Hey tomorrow-starters! smiley-smile

I am also starting tomorrow.  This will be week 2 for me because I liked the results I got this past week.  We can all provide support to one another!  Believe me- it helps!  This diet gets harder than some people think at times!

Talk to you all soon!

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

Good morning, day one, wow I'm gonna really need the support this time! I just keep thinking of how wonderful the diet makes you look, and feel, it really does have a total sense of well being affect on you, especially after the first couple of days. I'm going to consintrate on drinking lot's of tea, and water, for my excersise plan, little aerobics to get the blood flowing in the morning, about 30 min. or so, and in the evening, yoga, and stretching ( Which does wonders)! Well that's my game plan, let's all stay focused, and get an awesome jump start to a healthier way of living, we all owe it to ourselves.I'm a christian, and this is going to be the perfect oppertunity to do a 7 day spiritual fast  along with the diet  for an even better feeling, and with that mindset...Let's get started,   Good luck everyone, and thank's for the replies         Have a blessed day, Star

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

Hello All.  This is my first post ever!  I am very familiar with the diet, I did it way back in high school along with some smart eating in between weeks and lost 50lbs!  Kept it off pretty well through college, but unfortunately have fallen into bad, bad habits in the 4 years post college and have gained it all back plus more.  smiley-sad  So here I am.  Today is the first day of week #2 for me.  I was reading the posts last week and was so encouraged just by reading, I thought I would join in this week.  I lost right at 10lbs last week, and hope to lose 6-8 this week.  I ultimately have about 70-80lbs to lose as I am 5'8 and started last week at 235.  But I have set littler goals.  First one at 25lbs.  I will be ecstatic to reach it and then move on!  But just take it day by day, right!?  Well good luck to you all and I hope to support and encourage all of us in our journey to a healthier us!

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

Kellyjane, Green onions are those long green things, the top part until the I'd say about the middle half is white, and then bottom part is green.  Just go to a grocery store and ask someone, I'm sure they will show you.

Kellyjane if they do not have green onions just use regular onions they both have a good flavor

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

kellyjane,
you might know them as scallions---they supposedly have less natural sugars than whole white onions.

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

:)Hey all, well day 2 almost down, yaaaa! This morning was tough, I felt very dizzy, but I'm better now.I made an awesome lunch, the kind of lunch you wouldn't even think you where on a diet, spagetti squash, and I made it to trick myself into thinking I was eating a big bowl of pasta loaded with veggies. It's so funny when your hungry how creative you can get with this diet, I can't wait to have my potato soon..LoL. I think I'm going to put a little salsa on it.Tomorrow I want to get a butternut squash, and make french fries in the oven, there really good with ketchup, mabey trick myself again..hehehehe.:clapping:Oh as for the onions, has anyone tried shallots instead??I love them, there across between garlic, and onion, only there really sweet.Well I'll keep everyone posted..TTFN

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I have not replied, I've been really busy this week. Well I have a confesion to make..smiley-angelI kinda have been modifying the diet...Well a,kinda cheating':blush:but I don't feel bad, I actually feel really good, and a whole lot healthier. I have been sticking to the diet, just modifying to make me happy, only healthy stuff though! I don't weigh myself, I go by the feel of my close, and how much energy I have, and how my skin looks, anyway here is what I cheated with...about a half a cup of half and half, about a cup of gold fish,, dash of shredded cheese 1 egg, and 1 piece of homemade wheat toast:(Do you think I will be ok? I feel great.Anyway, about the butternut squash recipe......... Be really careful, because you have to cut all the skin off just like you would a potato, then cut, and courter it up like a steak frie, or thiner, which ever you prefer, and spray with the butter cooking spay (pam), or whichever brand you prefer, and bake, just like you would if it was a potato, I can't remember exactlly the minutes, I just eyeball my cooking, and measuring anyway, they come out really good dip it in ketchup, If you are sticking to this diet to a T. this recipe is great, it will fill you up to. Well I'm going to keep plugging along, and keep you posted.....Best of luck everyone, I hope everyone feels great, because that's what living foods do!!!

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

Hi shinningstar I did buy a butternut squash and cut it up into french fry strips and used the pam but it took almost an hour to bake and become crisp.  The taste was good.  I have done the same thing with carrots and the cooking time and taste was about the same, and I am glad I tried it your way.  They are so sweet I did not even use ketchup but what a perfect night time snack

I think I will make another batch tomorrow night which is my day 6

Re: Starting tomorrow, and glad to be back!!

smiley-sad I fell off the wagon!  Help, I had banned food, and now I feel horrible, and it's funny cause you feel so guilty, and fatter when you cheat, I wish I can tell myself this before I take that big bite of forbidden desire:blush: Oh boy I guess I need to start over, Yikes.... I'm so sorry I'm not much support right now, my husbands birthday was saturday, and that did not help, I usually have more will power than this I just don't understand.Anyway I still feel healthy, and I'm going to continue to stuff myself on living foods, you can really tell the differance in how you feel the next day, when you eat good, and bad foods, it's really amazing. I'm glad you liked the squash nance, I'm going to pick up tomorrow with day 1 csd.Well talk to you later:biggrin:
