i've taken to blending the soup in my blender to make it more like a smoothie than a chunky soup - i find it easier to just drink in. do you think this is OK, will it yield same results? i cant imagine not, but i am a little concerned. thanks so much!

I blend all the time. I make raw blended soups, regular blended soups to make a "creamy" style base. I blend my fruits to make fruit smoothies and I blend tomatoes to make homemade V8s and I lose. It seemed I lost weight really well when I started blending after I bought my VitaMix. If it gets you to get your veggies and fruits in (especially raw) then its a good thing.

This morning I used coconut water to thin my smoothie. Best natural source of electrolytes. It has many health benefits. Raise metabolism, help with swelling, etc.

I also sometimes use high water content fruits as a base like melons or grapes or if I have none of that on hand, I use unsweetened fruit juice thinned with water.

I have been using a VitaMix to blend up smothies with the fruits and veggies too. It works great and is a really nice snack.

I will have to try blending the soup tomorrow.

Oh don't you love your VM? I use mine everyday. I make fruit sorbets and icecreams and add carrots to it and no one can taste the added veggies.
