so shallow and not go just because I am fat

So my CSD is finally ready
i started the 3 day diet today and 1st day passed already 2 days to go and i weigh myself and check all the lbs i lost in 7 days CSD nad 3 day diet.
First day went extremely well... now 2nd and 3rd should be easier.

Well blow me I just did a really long post then my computer crashed before it loaded on so I will start again!!!
Charito you are not fat just a size bigger than you would like to be. You are a beautiful woman and you bet you have to go to that party it will do you good darling. Look back at how I looked when I started on the collapsed sunbed lol! You look a lot better than that for sure.
Your hubby is Italian does he cook? I love Italian food it is my favourite to go to when we go out. Trouble is the Italian food I like is not good when dieting.
Hey I have never done this flipping CSD back to back I always have 2 weeks off in between I do not have that kind of willpower!!! I'd sure look like below if I did!!
I have done 6 strict weeks since Christmas with 2 week breaks in between each strict CSD week and I have had it with cabbage.
Charito I am starting that three day diet tomorrow does your doctor think you're up to it yet? Or do you just ask yourself doc?
No seriously if your up to it we'll do it together. I am stopping on day 6 of the CSD so I can go straight into the 3 day one tomorrow I hate day 7 rice anyway. Quick question what are beets? does that mean beetroot? Or is that another veg? can you please describe what it is and what it looks like. Sometimes we have different names for things in different countries.
Odettebonnet have you weighed in yet? I'm scared to because of my huge treat still I'll be happy even if it's only 2 lbs.
Ok dinner is served hubby cooked it well you would if I'd ever cooked for you lol! Rainbow trout and salad it's lovely tastes just like salmon but less calories and fat and recommended for healthy eating. I don't like meat much!
Very hot here in UK very unusual for us in April!
