Re: I started the diet today

Hey everyone,

Starting day 3... things are better today than yesterday. Yesterday was tough in the evening. I had cravings for sweeets and the veggies just were not cutting it. Thank you for alll the help everyone and keeping me motivated.... I think that I am going to take your advice Kat with a beanless chili.... I found a great recipe online, and I am going toh have 16 ounces of meet with 2 cans of tomatoes..... I am going to have to suck it up. Iam down 4 since starting.... I go to the gym everyday and I think that helps burn off the extra calories.... I usually have to stop my workout and go #2 at some point, but oh welll things are great..... Looking forward to that meat tomorrow. Keep up the good work everyone, and thank you very much for your help and positive reinfocements.... We can do it.....

My day 8 is Christmas day.... that is going to be one heck of a feast.

Re: I started the diet today

Hi... first post. I was researching some "fad" diets online and i came across this site yesterday. Reading everyone's posts makes me want to start tomorrow! lol but i know better than that with the holidays getting in the way, ill wait until after new yrs.. right now ill just try to eat alot less than i have been ::eyes the donuts on the counter::. Um.. In regards to KAT.. hang in there. Im sure none of us on here are experts on this issue so we cant give you the best advice, but just the fact u made it this far is great, and even if u do end up losing only 3 pounds.. youll feel GREAT about it. Once you accomplish something, ull feel like u can do it again, or do more. So hang in there even if itll be for the confidence boost and bragging rights only. If you feel like your stuffing urself too much, trying incorporating more water, itll fill you up temporarily and pass right through.

Anyway.. GL everyone!

Re: I started the diet today

Hi Kinia!  Thanks for the encouragement, although I am down and out on down 5.  Gave up this morning.  But then I sure did regret it after I talked to my sister, and she said that the meat days are what really drops the weight off.  I should have stuck it out!  I am still going to incorporate this cabbage soup into our regular menu and try to drink more water.  It did give me a little hope, and at least stopped my binging(like, oh well, I'm already overweight, why not eat that? - even when I didn't even want it!) and got me back on the track of being motivated to lose weight.  I plan to give this another try next month.  And I think instead of trying the roast beef, which is what really bummed me out, I will just go with something simpler.  That beanless chili really sounded good.  I am still going to try to eat healthier throughout this year(what another week or so?).  When the new year starts, I hope to get back into the habit of going to work out everyday.  And I will give myself a jumpstart with a SUCCESSFUL seven days on the csd!
Dave,
good to see you still going!  I will still be coming on here until you've reached your day 7 to be encouraging you and hopefully offering you some accountability.  This discussion forum was a huge encouragement and a big part of the diet for me (as you can tell, because look how much I write!).

Anyway, I am thankful for this start on my way to losing weight.  And if you'd like to keep me posted if you guys are doing this again next month, just name the start date and I'll meet you here!!!

Thanks everybody for the encouragement and positive feedback!  Keep truckin!

Re: I started the diet today

Hey everyone....

I am starting day 4. Yesterday was easier than day two. Kat, you are right that milk and bananas area  refreshing change. I ran out of soup today at lunch and I have already had 4 bananas. I also made a beanless chili with steak and 2 cans of tomatoes.... Thaks for the advice. Can't wait for christmas, we have a nice spread of food..

Is anyone else working out, or walkig, runnning????? Have you noticed your energy levels go thru the roof?

Does anyone find it challenging to go grocery shopping for christmas day/boxing day? Especialy walking thru the sweets or cookie isles?

Penny for your thoughts....

Thanks again for all your support.... Looking forward to christmas day....
