Still Snowing..No Sunshine..Eat Fish for Your Vitamin D

I know some of my northern friends and family members are still experiencing snow! Hard to believe because it’s April right? We are supposed to be enjoying sunshine for our necessary Vitamin D intake!

It is recommended by health professionals that we have 600 IU (International Units) per day.

For those of you desperately seeking more Vitamin D then try some of these healthy choices:

Swordfish – (3 ounces equals 566 IU of Vitamin D)
Yogurt – (6 ounces equals 80 IU – read label of brands)
Salmon – (3 ounces equals 447 IU)
Eggs – (the yolk alone provides 41 IU)
Tuna (3 ounces equals 154 IU)
Milk (one cup equals between 110 and 125 IU – depends on the brand and product)

If you still need to lose some weight before wearing your Spring clothes then you might want to consider doing the Cabbage Soup Diet. You can eat all the soup you want along with a special menu for each day.
