NO BREAD - ALCOHOL OR CARBONATED DRINKS WHILST ON THIS DIET

Red wine is alcohol so the answer is a
DEFINITE NO

If you drink whilst on this diet you are wasting your time doing it.

If you have taken the diet from this site it is incomplete - on mine it says that nothing other than what is on the diet sheet is allowed and that alcohol, carbonated drinks or bread are definitely not allowed. It really defeats the object if you have anything else as wine is full of sugar and that is a no no on CSD.

Is it really that hard to give up alcohol for one little week??? I would think it would be worth it to see results. I suppose being a non-drinker myself makes it easy for me to say that.

a glasse of red wine is divine and good for u...since i drink at least 2 glasses every other day,it s gonna be hard for me, and it s not only the wine, it s the whole CSD, since i enjoy eating good food...what i like about all this is that the soup i m making is realy good and that i love cabbage.

Moderation is Key

The key to reaping the health benefits of red wine seems to be moderate consumption. Drinking one glass a day for women and up to two glasses a day for men may decrease the risk of heart disease, cancer and stroke. Excessive or binge drinking, however, doesn't produce the same benefits. In other words, when it comes to red wine: more is not better.

Recent studies show that drinking one glass of red wine every day may have certain health benefits. Research indicates that moderate red wine consumption may help protect against certain cancers and heart disease, and can have a positive effect on cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

I still think it is all personal choice on the healthiness of red wine after all look how many times MAY comes up in this article.

But my original point was only to say alcohol is not permitted on the diet and the restrictiveness of the plan is in part the key in why it works so well. (This is the case for me) Give it a go for 1 week can't hurt to give up a few things for a single week if its not the plan for you because you simply cannot forgo these things then at least you will know.

i did read on another CSD website today ( a site that was posted in another topic above) that if you must drink, stick to DRY wine - hope that helps.

A couple of glasses of wine every night will slow weight loss, but shouldn't do any other damage. Since wine is made from grapes, it is best to drink it on the fruit days, not the beef days.

If you love wine, can drink in moderation, and want to stay on the CSD too, why not save it for a treat on the otherwise deadly-boring fruit and fruit/veggie days. Heaven knows we need something to look forward to when the rice and potato are merely memories!

Unfortunately for me, after a glass of wine I come to believe that one bottle equals one serving, so I stay away from wine while I'm trying to lose weight.

Good luck and happy souping!

Yes, I agree with what Aerial says. I had to have alcohol the other day, but I had ONE Corona and that was it and i still lost. I would not make a habit of it though as this diet works best when you are strict and follow it.

Also be prepared that the alcohol may affect you more (it did for me) after you have been on the plan as you have a "new" cleansed system. Good luck
