Hi suj, I'm new to the CSD too but I believe that's the principle. Most of the veggies in the soup are also called "negative calorie foods" according to that diet. This means that your body needs to expend more energy to digest them than they contain themselves, resulting in more calories burned than consumed. So I've been eating all the soup I can and losing 1lb a day! Maybe it's true. IP: Logged |

Well, tryingn to cut back on soup will not improve weight loss. Vegetables have a negative calorie effect because they are high in water, fiber, and nutrition while still low in calories. When a food has lots of nutrition and fiber for the body to utilize, the body goes to work and burns calories. Its nearly impossible to get fat from vegetables so you can eat the soup w/o guilt. There is NO NEED to try to ration your portions of soup. Its there to fill you up WHENEVER you are hungry or craving something bad. Soup to the rescue. IP: Logged |
