Greetings.

I am a male, 5'8.5". The Doctor tells me I should be between 160-190 pounds. I started off weighting about 180 or so.

I followed the diet with great care, and did not cheat. I did however have a diet pop or ocassionally. The only other deviation was that I could not eat any more soup by the last day so I ate a 1/4 head of cabbage uncooked.

Results, I lost about 7 pounds. More importantly (and why I went on the diet) was I broke my sugar addiction.

What I would do different next time:
Make two seasoned versions of the soup. I started off loving my soup and was gaging by the end. I figure if I make two batches and alternate between them it will not be so bad next time.

The hardest days for me were day 3 and 4. No carbs and an active lifestyle that requires quick thinking and those days do not go together very well.

I will go back on it in about a week. I am trying to get down to at least 160 this summer. Only 13 pounds to go.

Hi schmleff and congratulations! Seven pounds your first week is great.

On the soup, I feel the same way and get tired of the same thing all the time. I make mine very plain, that is a lot of different veggies but few spices. When I'm ready to eat it, I spice up each bowl individually. One of my favorite things to do to it is to add in a good dose of cumin, chili powder and cayenne. Makes a sort of vegetarian chile which is a nice change.

Good luck on Round 2!

Good job. Hope my results are as good as yours> Congrats on not cheating at all, on Day 2, the lack of anything sweet was really hard for me, I had 1 cup of Special K vanilla almond, it is soooo good. On Day 1, I had rasins, but didn't know until afte that I was cheating. With being able to eat fruit today, i will go without cheating.

The "CEreal" we eat, is SUPPOSED to be "BRAN FLAKES" ONLY.
Good Luck to you

Actually, I think I lost a little more. After the "movements" begin to happen on a regular basis again I dropped at least another pound.
